  1. If they won't re-sign then can you blame the club really? not sure. We have offered them new improve contracts so we have to see what happens. But I do think the club and the recruitment team have to be scouting permanent replacements for each of them. Like last week link with Hearts centre back John Souttar.
  2. I predicted mid table at the start of the season based on our squad . But after 12 games gone and having watched the league and see how it gone for us I think this current squad could and get top 6 if we keep most of best 11 players fit. But I also feel that the January transfer window will be crucial for us in determining where we finish this season. a good finish? top half I think we should part ways with Mowbray whatever happens this season unless he achieve promotion. I would like to new younger manager/Head coach in change
  3. Mike, It was a loan deal with a view permanent deal this coming summer so maybe thats where your 3 million pounds would have cost the club. I suspect that Rovers and if Mowbray(or whoever the manager/head coach) is here will revisit the deal and get it done. Maja has just returned to training I believe with his club Bordeaux and give that he has had a back injury which is current club confirm and then how is down to medical insurance cover.
  4. The reason why I asked you is that I don't sit in the Riverside and I am unaware of anyone who does like yourself so thats why I asked you the questions. The speakers seem fine in Blackburn End to be honest. I disagree it is unnecessary expense given that the old one needed replacing for the last few season and I have suggested a Rovers having a minute clock in the ground for years now. Plus the TV screen working properly is also necessary IMO.
  5. Another manager who is finding tough this season just like Hughton and Warnock have this season. I think we need go for younger modern coach who is good tactician and can sort the defence out. Football at this level is having a football reset financially and clubs don't have the same amount of money as before the pre pandemic times. Rovers have signed players who want to come and play football for the right reasons and not just for financial reasons. Would you sell Lenihan, Nyambe and Rothwell if they won't sign new contracts in January? then sign replacements for them
  6. Well I hope you forward to the grass growing in the winter Mercer, Each fan has made they made their choice whether to give up going and not renew or Keep going to games and buying a season ticket. The appointment of Ince or Kean or Coyle never forced me away from attending Ewood Park and no manager appointment would to be honest Maybe you have forget that most championship clubs have a finiancial reset and looking to cut their budget. Brereton I suspect will move to PL club like Newcastle or a Spanish club in the summer for around 20 million pounds. I put the most of the blame on Coyle and the squad he assemble that summer. Of Course you won't blame that dingle tho. Mercer, like you keep saying time after time like your "tipping point" posts over the years. Its never happened and I serious doubt this one will. You been saying it for 10 months and quite frankly He must been on on very long walking route to Ewood Park to join us. Though at least he getting plenty of exercise tho I have said that we need a modern day coach who is good with tactics, training and will keep bringing through the good young players we have at academy level. Steve Cooper would have been the ideal candidate before he joined Forest. It would be interesting to see who Rovers would go if we have a managerial vacancy and the type of manager/head coach we would go for.
  7. Predicted a mid table finish this season with if we have some luck with injuries and maybe add 2 or 3 quality players in January we could get top 6.
  8. Didn't blame Waggott tho in my post did I? Like I said with football at most Championship and below clubs having a financial reset and cutting budgets, players will look to for the best wages they can. We have our wage budget and we have to keep to it. Players like Lenihan, Rothwell and Nyambe have a big decision to make. Stick or twist. But for me, Rovers should be scouting for replacements and players who are our of contract like John Souttar and Jo Kenny from Everton next summer
  9. Swansea have outplayed Cardiff all game. They have been poor all game. Swansea have played some good stuff today. Been impressed by their right wing back Laird
  10. Thankyou very much. Very sorry to hear this. I don't know if Carter was too ill to be on bench. Butterworth agreed and would like to see more of him. Khadra has been the best of the loan players and give us a different options wide. Poveda and Clarkson haven't been good enough. Van Hecke first game yesterday
  11. It was posted on here by several different posters. Why would they posted factually incorrectly information? Depends what those changes are.
  12. Had we signed Maja it would have been brilliant. Yes it was inexcusable not to sign an Armstrong's replacement as I said previously. I would targeting Maja in January and Healey next summer We weren't spending 3 mil on Maja. It's a season long with view to signing him permanent next summer. Next summer we will lose season 1 spend of around 9 to 10 million pounds. Meaning we are spend some money plus probably some of the Brereton's money from his sale this coming summer.
  13. Maybe so or not. Sadly I can predict what Venkys will do. Some players weren't fully fit cos of illness or slight injuries meaning a lack of training over the past week. But they man up and played they part for us in yesterday game. Rather that then miss the game tbh. It's a fair point you make and reasonable. Depends who you and are they available. I know who I would want but would Venkys tho. Plus who is picking the next manager. What would you be happy then? Buckley is a centre midfielder who will control games for us.
  14. The championship is not piss pot league at all but a league that is very competitive and enjoyable to watch where anyone can beat anyone. Also instead of saying majority of fans let say its not what you want to support the club for. Sorry but the buck doesn't stop with Mowbray over new contracts and he has very little part in the contract negotiations to be honest. Waggott does them. Plus you don't factor that most championship clubs have financial reset and not willing to over pay players and in fact cut the budgets and be less reliant on the owners money. I think he is far from shit manager and he was excellent for the club in the 3 years of his reign given the totally mess that Coyle left us after his sacking. Mercer, well in all fairness you have been predicting this for the last 9/10 months now and quite frankly its been pathetic to keep reading. Another one of your prediction that never happened. I have always said since the summer that I suspect that November international break would be where they decide to stick or twist with Mowbray and his future here, I wonder where Alex Neil is on his longest walk to Ewood Park manager seat we seen ever? Thats must be one long route to the club.
  15. well thats their decision to work away and not attend the games. Not something I could do. Kean or Coyle appointments didn't forced me away under Venkys reign and neither did Paul Ince appointment under John Williams and Tom Finn reign. I will always attend games unless I can't due to ill health I'm not sure that Mowbray and Waggott are anyway close as you suspect after last season falling out and that Waggott tried to oust him. You don't know if the owners watch the game or not so this point is pretty pointless debating it. But they do need funding the club and our academy.
  16. I would be happy with a mid table this season and then replace Mowbray with a new manager/head coach coming in this summer and spending the money that should be available given that we can spend money and FFP year 1 spend is gone given us more room to spend.
  17. Well IMO, a bigger and more clearly scoreboard and mins board has been needed for years. The graphics on the old one wasn't clearer enough. I also like the fact we have TV screen which you can see replays on in the ground. Yes the ground does need a clearing and improving the facilities at the club. I would like the club to have free Wi-Fi in the ground for all fans and maybe a commentary service for fans inside the ground like we seen in England test match grounds for years now with commentary from SkySports What speakers aren't working? Like I said before that this league is very competitive and around 12/13 teams apart from the 3 or 4 sides like Bournmouth, Fulham, WBA and maybe Sheffield United have quality above those teams. Thats why you see such results like Coventry recently, beating Fulham 4-1 but previous game losing 5 nil to Luton. So thats leaves 2 to 3 playoffs open to 12/13 teams to get those pl;ayoffs spot. Well, where can I start with this, You know the reasons why we didn't get a replacement in and why we couldn't spend money we received cos we have to meet FFP rules and not having an official embargo from the FA. I disagree that its just 2 key injuries that made us uncompetitive cos its a load of rubbish. We were more than competitive in those 2 games and deserve more those 2 games. Carter has done more than enough to show he is worth his place in this squad. You continuously downplayed our squad quality and the players we have. There is plenty of decent quality in the squad beyond that 11 you named and to be honest I have no idea why you continuously do it for. Players like Edun, Wharton, Carter, JRC, Khadra, Butterworth, Johnson, and Clarkson all have quality to add to that 11 you named. And Yes I believe we could make top 6 if we keep key players fit and in form plus we stop losing leads like yesterday
  18. Bournemouth looking very good at the minute and deserved to be top of the league. # Listening to BBC Radio Lancs on the way home post, alot of PNE fans aren't happy at the minute with their team
  19. Brentford vs Chelsea game was excellent game and very enjoyable to watch
  20. Who knows what the owners will do or so. I don't know what the set as the target for Mowbray this season. I thought they were a good chance he would go towards the end of the season and given that Waggott tried to oust him from his position last season from what a number of posters have posted on here, I expected a mid table(around 9 to 14/15th) finish this season given our squad but a possibleablitity of a chance of top 6 if we kept our key players and in form. If you are asking what my tipping point would be if I was the owner of the club? I would given him until the November international break and judge him on the season performances and results. Make a decision to stick or twist. Plus see who is available and who I want to replace him with if a decision is there to be made. Its the owners of Blackburn Rovers who decide the manager's future. Plenty of Rovers fans have different opinions and views on Mowbray and whether he should be here, Everyone is entitled to their opinions whether you believe its right or wrong. I am not going to tell what to do or think over Mowbray's future, I don't hate Mowbray or have any angry towards him. I have a grateful for the rebuilding he done here after Coyle's show here and league 1 promotion in the first sand only season in that league and the 18 months after the promotion season. But I do feel that last time after the Barnsley away game in February that a managerial change should have made then. Not sure they are mates anymore given what people on here have posted on here about falling out last season Thats where I totally disagree. There is no chanting cos IMO the majority of those who attend Ewood Park are happy with Mowbray in charge. Even at Blackpool away it wasn't Mowbray, its time to go chants, But Mowbray sort it out chants
  21. so you keep saying time after time without any thing to back it up. I think we will finish mid table and after looking at the squad before the start of the season is what I predicted and I think we will have a squad shake up this season. For me, the players are exploring the contract situation and given the drop off in financial state of many championship clubs not willing to over spend and maybe some players want a new challenge. I don't see Waggott going anywhere currently and Mowbray's contract is up at the end of the season and thats why I like to see a change of manager and footballing structure, in the summer if not before.
