  1. Vale, Leonard and Wood are ahead of Sam Burns now looking at the team sheet recently. I think in January he needs a move to club in January, where he can first team football whether that league 2 or Conference level
  2. He was at Ewood Park training with the 18 players pre game, and he was 19 man in the squad in case anyone got injury in the warm ups. Phillips was given the weekend off to spend with his family
  3. Not for me at this stage. Morton is at Liverpool for a reason. Him and Wharton are very different types of midfielders aswell. Morton is our playmaker in that starting 11.
  4. Buckley is ahead of his cos of the type of midfielder he is but Adam Wharton will get his chance in the coming weeks
  5. Wilder surely can't have long left at Boro. If either club should their manager, who would they go for? interesting question
  6. Delighted with a win against a team that is defensive and solid with not much threat going forward unless they bring on more attacking options and change formation. First half was caging from both teams looking not to give much away in the first half. JDT sent the players few minutes early out for the second half, and we watched a better performance. More tempo and movement from them. We scored 2 goals even if each goal had a bit of luck about it. I didn't see Millwall scoring today. Rovers did more than enough to see the game out apart from 2 good chances for them. I think we just about deserved to win the game. Hedges's right wing back position was shock and I didn't understand it at the start of the game. It worked overall cos Hedges was our best attacking player today. My man of the match was Hedges and Hyam. I think we seen glimpses from Hirst and Szmodics why we signed them. I didn't understand the Carter and Dack subs to be honest, but its 3 points and we are 6th after 11 games which I didn't think we would be under JDT at this stage of the season. JDT's Blue and White Army 🔵⚪ Cos JDT prefers Morton and Travis has his first choice pairing which is understandable, and I think Morton had a good game today Should have left in the summer.
  7. well at least you got your entertainment and goals for your fiver.
  8. I've asked Rich Sharpe for you and he replied its free for fans to attend. Hopefully it's a Rovers win to watcv
  9. 2 years Championship experience he has at this level
  10. it was last season
  11. Hull need an experience head coach in there, someone like Carlos Corberan would be ideal for them. Surprised Rotherham haven't appointed anyone yet either
  12. Been rumours for the last 2 weeks that he would be sacked
  13. Good luck to you Joe and hope you bring success to that club
  14. Is it you Joe that Rovers have appoint for the role
  15. I would still start this game with this team and given Mola will be under 21's so I would put Morton on the bench instead Going for 2 nil win with Hirst and Brereton Diaz scoring
  16. Team news is everyone is fit apart from Sam Barnes. Jack Vale and Clinton Mola will play with the under 21's https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/22879366.blackburn-rovers-fitness-boost-ahead-millwall-visit/
  17. Jon Dahl Tomasson says Sam Szmodics gave a good response to not being included in the last two matchday squads and dropping into the Under-21s for their win at Tottenham Hotspur. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/22886293.no-complaining-szmodics-says-blackburn-rovers-boss/
  18. Dier is a good centre back. He is suited to playing the middle of the back 3. Playing well for Spurs under Conte. K-Hod mentioned Ben White who is someone I forget about to be honest. He has been good for Arsenal. Plus Stones and Tomori are other centre backs I would be taking to the world cup. I think your assumption would be right. Its not the way I would go. I would go 4-2-3-1 against all 3, but I think Southgate will go 3-4-3 against Wales.
  19. He is form and Southgate should be picking him ahead of Maguire for sure who isn't in form at all
  20. Well, that isn't a surprised is it given that it was stubbornness and unwillingness to change our formation and tactics that cost us our playoff place and chance of promotion. With that fact you backed sticking with the back 3 formation that wasn't working for weeks after weeks. It simply doesn't matter how long you wanted him out for. Irrelevant to be honest. Venkys continue to back the club and every manager/head coach who is appointed. We had Money to spend in January and several well-respected posters have posted this on here. Yes I know Rovers could have signed a young PL striker on loan last January and Mowbray refuse the deal. I know who this striker was. I think he would have good option for us for 4 months. Mowbray was backed last summer and he had budget to spend and he decided to sign 5 players with it, He still have money left over from it. Maybe if Maja had sign on loan then the budget might have been spent, but we didn't. Mowbray then decided to sign 5 during that window, and people have posted on here he still money left over. I am led to believe that the owners give the budget to the club for the season and its down to the Manager in Mowbray case or now down to Broughton and Tomasson how we spend that budget over the season. The Armstrong money went to settled last season FFP requirements. You don't sell key players to your rivals in a promotion race, and you don't sell your key goal scorer on the cheap like you would have accepted low offers for him from 3 clubs. We spend around 2 million in fees and Mowbray was allowed to sign 12 players during that season and have a squad over 30 players. Plus, covid hit the club heard in terms of revenue and no money coming into the club. Yet the owners backed the manager and club in the money. Also, why the bought the training ground to help us with FFP this season. More money they put into the club. The academy is producing quality players who are first team standard so they should be part of the squad. JDT has been willing to put his faith and believe in players like Adam Wharton, Sam Barnes, Ash Phillips and Jack Vale to make them part of first team squad
  21. Huddersfield have appointed Mark Fotheringham as their new head coach to replace Danny Schofield. This is his first role as number 1.
