  1. Depends who available tomorrow and With the team up pick we could play 4-3-3 anyway. Agree on the team you pick. Travis, Davenport and Rothwell in CM with Holtby from the right, Armstrong centre and Brereton from the left. I just want to win tomorrow. I am talking more long term in terms of formation but Mowbray has decide on the way forward and make sure his signings fit this formation and style.
  2. I wish we have the Brentford model of scouting and finding these gems. Its something the club should have implement years before Mowbray time. We have a good scouting network under Hughes then after he left we seen to go backwards in terms of scouting. Hopefully we are heading back to having a good scouting network and knowledge I suspect that after Mowbray leaves we might end up going to the Sporting Director and head coach structure route. With Damien Johnson taking over as head coach which i would be happy with. Others wouldn't. We have tried this director of football/sporting director thing 3 times with Shebby Singh or Paul Senior or Simon Hunt. Am I right to think JHRover that you would like Mick McCarthy or Chris Hughton type of manager ?
  3. That's fine Rigger. I enjoyed different footballing opinions. We all have our opinions on Mowbray, the future under him and who we would want take over from him. I know who I would want but some fans wouldn't be happy my opinions and some would. Look at the conversation between me and @roversfan99 where we have different opinions and we debate alot on here but I respect him alot for his opinion and hope he does for me. I enjoyed reading other posters views and opinions like JHRover or artibro or dreams of 1995 or JB even tho I might not always agree with them. That's why I enjoyed discussing Rovers and football on here.
  4. plenty of good games and a big miss when he not playing as I have said. Not going to change my mind
  5. They have found a way to allow fans to watched all games. Which I was happy about. Some aren't. each to their own
  6. I would buy one definitely and so would most of people I attend with. question is with this coronavirus around and people losing their jobs would some people feel the club was being insensitive. Question is what would they charge and how would you watch games in the meantime? Also maybe introduce a 2 seasons season ticket for some fans who are willing committed long term How can charge anyone for a product they can't attend?
  7. Maybe that where Davenport will play tomorrow but we sound short in centre midfield aswell. Travis and Evans are big missing for our team.
  8. We dont what going on with Dack whether he going to stay or willing we need to sell him or other players to meet FFP rules. EFL havent made any comment on relaxing the rules. I want to see them scrap personally. I dont mind the 4-3-3 formation as soon. We need to tweak the way we play it. If we are going to play this system long term and then we need to be playing at under 18's and under 23's levels. We have to start bringing in more and more of our own players through the system,. He started playing this way to make sure we dont get over run in midfield again like we did at Derby away. And also Downing is our playmaker in there . The top 5 teams in the league play this formation. We all knew Bennett isn't a left back but it was as 4th choice and then we didn't have to move Downing from deep playmaker role,
  9. I wont stop enjoying Rovers or football. I love the sport for 30 years and nothing is going to change that. I guess cos we dont know when the season will restart yet or when the Government will allow us back into Stadium?
  10. I'm missing attending games and so are the people I attend with. I enjoyed going to watch my team play. I was looking forward to attending the Barnsley game before the season stop in March. I have been going for over 22 years to Ewood Park as Season ticket holder.
  11. Well Mowbray rated him highly and I believe they want like him to go out on loan next season to play a full season of regular football. He is training with the 1st team so he might get on the bench shortly. I would keep him here and play him regular. Big future at the club. if we are going to playing this 4-3-3 long term then you would only playing Travis with Buckley and Downing or Rothwell. If that's the case then where does Dack play? what is the future of him considering our FFP status and we might need to raise money to meet this I would give Graham a new 12 months deal. Gives a plan B. Armstrong is our best striker at the club. Been saying this for months and almost 12 months. Gallagher is playing as wide striker in 4-3-3 system thats Mowbray wants to play
  12. We dont need 10 players this summer at all. If the 5 or 6 signings you bring any better quality then you will move up the league, plus we also need to bring through our academy players like Carter or Thompson. This also helps with FFP rules. We need 2 keepers, 2 centre backs, 1 full back and possibly 1 winger this summer. thats without losing key players. Smallwood, Samuel, Luetwiler and Hart should be release. We need Mulgrew off the wage bill. and I would sell Williams also. I would give new contracts to Downing and Graham. so our current squad with be Keepers- 2 new keepers, Hilton(who I would loan out to a team who will play him regular.) Defenders - Nyambe Lenihan new CB, new LB; Bennett Maglorie or Carter(with the other loan out), new CB, Bell Centre Midfielders - Travis Downing Davenport Evans Johnson attacking midfielders - Buckley, Holtby, Rankin-Costello Dack Chapman, possible new winger Strikers - Armstrong Gallagher Brereton Graham That's around 25 man squad for next season. fair enough. My only problem would be are clubs going to be interest in buying Dack or will they wait and see 1st.
  13. Only 12 months left on deal. If we had to lose one of these 5 key players Armstrong, Lenihan, Travis, Dack or Nyambe going forward. Then Nyambe would have to the one. Wouldnt want to lose any ideally but with FFP rules and that fact he only got 12 months left on his contract. Would he sign a new contract? Will FFP be scrap finally?
  14. I think he would perfect at Palace IMO. Both of their right back are 30 years old and only 1 year left on contract. plus it would help us FFP if we are that close if there is no relaxing of FFP rules
  15. Look at Dack's recent comments and he is well ahead of schedule and he talks about the mental side.
  16. I think he would a good signing at Palace. Hodgson would improve him What a good fee? 5 mil?
  17. Nyambe's contract is up in 12 months time so if wont sign a new contract then surely we have sell him?
  18. Poor keeper still. Would like to know what he has improved on this season
  19. after watching Preston on Saturday, they look so poor and I would say worst than us. They just signed their below average keeper Rudd as you called him to a new long term keeper. You mention Armstrong who turned down Preston to signed for us.
