  1. Did he say it was pulled the club owners cos I'm sure on a different podcast/interview he said it was Mowbray and Waggott over budget reasons cos we needed defensive signings first. But re-signing Downing for another season was a waste on money.
  2. Firstly thankyou for the detailed reply Mike and welcome the response. Why was the Armstrong transfer fee 5 million short and based on what? Didn't we received 5 mil for Raya? Agreed on Cairney transfers but not sure we should have got more than their fees for Hanley and Duffy. Well we only getting less than market value for Nyambe and Rothwell due to Contracts length and I don't like it anymore than anyone else but Rothwell has big clubs chasing him so might less sense for him to sign a new contract here. I expect Brereton will be sold in the summer for around 15 million and possible Kaminski for around 4 to 5 million pounds Agree on Johnson point. I would rather have a young, talent squad than a old experience squad. Hoping John Park, the head of recruitment is out there scouting and recommend players. We have a recruitment department so lets hope that is on with finding January transfer targets and looking at Summer transfers transfers. That would required a CEO with expertise but we should be bringing in experience Head of football operations or director of football who would be in charge of these sort of things. I agree that the club should be much better astute in terms of lower ticket prices including Season tickets prices and match day tickets prices. I think ST should be £250 pounds for all areas of the ground apart from Jack Walker upper tier which I would price at £300. Match day prices would be £15 for most games and I would be offering the Preston game for £15 pounds for all areas of Ewood Park in December. The kiosks food and drink is poor and prices are ridiculous now and I refuse to pay it . The food should be much better and we should be offering much more vary types of food like Chips and curry or Slice of pizza. On the club shop, the clubs shirts/kits are over priced and should be available for £30 to 35 pounds and offering a 4xl size aswell. Plus we should be offering Rovers non kit shirts like Dolan shirt or Travis shirt. Both are very popular within the fan base. We need and should be more engage in schools, local kids clubs, etc and we should be offering free shirts, scarfs, books, etc. Plus have open days which they can meet the players and have interaction with them. Totally agreed on Brereton point and I believe it been raised with Fans forum meeting recently. Rovers could employed an external marketing company who has expertise in South America. They are out there and I know one which has the required expertise there. I believe Chilean fans can buy Rovers passes to stream Rovers games fair enough, But I would say we need more sponsorship from local, nation and worldwide companies. Why hasn't Venkys used their contacts within India to find us any sponsor from the Asia market. agreed on the second point Mike. appointing a better CEO who is more accessible to the fans and has been a success at another football club. I did suggested Dane Murphy to replace Waggott as CEO in the summer. He was very successful at Barnsley. Plus employ experience Marketing, communications, sales people. I agree the club should be run much better run and we should be looking to expand our fanbase
  3. I even posted on facebook that it was time to sack him now as we need a new manager with fresh ideas, tactical aware, sort the defence out and motivate the team more. I expected a win against Coventry even tho they were 4th in the league.
  4. Thats where you are wrong tho Matty, I would leave people to make their own decisions on filming or take pictures as its a personal choice.
  5. How could the club make a profit at this level when we have such a high wage bill compare to Turnover Very correct and putting the club into administration is pointless as their owed the vast majority of the debt. Mowbray's tactics and formation wasn't correct and we should gone Positive in 4-3-3 formation and attack them. But Mowbray instead went negative and try to get point. Feel very sorry for Rovers fans who travelled all the way for such a negative performance
  6. I see Owen Dale scored one and assist 2 in the Blackpool 3 2 win against Reading
  7. But that's from your opinion.
  8. Facebook/twitter is the same tbh. Majority want a change. Some people ask who but most don't disagree with the names. One or two comment they don't want long ball football. That's about it. Yes I think the same. The second half performance against Coventry was awful and we weren't good enough against QPR.
  9. It's was more than one posters if you look back properly. I wouldn't expect him to do anything at fans meeting
  10. Yes people want personal memories or being there and can watched them when they want from their own view
  11. Rovers owners have to make a managerial change asap. We need a new direction under a new manager/head coach with fresh ideas, tactical aware and able to tighten up our defence. Some good choices out there From Bruce interview in the Telegraph says he is probably to retire from football after the abuse he and his family have suffered there. Tho even their bets player Saint Maximin has said some brilliant comments about him and his management of him https://twitter.com/asaintmaximin/status/1450793089971494914?s=20 I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if they turned this weekend if we don't perform against Reading. I always thought he was close to walking once before when we won 3-2 against Barnsley but his manner on the touchline was like a man ready to walk. It was Dack and Rothwell who saved him that day Not sure him and Waggott are even close anymore or mates anymore.
  12. Well that's your opinion but given our history, stadium, Senior training ground and Academy facilities we could attract them.
  13. Perfectly calm and chill out thanks Mercer. Buts it time for a change and I would sack him tomorrow. Appoint Damien Johnson as Caretaker manager for Saturday game. Then appoint a new manager after that game. Fair enough. They are other options out there like Chris Wilder, Mark Robins, Neil Critchley, Ryan Lowe(Plymouth), Alex Neil, Neil Harris. We need fresh new ideas, good tactician, modern day coaching, organised defence to keep clean sheets and motivator
  14. Go and get Gareth Ainsworth Rovers and let replace Mowbray. We need a manager with fresh ideas, new tactical approach and get us keeping clean sheets
  15. We have to increase the turnover and get more fans back inside the stadium and increase the sponsorship. We don't the ins and outs of the contract offer to Lenihan do we. or what the contract is wage wise or bonus wise
  16. Bournemouth remain top and unbeaten for the season under Scott Parker after beaten Stoke 1 nil. Cooper has produced the goods at Forest in his first 5 games. 4 wins and 1 draw. Wish we had appointed him here
  17. Rovers overall deserved from nothing from that game. created nothing of note second half and to be honest not much to add to this. Disappointed second half performance. is that the best insult you got Duncan. tbh, All ifs, buts and maybes. Scoring goals isn't the problem but conceded and not keeping clean sheets
  18. Even first half. Both teams haven't over attack so far. Butterworth and Pickering were best players 1st half 3-5-2. See image below
  19. come on Rovers lets get a win tonight
  20. We are only 5 loans in the match day squad. We can replace these players with similar quality players but for we need a new manager who can get them more consistence from them, fresh ideas and is tactical awareness. Someone like Gareth Ainsworth would be ideal for me, John Park running the recruitment side and finding these quality players on low fees, frees and loans
  21. Sevilla are reporting interested in Brereton and from what was reported in the summer that Kaminski had interested in from European clubs
  22. very surprised by the team. Delighted Butterworth has got a chance. Reckon we get a point from this game. glad to see you back to normal form by keep mentioning even tho this isn't the problem this season. We have scored goals all season. Its more about conceded goals and clean sheets
  23. I have never said that the players are the villains of the piece and In fact its a job to them and they have only have small career so they want to earn the most they can and achieved as much as they can Give our new summer signings until the start of January then judge then. This summer budget was must small and tight then next year budget could be or should be. Rothwell is looking like he joining Rangers on pre contract. Yes I do think we get good/decent replacements for Lenihan and Nyambe if they want to leave and not sign new contracts. Sell them in January for fees and use that money for new signings. I also expect Brereton and Kaminski will leave this coming summer aswell. Expect Brereton will move to PL or Spanish club for 15 to 20 million and around 3 or 4 million for Kaminski. So we will be able to spend some of that money aswell. FFP is there and we must be compliance with them. Very far fetched is that sort of statement well firstly, its not obsession but reality of the footballing world and clubs have to meet their FFP requirements. You can want to keep ignoring it and thats its gets nowhere. Well firstly you comments that we are under extreme FFP restrictions is a person blowing something out of the water. Given its was minimal wages on those players and its was 4 weeks its hardly much iis it
  24. Rangers close on Rothwell https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1100360421?-11198:839
