  1. Yes our owners keep putting 20 millions pounds each season to cover the debt but that isn't sustainable is it? We cut the wage bill and get rid of the deadwood plus Armstrong sale so that's about 20 to 24 million pounds there. And we have a younger squad than before and I believe it's the second younger in the league Wasn't Obafemi transfer fees going to be couple of millions? Maja was that player who failed the medical and that's was loan to buy next season?
  2. And still people forget or want to ignore that the same Allardyce wanted out of Rovers that summer for a Middle East club?
  3. article in the Athletic and thats posted in the Championship thread back that up
  4. But you see the point I am making is most of debt is owe to them. where has Derby debt is to 3rd parties and they will want it all back. Feel for the Derby county fans and staff that might lose their jobs over that 5 mil to other clubs with be transfer fees .
  5. why drop Buckley for Johnson? Is Johnson even fit enough to start and as we witness on Saturday that Poveda didn;t look fit enough to start that game. Butterworth isn't a number 9 striker at all. He is number 10 or wide player. He isn;t physical enough for their back 3 and would be easy for them defend against him. Thats why I expect Mowbray to pick Gallagher up front with Dolan and Brereton wide in 4-3-3. and dropping Dolan is a massive mistake for me. We need his pace to run in behind and between their back 3 to caused them problems.
  6. My Apologise Roversfan99 for suggested that cos you didn't at all Healey would cost maybe 2 million pounds. But you could pay that over 3 seasons. I was surprise we paid for 500k for another left back/midfielder. I suggested players within a price range I thought we could afford. I am big fan of Woodrow but fee wise we couldn't afford it in this window Thats why I guess the Maja loan deal with permanent deal at the end of the season was very attractive to the club cos we lose the first season spend when we spend 9 to 10 millions on pounds like Brereton, Armstrong, Rothwell and Davenport.
  7. Blackburn Rovers named today in the list of those who had officials at the game between Benfica and Boavista. According to newspaper O Jogo, the Championship side were one of the clubs who watched a 3-1 win from the Eagles, who confirmed their place at the top of the league table. 8. Thanks I meant to go and watch but personal reasons meant I couldn't today
  9. well they knew the rules and if they broken the rules then they should be paid the consequences. Maybe you now realised why Rovers didnt overspend in this past window and break FFP rules.
  10. Where did Clarkson play? Who is the Accy Stanley under 23's coach?
  11. Where Venkys in talks to even buy the club at that time. Not so sure of that but Kean might not had even been at the club if the new manager had sack him. Doesn't stop the fact that summer Allardyce wanted to quit the club for a Middle East Club. Simple as Forest never made a move for Wilder from what I understand. Cooper was their 1st choice and he fits in with the New CEO Dane Murphy statistical approach, younger players approach and bringing through Young players. Wilder held talks with WBA sporting director Luke Dowling but then their owner/CEO stop it and sacked Downing and appointed Ismael from Barnsley instead
  12. Their owners borrowed money against the club and the PL TV money. What happens when they go down? Own debt is owed by Venkys
  13. He wanted out months before they took over. Don't forget that fact. Wanted to move to a club in Middle East. Wonder why?
  14. Lewandowski was lined up but Dortmund wanted him too. Also how did Venkys intervened when they didn't buy the club for 6 months late? Also how was Allardyce preparing us to kick on from Survival merchants when that summer he wanted to quit for a club in the Middle East(source is his own Autobiography) He wanted John Williams to let him go that summer. I wish we had to be honest.
  15. Seems like everything change when Butterworth missed the penalty.
  16. I think he quit next summer anyway and take some time out. I don't see another PL club wanting him so which clubs would be interested in here? Maybe replace Warnock at Boro?
  17. Sharpe and Crooke have tweeted this
  18. That's to the companies they owed money to. Then the money they owed to HRMC and tax office. Venkys owed our debt
  19. Rothwell and Travis won tackles and controlled the midfielder and Buckley stopped Grimes from playing. I like him deeper allows his more space and he doesn't have to take them on every time. His defensive position against Barnsley was excellent and protect our back 4 with Travis. Having the same 2 I front of the back 4 and keeper maybe why we look better as a team defensively and team shape aswell
  20. I am Surprised Dyche signed a new contract this season but guess he knows he won't get a better job or club. Thought Palace might have come in for him but didn't. Will be interesting season this them cos I think they one of 3 poorest teams in the league this season
  21. Cos it's been said by himself in interviews and Mowbray. Playing deeper allow his more space to dictate games like he did against Swansea. So where would you play him then?
  22. Very interesting article inside the Derby County financial mess and their debts plus can the club survive https://theathletic.com/2837909/2021/09/21/derbys-admin-bomb-what-now-for-players-rooney-and-the-club-can-it-survive?source=user-shared-article From the article
