  1. looking forward to tonight game. My team based on Mowbray pre match comments Kaminski Lenihan Van Hecke Wharton JRC Travis Rothwell Edun Buckely Gallagher Brereton subs:- Pears Ayala Davenport Johnson Khadra Butterworth Dolan/Markanday
  2. Rovers won’t abandon their prudent approach to spending despite being in promotion contention with 20 games remaining. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19857095.blackburn-rovers-right-prudent-says-tony-mowbray/ Asked of his recent contact with the owners, Mowbray said: “Suhail talks to the owners every single day and I talk to Suhail every single day so there’s a very direct line through a conduit. “Suhail had a big part in me joining this club, my relationship with him is very strong. “I hope there’s a strong trust there between us. “Indirectly, as opposed to speaking to them directly, I speak to them on a daily basis.”
  3. I think Rooney or Lampard would be right appointment. They are appointed managers from Europe and gone nowhere
  4. Healey's goals I'm the past 3 season from 18/19, 19/20, 20/21. https://youtu.be/uL92VKZQPpw https://youtu.be/-nNCE_vees0 https://youtu.be/uZ7gy_rvrhw
  5. Signing number 3 of this window is done. Looking forward to seeing he plays for Rovers now
  6. No chance. Just look at the job he done at Derby in shocking circumstances And who to say a former player who gets wins?
  7. he has been injury for most the season so far and he is on his way back to training and getting fit again. and would he not be part of the first team there given they have sold Torres for 55 million to Barcelona
  8. I haven't said whether it will be good or bad signing at all. I will make that judgement when he or any other players when they sign here and put a Rovers shirt on. Yes I think he someone I thought sign in the past summer but with the way we play currently I'm not sure how he fit into the our team style and structure/formation
  9. I don't think Dyche has evolve the style of play like Hughes did here during his tenure. I know you have improve and invest in the academy structure. I do wonder how much involved Mike Rigg has recruitment and scouting there. He played a big part in scouting under Mark Hughes I agree that you need signings this month and in the summer but I do wonder what the owners and Dyche will do now and in the summer if Dyche is there. I do wonder if Dyche will walk away in the summer saying he has done as much as at the club and wants a fresh challenge. It wouldn't surprise me one bit
  10. Joe Rothwell admits he's loving his football at the moment after netting the match-winner at Cardiff City at the weekend. "The most I’ve enjoyed my football in my career" | rovers.co.uk
  11. Why? Should be release or sold. His time here is done. time to us to me and for him to find a new club where he can play regular football Can you explain why you think signing Healey would be incredibly underwhelming?
  12. Healey from Toulouse on loan to permanent move in the summer?
  13. why did the Board not invest and back Dyche after your 7th place finish? Do you not think most managers have a shelf life at a club? Are Burnley looking more towards developing your own players more than previous seasons given your investment in the academy there? The fans I was speaking to over the Christmas/New Year period have been going for the last 25/30 years apart from the Covid pandemic stopping fans from going?
  14. Close to signing number 3 now
  15. Think some of them fancy a change to freshen things up and change of direction. After 10 years in the job a change might not be the worst thing in the world A few names were mention to me in the pub over Christmas/New Year period talking to Burnley fans there
  16. Like I said in previous post. I would bring in Paul Farbrace as Director of Cricket/England team director role. With Michael Atherton as Chief Selector role with Angus Fraser and Steve Rhodes as selectors/scouts. Then I would split the coaching duties into 2 job roles between a Test Head Coach and One day/twenty20 head coach. My choice would be Alec Stewart as Test Head Coach with Paul Collingwood the one day/twenty20 head coach. I would keep Joe Root as Test Captain but several changes to the test squad for the West Indies test series. Here is my squad for that series, Root(C), Stokes(VC), Crawley, Lees, Yates, Pope, Bairstow, Billings(WK), Foakes(WK), Broad, Robinson, Wood, Mahmood, Woakes, Anderson, Parkinson, Leach here are 3 opening batters of which 2 of them, I would taking on the West Indies in James Bracey, Alex Lees and Rob Yates. With one of them starting the first test as opening partner with Zak Crawley. Ben Foakes would be my Wicketkeeper batsman at 7. I would take Sadiq Mahmood and Matt Parkinson aswell in my squad for that tour.
  17. They have scour Europe time after time for managers and look at what they achieved, not very much. IMO, they need to take a step back and have a serious look at the recruitment, scouting and who is the manager is. For me, They need someone who knows the club and PL, will ignite the fans passion for the club again. for me, Only Wayne Rooney or Frank Lampard or Duncan Ferguson as next manager/head coach. Plus appointed a good director of football like Dan Ashworth or Michael Emanalo in that role. But the clubs need to sorted of the buying of players cos they have made so many poor signings is pathetic
