  1. The championship is not piss pot league at all but a league that is very competitive and enjoyable to watch where anyone can beat anyone. Also instead of saying majority of fans let say its not what you want to support the club for. Sorry but the buck doesn't stop with Mowbray over new contracts and he has very little part in the contract negotiations to be honest. Waggott does them. Plus you don't factor that most championship clubs have financial reset and not willing to over pay players and in fact cut the budgets and be less reliant on the owners money. I think he is far from shit manager and he was excellent for the club in the 3 years of his reign given the totally mess that Coyle left us after his sacking. Mercer, well in all fairness you have been predicting this for the last 9/10 months now and quite frankly its been pathetic to keep reading. Another one of your prediction that never happened. I have always said since the summer that I suspect that November international break would be where they decide to stick or twist with Mowbray and his future here, I wonder where Alex Neil is on his longest walk to Ewood Park manager seat we seen ever? Thats must be one long route to the club.
  2. well thats their decision to work away and not attend the games. Not something I could do. Kean or Coyle appointments didn't forced me away under Venkys reign and neither did Paul Ince appointment under John Williams and Tom Finn reign. I will always attend games unless I can't due to ill health I'm not sure that Mowbray and Waggott are anyway close as you suspect after last season falling out and that Waggott tried to oust him. You don't know if the owners watch the game or not so this point is pretty pointless debating it. But they do need funding the club and our academy.
  3. I would be happy with a mid table this season and then replace Mowbray with a new manager/head coach coming in this summer and spending the money that should be available given that we can spend money and FFP year 1 spend is gone given us more room to spend.
  4. Well IMO, a bigger and more clearly scoreboard and mins board has been needed for years. The graphics on the old one wasn't clearer enough. I also like the fact we have TV screen which you can see replays on in the ground. Yes the ground does need a clearing and improving the facilities at the club. I would like the club to have free Wi-Fi in the ground for all fans and maybe a commentary service for fans inside the ground like we seen in England test match grounds for years now with commentary from SkySports What speakers aren't working? Like I said before that this league is very competitive and around 12/13 teams apart from the 3 or 4 sides like Bournmouth, Fulham, WBA and maybe Sheffield United have quality above those teams. Thats why you see such results like Coventry recently, beating Fulham 4-1 but previous game losing 5 nil to Luton. So thats leaves 2 to 3 playoffs open to 12/13 teams to get those pl;ayoffs spot. Well, where can I start with this, You know the reasons why we didn't get a replacement in and why we couldn't spend money we received cos we have to meet FFP rules and not having an official embargo from the FA. I disagree that its just 2 key injuries that made us uncompetitive cos its a load of rubbish. We were more than competitive in those 2 games and deserve more those 2 games. Carter has done more than enough to show he is worth his place in this squad. You continuously downplayed our squad quality and the players we have. There is plenty of decent quality in the squad beyond that 11 you named and to be honest I have no idea why you continuously do it for. Players like Edun, Wharton, Carter, JRC, Khadra, Butterworth, Johnson, and Clarkson all have quality to add to that 11 you named. And Yes I believe we could make top 6 if we keep key players fit and in form plus we stop losing leads like yesterday
  5. Bournemouth looking very good at the minute and deserved to be top of the league. # Listening to BBC Radio Lancs on the way home post, alot of PNE fans aren't happy at the minute with their team
  6. Brentford vs Chelsea game was excellent game and very enjoyable to watch
  7. Who knows what the owners will do or so. I don't know what the set as the target for Mowbray this season. I thought they were a good chance he would go towards the end of the season and given that Waggott tried to oust him from his position last season from what a number of posters have posted on here, I expected a mid table(around 9 to 14/15th) finish this season given our squad but a possibleablitity of a chance of top 6 if we kept our key players and in form. If you are asking what my tipping point would be if I was the owner of the club? I would given him until the November international break and judge him on the season performances and results. Make a decision to stick or twist. Plus see who is available and who I want to replace him with if a decision is there to be made. Its the owners of Blackburn Rovers who decide the manager's future. Plenty of Rovers fans have different opinions and views on Mowbray and whether he should be here, Everyone is entitled to their opinions whether you believe its right or wrong. I am not going to tell what to do or think over Mowbray's future, I don't hate Mowbray or have any angry towards him. I have a grateful for the rebuilding he done here after Coyle's show here and league 1 promotion in the first sand only season in that league and the 18 months after the promotion season. But I do feel that last time after the Barnsley away game in February that a managerial change should have made then. Not sure they are mates anymore given what people on here have posted on here about falling out last season Thats where I totally disagree. There is no chanting cos IMO the majority of those who attend Ewood Park are happy with Mowbray in charge. Even at Blackpool away it wasn't Mowbray, its time to go chants, But Mowbray sort it out chants
  8. so you keep saying time after time without any thing to back it up. I think we will finish mid table and after looking at the squad before the start of the season is what I predicted and I think we will have a squad shake up this season. For me, the players are exploring the contract situation and given the drop off in financial state of many championship clubs not willing to over spend and maybe some players want a new challenge. I don't see Waggott going anywhere currently and Mowbray's contract is up at the end of the season and thats why I like to see a change of manager and footballing structure, in the summer if not before.
  9. first half he looked fine and good at left side of the back 3. Second half he got exposed there. We invited pressure cos we sat back as defensive unit and our defensive line was too deep by around 15 yards in my opinion. Thought Dolan did that well first half but he was shattered second half and thats understandable given he been ill all week and only a hour of training this week. Gallagher should be better at holding the ball up, but also we need to look at the quality of the out ball I think the majority of the time we look solid and good but we can't defending properly for 90 minutes. We have to agree to disagree on him and his performance.
  10. why? We are 9th in league and overall I would imagine The owners and Waggott are happy with it so far. What was your expectations league position wise at the start of the season and would you take 9th place finish at the start of the season? They was no negative chanting towards Mowbray during the game. Did you hear anything?
  11. well considered he barely trained all week from what I am told, He put in a shift again but not 100% fit Thought he was awful and he lost the ball too many time and not what we need when he came on
  12. Just back from the game and It's a game when we should be having 3 points from and win on the board. But we aren't and I will discuss in my opinion why that is. So on to first half, Both sides had chances with Kaminski making 2 good saves whilst Nyambe had a shot that forced their keeper Moore into a good side. We scored 2 good goals with Rothwell and Gallagher scoring. Like I said in the build up to the games I am not worried about us scoring goals cos the players always step up and performs. I felt the 3 at the back was working well and we look quite solid. My only 2 concerns at half time was Buckley being booked and Gallagher overall performance. Second half we started off slow and for me far too deep was defensive line of our back 3. We need to push up and play 15 yards further forward but we couldn't keep hold of the ball enough. And We conceded twice with 7 mins of each other. Felt we let them in far too easily for the first goal and Lenihan/Edun should have done better but this was after a poor pass by Gallagher to allow them the ball back. With the second goal, we left loads of space in centre midfield and Kelly had space and time to hit it and he did. It was Own goal but we were far too easy to play against. After the second goal went in, the Rovers fans wanted Brereton Diaz on and was chanting for him to come on. And he did. He lift the crowd and his team mates. Thought he would win it for us and he almost did. But it was good save from Moore and I think offside he was. So it was point on the board. I Felt Rovers best players was Joe Rothwell and Ryan Nyambe today. Rothwell deserved MOTM and Nyambe was very good aswell. Lenihan had a good first half but was poor second half and looked uneasy at the left centre back role. On to the Rovers playing 3 at the back, I felt the first half we look quite solid and second half I didn't feel like it was problem and the reasons why we conceded 2 goals and playing so badly second half. On the subs, Mowbray should have taken Buckley off a half time or just after second half(first 10 mins of the half) cos we need a midfielder who could have put tackles in and Buckley couldn't due to being on Yellow card from first half. I wouldn't have bought on Poveda for Dolan but I would have bought on Butterworth.. Poveda was poor again and lost the ball a number of times. I would send him back to Leeds in January if he doesn't improve shortly. Agree with Brereton for Gallagher who was poor despite his goal. On Mowbray, Far too slow second half to making changes to the team. Plus why isn't he telling the back 5 to push further up the pitch instead of being so deep. Plus why can't we keep clean sheet when we are 2 nil up or winning. The fans was great again and provide a good overall atmosphere and the Coventry fans played their part in this. Also It was good to see the TV screen working and showing the lineups and Replays. Plus enjoyed the new scoreboard and minute clock that the club have installed now. Good to finally see this. Plus David Speedie came on to the pitch at half time and got a good reception from both set of fans
  13. Don't know why. Coventry play a similar and front 2 so having 3 centre backs against 2 strikers males sense to me
  14. Not at all. Why don't you go and Burns play before just a judgement on a player you have never seen play
  15. Gallagher and Dolan must be fit enough for today if Burns gone on loan
  16. The 2 car parks/derelict land are used by the club officials, players and fans. Plus that's not a lot to build on tbh.
  17. Who scoring goals and playing regularly? Brereton is the right man at the minute. Scoring, performing and improving. Surridge isn't even playing regularly at Stoke
  18. You knew what I meant Rigger. so why do you prefer Surridge over Brereton given his goalscoring record this season?
  19. so what do you like about Sam Surridge's game so much?
