  1. The PL and EFL have discussions. They seem to making progress. Let's see how German get on this week. Spanish and Italian are planning to get going around the time as our rumour return date? Did you see my post about FA saying promotion and relegation will happen? It could be year or 18 months before we have vaccine or a treatment for this virus. So do we shut football and sport for that duration? What about players wages? How do clubs pay them without TV money? Did you see EFL Chairman Parry's comments about TV companies pay 3 billions and all money went on players wages from PL? What about non playing staff like groundsman, club shop staff, etc? What about our lower league clubs who need money to survive?
  2. The PL clubs want to restart the league if they can. Nothing wrong with discussing the issue. Championship and EFL teams talking today. Supposedly coming up a plan
  3. Leadership from FA chairman Greg Clarke tell PL clubs that there will be relegation and promotion this season when the season ends with the games being played in full or season ends and they use points per games season.
  4. German football matches go ahead as planned Premier League clubs could lose 1.5 billion in tv money in the next round of tv deal. Last tv deal was 9 billion. No fans in ground until vaccine is found
  5. If the test facilities arent being used by the government or NHS then I dont see the problem. If you arent taking tests away from the government or NHS supply either then another good thing.
  6. Did you see Steve Parish on this morning The Andrew Marr Show He mention the testing point you make saying they been told the test centre is private facilities not being used by the government. But Parish was more clarity on this issue. The PL bosses and clubs chairmen need to discuss the issues tomorrow and see what come out of that meeting. Nothing wrong with sitting and discuss the issues then coming up with proper plan whatever that is.
  7. I dont see any supporters being allow in stadiums until after Christmas. Wont be September. Are you saying null and void this season and start a new season in September? You clearly havent seen Waggott's comments from yesterday?. Looking like a discount on next year season ticket
  8. Who says they will use more than 3 subs? Wasn't that idea Gordon Taylor? If they agree to play in Neutral stadiums before the season starts then no club can complain as this was agree to before the restart of the Premier League. That's why there is a meeting Monday and to discuss these issues. If League 1 and 2 clubs cant afford to restart the season as Gary Neville who would know since he is a co owner of league 2 club would know this info. That's why there is a EFL meeting on Wednesday for league 1 and 2 clubs to discuss these issues. If they decide in that meeting to end the season and not restarted then they cant be any legal challenges. You clearly didn't read or watch Gary Neville comments on the link I provided. No Roversfan99, The suits within the PL and EFL are discussing the issues with each chairman/owner. That's the point I am making. No aren't accepting that's these meetings haven't happened yet. You don't know what all the players think. Have you seen Ben Mee's comment today that players can deal with neutral venues and to be quarantine https://moandsports.com/2020/05/08/burnleys-ben-mee-says-players-can-deal-with-neutral-venues-and-quarantine/ Well Lets see how the German model works and before judging it. Have you ever look into that? have I ever said that the systems and Procedures will eliminate the 100% risk but Lets look at what German football is doing and lets see if it works here. Never said anything about the nation morale in the post you reply to but I said that most people who are football or other sports fans want sport back in some sort of capacity.
  9. I haven't said that Health should come before legal issues tho. I have always maintain that Health should come 1st. Brighton and the other 19 teams are meeting on Monday and we see what comes out of that meeting. We see what happens after that. If the PL and Championship seasons finishing I don't see clubs taking any legal actions cos the season will have finish. The clubs in League 1 and league 2 will discuss this on Wednesday the EFL board meeting but several clubs from those leagues will struggle for the financial burden. Here is Co owner of Salford City Gary Neville on this morning Sky Sports The Football Show saying that it is 99% sure they wont be any football in league 1 and 2. Plus half the players from league 1 and 2 clubs are out of contract. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/29326/11985102/league-one-and-league-two-season-return-extremely-unlikely-says-gary-neville You cant teams like Arsenal or Spurs into Europe when they aren't in the top 6 or 7. Leicester, Sheff Utd and Wolves are in the top 7. You don't know the circumstances of the 3 players at the Italian club got the virus. German clubs have return to work and have systems and procedures in place. Lets see what the PL and EFL come up with next week. Most people who are football or sports fans are wanting some sort of sport back in some capacity when it no crowd attending. The PL and government have held talks yesterday and we will what the outcome is on Monday/Tuesday next week. No I am not under appreciating the issue of player safety at all. I have family and friends who are health and social care workers so I am fully aware.
  10. but nullifying the season will other problems like legal battles, teams unhappy with that. Have you see the 2 teams in France that is unhappy with their season being finishing the league as it is and Lyon is talking about taking legal action. Lets see how the German season goes. Plus what comes out from the discussion with PL teams and Championship teams
  11. Legal issues will be considered by the PL and EFL teams if the season is null and void or finished now. Simple as. League 1 and 2 clubs seem happy to end the season now as their players have been furlough and some players contract end at this month. Premier League and Championship clubs want to finish. Burnley's Ben Mee has said they want to finish the season and even in neutral venues. You cannot based the continental qualification on last seasons as a number of those clubs aren't in the current spots for those competition. Like Spurs who are 8th currently but would qualify for Champions league but Leicester who are 3 don't qualified for champions league football. Arsenal are 9th or 10th but qualify for Europa league. If you look at Rick Parry's comments about a couple of seasons ago the PL received 3 billions pounds in TV revenue which all went on Players wages. Rovers players wages are cut till end of June so they wont be back 100% till after that. But we don't know the circumstances of those players inflected and how in Italy. But lets see how the German model goes on for a couple of weeks. If it goes well there then surely it can here
  12. We don't but if you finish the season then teams cant too complain as they have finish the season. Null it will just leave to massive legal battles
  13. I am missing the game and other sports aswell as all my family and friends are. I meant to be attend a couple of sporting events over this summer with Friends so that's sucks but understandable in the current situation.
  14. Like I said you cant just null and void due to a number of factors like Champions league places, Europa leagues places and who go down. The argeement is that 3 teams go down and 3 go up..that's agreement is between PL and EFL. Plus if teams like WBA and Leeds dont go up it wont end in the court room if it null and void. Put the teams that was in it last season? So Leicester, Sheff Utd and Wolves wont object to that aswell? Arsenal and Spurs arent in those spots.
  15. This could go on for a lifetime if no vaccine is found for many years. Most Football clubs would be gone.. My sports subscription will resume as soon as live sport is back. I miss everything. Seeing family, friends, going football with daughter and friends, watching sport, going on holidays, days outs, and socialising with family and friends in the pub. But I follow the rules and guidelines set by the government and saficise our daily life to stay safe and protect us, others and NHS.
  16. I suspect if you null and void the season, clubs will take league authorities to court..can see WBA, Leeds being just 2 of them of loads. If you null and void the season how do you sort out the Champions league and Europa leagues spots? But clubs would still generate some sort of income through tv rights and fans buying I follow subscription like season ticket. Even scraping it the season will leave clubs bringing lawyers in to sue the leagues authorities.
  17. Another good suggestion Stuart. Not in favour of shorter season as I think you could fit full season by having no League cup or FA cup for 1 season. If the season was to start in October.
  18. And what happens if no vaccine is ever found? What the Dutch going to do then? We have heard many of our football clubs rely on fans attending game. Rovers CEO say that 20% of our income. Many league 1 and 2 clubs who are businesses in reality will go bust over the next year I predict. Expect 15 clubs to go bust UEFA have already said that the season must be finish by End of July. Our Footballing authorities? Well the FA has been silent just like UEFA have. Who both havent said much. The Premier League has engaged with the clubs and try to up with workable plan. The Government has put health first before our economy by keeping the lockdown in place for seventh week in a row. The government is trying to work with Sporting authorities of different sports. Many sports are affected by this whether it Cricket or Golf or etc. 2 sports where I was set to attend during the summer..
  19. Well that's the case then we might have to wait to vaccine which could be years if we find one. What happens if we dont? Shut football completely down for ever? Do Footballers deserve a vaccine before the majority of people? Of course NHS and Social Care staff plus the elderly and most valuable people 1st.
  20. Wait and see what plans are unveil first. Stop rushing and wait and see what plans and structure are put in place. Still a month before the rumour start date.
