  1. Mowbray did plenty wrong last year Miller. simple as. Like not changing formations sooner than he did when it was far too late. Cost us our playoff place. Some of us were calling for formation change long before Mowbray like myself. Yet we are 3rd of the league despite all the above. So what formation and tactics would you like to see us play? We played 4-2-3-1 formation today and doesn't that suit our team?
  2. That who I think you meant. 18 months left on his contract Who says we only signed back up players. Didn't we sign Hyam and Morton this summer who are first names on the team sheet?
  3. maybe we should look at loaning Leeds right back Cody Drameh for rest of the season. Did very well at Cardiff last season do you mean Gustavo Hamer? only 5ft 6 but very good quality midfielder I would look at Ryan Hardie from Plymouth. 8 goals this season and out of contract in 6 months I believe.
  4. I agree. It was you who would have put Wharton or Phillips up front instead of Hirst not me. I think you play players in the correct positions and play a formation that suits the players. Ayala was useful in the Sunderland box granted but I just wish he got to the final cross cos Hirst would have had a tap up and we would got something from that game I think bringing Travis on and moving Buckley was mistake. I think Morton is very good player and when he plays well so do Rovers. Big fan of Gallagher and I think he is good player for us. If we do replace Hirst for example would any new striker signing get much game time if Gallagher is fit anyway
  5. I would take the striker Ryan Hardie from Plymouth. We are 3rd in the league so we must have some pace, creativity and goalscorers. We missed Dolan today
  6. We should sign players that fit how JDT wants to play and fit how squad. We shouldn't copying other teams.
  7. I agree Rev. You play players in the correct positions.
  8. Gutted about losing today's game. Deserved a point. Thought JRC and Pickering were very good at stopping Roberts and Clarke having much impact. Thought Hyam and Ayala did fine against Stewart. I didn't think we ever got going today in attacking sense. That was disappointed for me today. Travis should do better for the second game. I do wonder if we should have bought on Wharton or Phillips for Dack and gone to back 5 to make sure we at least get a point from this game. I am not disheartened by today result and we moved on to the next game and lets get's maximum points from the next 2 home games now. Surely you support the team regardless whether you rate the players or not? Morton is key part of how we play and he has been a good loan signing for me is Sam Burns is good enough for Championship? Hirst need a run of games to see whether he is good enough at this level but he is going to bit part player with Gallagher the main striker and that the right choice. Markanday isn't striker either
  9. Mowbray did it last season against Luton away when he put Ayala up front for the last few minutes
  10. Has Mowbray hack your account? JRC was very good at right back at Norwich.
  11. Hirst and Markanday are the ones with the chance and opportunity to change if need be. Time they shown the talent and ability they got.
  12. Let's get a win and 3 points from this game.
  13. Hedges in for Dolan. Phillips, Markanday and Garrett come onto the bench
  14. yes the account show that. Reading them shown this and Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has said this. That without the sale of Armstrong and selling the training ground to Venkys we would have falling fouls of the FFP rules. It is very simple to understand and Rovers have reduce the wage bill over the last 2 years aswell. (1) Kieran Maguire on Twitter: "Blackburn parent company Venkys London had £20m loss to year ended 31 March 2022 but profits on sale of Armstrong and property assets to another Venky’s company turned this into a small profit #Rovers https://t.co/gQP6wriY78" / Twitter Surely we would need to bring in left side attacking player to replace BBD directly? I also don't subscribe to the notion that getting promote specifically this season cos BBD might leave in the summer. No club offered an amount we deems suitable to accept the offer. Now we have the new recruitment team in place we will hopefully be scouting for possible replacements for BBD whether it's attacking left side player or striker or both. Most of the recruitment team weren't in place during the first transfer window so I would say unfair to judge them on that. Gus Williams came in very late in July, Luke Griffin arrived in October as our head of European scouting, Luke Evans arrived in October as our head of Data Scouting. Only Tom Sutton joined in the summer. So I think it would be very unwise and unfair to pin any blame on the recruitment team that most weren't in place at that time. Surely you will accept it that? JDT has been here 6 months and we are 3rd in the league. Its been a great start and beyond my expectations for this season. JDT is working the league out and how he wants them to play and who fits that and not.
  15. This style of football has us 3rd so far so I would say we have more than reasonable chance of being in the playoffs picture come end of the season.
  16. The past is the part but we need have brought in people in specific roles that our Director of Football and Head of Recruitment so the time to judge isn't on Christmas eve but after next summer transfer window?
  17. We couldn't spend much last season cos we were on the FFP threshold. Do you honestly think selling BBD for less than double figures would be wise really for the team in terms of results and league table? Would we be 3rd right now in the league table if we sold BBD this summer?
  18. We have invested massively a new team in the recruitment departments where we can look and find these gems where in the summer just gone we wouldn't have that knowledge or inside on potential signings. We kept BBD cos he is one of the best player in the league and we never received an offer we deemed suitable to sell.
  19. It will be interesting to see what we do in January tbh.
  20. But we still get the financial reward of the PL money to offset any money we get from selling him now. We simple don't know what BBD will do after this season. Well Mowbray ain't going to tell us is he that he didn't need to sell Rothwell to fund other signings is he?
  21. Like I said previous we will have agree to disagree on Hirst. Who would you like us to sign has a striker in January since you want a striker signing?
  22. fair enough. I think BBD is worth at least double that if not more if we get promotion with him this season Who says it Gossip tho?
  23. You seen Hirst for yourself so you should know. Also I posted what I thought his attributes were after the Stoke Game.
  24. Lenihan and Nyambe were still in discussions with the club in January and was even towards end of the season? Haven't several posters claimed that Mowbray had more money to spend then he claim and he never spent his entire transfer budget each window?
