  1. Same argument you made when arguing that Brereton couldn't replace Armstrong goals from last season. How many goals has Brereton got now? 10 goals in 11 league games. Well they wont be many goals they either if they don't play. I always thought that they were player in Brereton and I am now pleased that we are seeing the full benefit of his talent. and no I don't he is wasting himself playing for our club After yesterday game I think Edun has to play left and tbh I quite like Dolan playing off a main striker at the minute. Rovers have a 12 month extension on his contract. But I hoping he signs a 3 years contract. Plus depends who is the manager comes the summer and next season will decide Brereton future here.
  2. Good for you Ian. Thanks for reply.
  3. might sell being the key words but I would imagine that Rangers will get Rothwell to agree pre contract forcing our hand to sell him on the cheap
  4. Is Brereton going to miss the Coventry game? Well after Edun performance yesterday I would suggest he would start and We might well play 4-4-2 with Butterworth and Dolan up front with Buckley, Rothwell, Travis, Edun in midfield four. With Sam Burns on the bench
  5. Well I did read the article but if Rothwell signs a pre contract agreement with Rangers on the 1st January then Rovers wouldn't be selling him unless it to Rangers for a small fee. Doesn't matter if Rovers would to sell in January if he signed pre contract agreement
  6. I said last season that I wanted of manager. that view hasn't change. But I don't decide Mowbray's future and can't influence that to change. What more do you want? Plus I have alot of faith in our players and their quality
  7. shocking comment. I agreed there, He has been excellent this season and really step up to the plate to replace Armstrong's goals agreed.
  8. Well we see what happens in the coming months. Players are assessing their options like they are allow to. But as you seen this past summer, Most championship clubs are in a financial reset where they arent overpaying in wages and not paying transfer fees
  9. Well I believe he is signing a new contract and thats come from someone who spoken to his parents at Yesterday game
  10. Waggott has said they have been offered a new improve contracts during his interview which is in the public domain. Plus we have lost the out of contract players from last summer who were very decent salaries like Evens, Holtby, Bennett, etc. So there is money available. Plus we gave new contracts to Buckley, Carter, Dolan, over recent times.
  11. what a load of tosh. I was posting that we should be challenging for playoffs this season during the summer. where you? of course not! Most on here were happy just staying up. Well I am not.
  12. isn't it about Rangers wanting to sign Rothwell on a pre contract in January?
  13. Rovers beat Chelsea 1 nil with Sam Burns scoring a 11th minute penalty today. Game just finished. Here was team that played.
  14. It vital we tied down Lenihan, Brereton, Nyambe, Kaminski, Travis and Eastham to new contracts and I would be looking a new long term contract for Sam Burns who I think will be star in the future.
  15. The former Granada head coach Diego Martinez could be next in line for Watford
  16. My match thoughts are the first half we were woeful. Maglorie's position sense and and awareness from shocking poor for a someone playing right back. Pickering should have been marking better for the second goal. Didn't under the Yates's goal celebration to our fans. Very Strange. Our formation was being overrun and we changed it before Gallagher went off. It took him getting injury to give us this formation change to 4-4-2. So on to the second half, We witnessed a much better improved performance with spirit and passion. Where was this first half? But we started 4-4-2 with midfield of Buckley on the right, Travis and Rothwell centre and Edun on the left with Brereton and Dolan up front in a 2. Buckley's cross for Brereton was excellent and he finished it off. I thought Buckley was the Rovers best player from the starting line up and he was our biggest threat of creating chances. Brereton took his goal went and I think he has more than shown that he has the ability to be goalscorer for Rovers and going forward I would like to see him up front more. I thought Dolan was going to score with that header in the latter minutes of the game but it was good save by their keeper Moore. Edun was good yesterday and he impressed me alot. His work rate, effort and he wanted it yesterday. He came closed to scoring and he was constant threat. Would start next game for me. Travis's leadership came through yesterday to the team and he shown his captain's capabilities during the game. Was impressed. I think we deserved a point after that second half much improved performance but we can't give teams a 2 goals start before we started playing. So we got nothing final thing, The Rovers fans never stop backing their players and club yesterday during the game. Such great passion supporters we have On to the non match things. I wasn't keen on the way we enter the stadium in such a cramp and small entrance. Lot of confusion over which entrance we could enter on. I wonder what would happen if they was incident and how fans would get out in timing manner. maybe something people on the fans forum( @only2garnersand @K-Hod) could mention to the club please. Plenty on social media have similar complaints. It was great to see people who I haven't since before pandemic happened. Talking to them, having a pint with them in the pubs around Blackpool. Seeing people enjoying football and drinking in public is such a great sight after this pandemic. Wouldn't be so sure of that
  17. Brereton has 10 goals for the season and he took his goal very well yesterday. Its vital that we get him to sign a new long term deal But don't get involved in contract negotiations tho. The budget is big enough to offer them new improve contracts. Waggott and the club do the contract negotiations Depends what the financial issues are tho.
  18. really Mercer? and you have evidence of this cos this is one heck of claim? Maybe report to me to @K-Hod for this and have you done this? I changed my mind on Mowbray being sack in February 2021. I have praised Mowbray for the good start we had this season and some of the decisions he has made., We are 8th in the league and we have 16 points from 11 games I would have snap your hands off. Then you shouldn't included me in your post really Mercer Yes O'Neill has done a good job at Stoke in the 2 years and overseen a number of players changes and formation. plus cutting the wage bill there.
  19. O'Neill has done a good job there and they deserved their win. Always liked O'Neill has Northern Ireland manager. Achieved some good results there. Why mention Mowbray to me?
  20. He was never coming here in the first place. And no other European club want him either. The fact that he has signed for a club in the A-league tell us he had little interest
  21. Has he ever played at right back tho in his career tho? It was confirmed before even Waggott commented on it. I had confirmed by several good sources that it was Maja. Well no it doesn't cos we could do the same loan deal in January for Maja
  22. Not really. Only light showers and Sunshine is forecast up to kick off but around kick off and during the game could be heavy rain. Moving the best centre midfielder and our driving force from his natural position in Travis would be massive mistake. Johnson ain't going to fit to start the game imo. Maybe as sub. But reading Mowbray's comments I wouldn't be surprised if Lenihan played to be honest.
