  1. I don't see alot of candidates out there I want here. If in fact my list of people I don't want here is longer tbh the Coates family are very loyal people. Who said Dyche is even ready to return to management right now or in then summer. Plenty of people are guessing as per usual
  2. Mike Atherton, Nasser Hussain and Michael Vaughan all backing Ben Stokes to replace Joe Root as England test Captain. Also some interesting comments by Nasser Hussain when people compare Stokes to Botham or Flintoff, And Mike Atherton on people suggesting a Mike Brearley type of appointment. Fellow former England captains Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain agree with Vaughan that Stokes is the ‘obvious’ candidate to take over the side. ‘You’ve got to pick somebody who is worth his place in the side,’ Atherton told Sky Sports. ‘I think the days are long gone where you could have a Mike Brearley-type figure, who wouldn’t necessarily be a first-choice pick. ‘Just because of the scrutiny, you need to be worth your place in the side, so Ben Stokes is the obvious candidate.’ Hussain added: ‘For me the obvious candidate is Ben Stokes. People say, “Oh, Ben Stokes”, do you know what happened to [Andrew] Flintoff and [Sir Ian] Botham? ‘Ben Stokes is not Flintoff and he’s not Botham, don’t judge him by how other people have done. ‘Stokes has done some phenomenal things as a cricketer and has a very smart cricket brain. He showed that when he’s taken over occasionally from Joe Root.’ Michael Vaughan names the 'only option' to replace Joe Root as England captain (msn.com)
  3. Well if your opinion is that Dyche is a realistic candidate to replace Mowbray but I think I have been very clear why I wouldn't want him here and that I think he is unrealistic choice. no idea
  4. Haven't Stoke Owners recently backed Michael O'Neill for next season? Would anyone take Michael O'Neill here as Mowbray's replacement? I think Michael O'Neill did a great job with Northern Ireland and I have surprised that he has not got Stoke into the top 6 so far given their squad there
  5. Correct it take to roll that dice Just been appointed CSKA Sofia manager
  6. Well I knew plenty about him from his England coaching days and he won the under 17's world cup with England. Given that he was at Swansea for 2 years and he got them into the playoffs twice I would expect most footballing fans on here would know him. He is far from relative unknown but I watched alot of football and read alot about it. I guess whether you follow alot of football news outside of your club. I would suggested it more to do with the financially impact on the club if they do get relegation. Burnley ownership model cannot work in the championship
  7. You cannot absolve the players of any of the responsible of this current form and They need fair share of the blame. Where is the passion from the players in recent games cos I have seen none. It is simple not good enough and the last 2 games have felt like pre-season games at times. Depend on that club and who it is. I can't see Venkys letting Mowbray go to India at all. Mowbray has been very clearly that no contract talks have taken place and given that Pasha is here. If we don't go up then I don't see any new contract for him. Mowbray and the players have not been good enough over the season and the last 3 months form has been utter and totally disappointment and I am still annoyed/angry right now cos I know we have blow out bet chance of going up in years. Mowbray has not been good enough and we need a new man in the 1st team managerial seat for next season.
  8. The players should know how to defend and currently our defence is woeful. Take the players take some responsible for their pathetic performance in recent weeks.
  9. I am livid and annoyed tonight. This performance was simply not good enough for most of the game. Brereton took his chance well and scored. Defensively we were bloody awful. It is now acceptable and whether it back 5 or back 4 we are so open and no leadership on the pitch or from Mowbray on the touchline. After we scored we should be defending for our lives and keeping it solid as rock. If we had this we win that game and are 6th in the league. Instead we are wide open and lose. Now 8th. Our Defence was solid as rock during our winning/unbeaten spell but now our defence is wide open and I could drive a London Bus through those gaps. This form is simple unacceptable and our playoffs hope have gone now. We need to start thinking of next season and who we will appoint as Mowbray's replacement. We need someone who knows what the club means like Ainsworth or find the next Steve Cooper someone like Ryan Mason or Jason Wilcox.
  10. In recent weeks I have changed my views as I explained to you Sunday or Monday I think my reasons for changing my opinion
  11. That was awful to watch. The back 5 isn't solid or tight enough when it should be. Far too relaxed on the ball, no passion or effort from any of the players. You would think we had nothing to play for at times. Feel for Nyambe getting subbed to be honest. didn't deserve that really. Now Mowbray has gone for 4-3-2 formation with Gallagher and Brereton. But when we play 5 at the back he wants to play Buckley as false 9 instead of going 5-3-2 with 2 main strikers and Buckley, Travis and another in midfielder. Edun deserved the red card for 2 stupid fouls. no sympathy for him. With Sheffield United losing Rovers need to win this game. It will be a big summer cos we need to recruit a new manager/head coach and head of recruitment plus around 8 to 10 signings. On Point 2, We have moved to this formation but Buckley in centre mid with Travis and Johnson. But with Mowbray we all know he could change formation and we lose it
  12. Gallagher deserved to start this game given he was the man of the match in the last and played well. The back 3 should have been dropped by now but Mowbray has ever being stubborn. why would Rooney turned down the Everton manager job 3 months ago to stay loyal to Derby. Plus Derby are set to take over by Chris Kircher. So why would he go to Burnley?
  13. Like I said many times before today I would not want Dyche here at Blackburn Rovers. My stance hasn't change because of today news. People who are even suggesting him to be appoint him here are being unrealistic. I think he would be unrealistic in most situations for us in my opinion. No need for me to have lie down mate cos my points are reasonable and sensible. Struber is managing in MLS currently and he came to us he would have good chance getting us promote within a couple of seasons imo.
  14. back 5 again 😡 Mowbray is again being stubborn and sticking with back 5. Its not working for weeks and weeks. But far too stubborn. No Rothwell I see in the match day squad
  15. Look at the squad and how many players Mowbray has brought since coming through. Of Course Mowbray wanted Travis and Wharton otherwise they wouldn't be in the squad.
  16. Have I said I wouldn't give him a chance if appoint? maybe re read what I have posted like its unrealistic suggestion for the Rovers next manager and He wouldn;t be on My shortlist
  17. Wrong Roverandout. Its was terrible appointment on day 1 but I gave him a chance to prove me wrong which he miserably failed at.
  18. until we get there we won't know will we. But we are the championship and the focus should be bringing in a manager/head coach who will bring through our academy players into the first team squad whilst aiming for promotion. Dyche wouldn't be on my shortlist. Simple as. I will leave it on this subject
  19. wow 1 player. I think Lenihan and Travis are PL level for me.
  20. I think I have been very clear on Dyche coming to here and I wouldn't be in favour it. Don't think I can been anymore clear on my opinion.
