  1. Guys, I was talking about Zeefuik being fit enough to play straight away which was Roversfan99 last point. Yes he has to earned his place just like everyone in the team. Never said otherwise. Also is Nyambe going to fit enough to this weekend after his slight hamstring injury? Anyone heard owt?
  2. Why wouldn't Zeefuik given that he played in the last games for Hertha Berlin before their winter break?
  3. But VAR never gave that as the reason for the goal being disallowed tho. They wanted Ref on the pitch to decide whether it was foul or not on Cavani otherwise the goal would have stood
  4. He is waiting for work permit so it will done when they issue it
  5. Thanks for posting the links to both. Don't have a clue who either are. But both are under 21 years old
  6. They were no.offside given or decision on that player. That's the point. It was VAR getting involved for no reason and finds reason not to give it. Over 3 and half minutes VAR took last night. Unacceptable
  7. I didn't it was a foul in the first place. Offside wasn't given VAR but on the pitch ref was asked to look at the foul. Ref on the pitch had a clear view of the foul and didn't get it. It wasn't a obvious mistake.
  8. I think in my opinion the 3 main priorities are right wing back, centre midfielder and attacker. We don't play with proper strikers unless we change formations or how we play our strikers.
  9. Never a foul. Plus the ref was looking straight at the Incident and didn't give a foul. The timing is ridiculous. The standard of refs in the Championship is shocking and no improvement
  10. I rather the on the field ref to make a decision. I can accept refs making mistakes if they learned from them. Also the ref has watched the Ramsey Cavani incident and not give a foul. So why VAR get involved for Plus it's took over 3 minutes to make a decision. Why?
  11. aren't they UEFA rules about 3pm blackout?
  12. VAR taking ages again to make a decision. Would still scrap it
  13. Don't know why you are surprised given that Wales and Scotland have had different rules for ages. Made an exception? Just look at Wales government reaction to Chester FC having fans in their stadium which is on the border of England and Wales. https://www.itv.com/news/granada/2022-01-10/football-club-that-straddles-border-warned-over-covid-rule-breaks
  14. He has been coaching in India and Bangladesh recently. Plus a few spells in the lower leagues. Good GK coach I'm sure mercer you are more than capable of finding them yourself We do have alot of keepers on the books. Jordan Eastham looks a very good prospect aswell as Joe Hilton. Plus the Greek guy who seems have decent career before here.
  15. TBH, I'm undecided. I like the fact he has pace and can press from the him. But I would like to see a permanent attacker signing tho in January and not a loan. Plus I don't know the finances involved and whether it would be worth it overall. I do think they is a good player in there just feel that he has made some poor moves in his career already and needs to play for a manager/head coach that with suit his game. Who knows but are a couple of extra signings needed. IMO no. Its all if's buts and maybe's tbh. Covid numbers are going down and the self isolation period is likely to be cut to 5 days shortly. meaning less of an impact.
  16. correct he is there as senior Academy goalkeeper coach there (7) Bobby Mimms | LinkedIn
  17. shocking behaviour by some of our fans is that. I avoid the concourse at half time or even before the game. Far too crowd for me and I was still home at 6.30pm after parking on the away car park and waited until most of the cars had gone before setting of home.
  18. sadly Kean has nothing to do with this. Hick and Ramprakash batting technique werent anything surprise and still have massive issues. Hick was fantastic against Fast medium pacers and flat wickets but awful when it started swinging or pitch had some pace and bounce in it. There is no perfect batting style or technique. Look at Some of the best players in the last 25 years like Ricky Pointing or Alistair Cook or Brian Lara or Sachin Tendulkar or Jacques Kallis. None of them had the perfect batting technique but all produce plenty of runs for the national team. That's it Jim bring in overseas coach. Why not appoint people like Mike Atherton, Alec Stewart who know test Cricket and county game. Exactly Gav. Another massive overreaction again by Jim which is no surprise is it. Root is one of England's greatest Batsman, Anderson is the best England bowler as his wicket column says. Stokes is the best all rounder since Botham and Broad is world class bowler. If I have to pick England best 11 since I started watching England in 1994/1995. My team would be this :- Atherton, Cook, Vaughan(C), Root, Stewart(wk), Stokes, Flintoff, Swann, Gough, Broad, Anderson. Thorpe, Pietersen, Strauss all unlucky to miss out.
  19. Swansea set to sign former Rovers keeper who is now at MK Dons Andrew Fisher MK Dons confirm Fisher transfer fee agreed | Planet Swans
  20. Rovers interested in Blackpool's Josh Bowler Promotion hopefuls Fulham, Blackburn enter battle for standout Championship star Josh Bowler (teamtalk.com) Where has this rumour come from?
  21. Yes I would ok with him cos everyone has based their opinion on the Wigan away game and forget that he played his part in keeping 3 clean sheets in the two and half games he played i. I am reading your comments and arguments thanks. We got to second in the league with this smaller squad so I feel that 3 signings is about right. in this transfer window. Carter, Butterworth, Pears, Davenport and Dolan have all played their part in getting us second in the league over 22 other teams. Also got to take in consideration upsetting the squad morale and team spirit. Plus you are expect 4 or 5 signings to settle in quickly, be fit enough and have an impact on our season. You were saying that in the summer about who would scored the goals at Rovers this season and some of us told you that the team would step up and perform. and guess what they have. If Mowbray wants to sign Burke then clearly he will have impact for us and has a plan how he would use him. Have owners increase the budget after the Armstrong sale?
