I agree. It was you who would have put Wharton or Phillips up front instead of Hirst not me. I think you play players in the correct positions and play a formation that suits the players. Gutted about losing today's game. Deserved a point. Thought JRC and Pickering were very good at stopping Roberts and Clarke having much impact. Thought Hyam and Ayala did fine against Stewart. I didn't think we ever got going today in attacking sense. That was disappointed for me today. Travis should do better for the second game. I do wonder if we should have bought on Wharton or Phillips for Dack and gone to back 5 to make sure we at least get a point from this game. I also don't subscribe to the notion that getting promote specifically this season cos BBD might leave in the summer. No club offered an amount we deems suitable to accept the offer. Now we have the new recruitment team in place we will hopefully be scouting for possible replacements for BBD whether it's attacking left side player or striker or both. Most of the recruitment team weren't in place during the first transfer window so I would say unfair to judge them on that.
