We need a new number 1 keeper who can command the box, communicate, good reflexes and good distribution of the ball. -

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
chaddyrovers replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
agreed with @arbitro comments. People need to give him a chance just like they did with JDT, Mowbray and Eustace. Its been 2 games FFS and some of the comments on here are truly embarrassing yet again. Judge Ismael on his spell here and not at fucking Barnsley. far too people judge people on other people opinions. -

Pears was weak as hell and as you said bottled it. You expected much better from him now, given his experience and knowledge of this league. Not good enough -

What a shambles of performance to be honest, Before the game started and seeing the team, I expect us to fly out of the blocks, attack them and press them, but we got a very different start. The start to the game was nothing more than shit show and how can our centre backs and Pears not deal with such a simple ball into the box and being bullied by Yates and Harkness is utter pathetic. Pears flapping again and tbh, I have had enough of it now and it got to stop. The number 1 priority this summer is new number 1 keeper who can command the box, good reflexes, communicate and quickly distribution the ball. Second goal similar. After Karbgo went off and we changed shape and we got back into the game and we created 2 very good chances and Ohashi should have scored and Ohashi created Gueye's chance and he took it well. If we had another 10-15 mins to this half I think we would have scored half, You can tell after Gueye scored the Derby defence was shaking. Second half, I expect us to put more crosses into the box and caused them more problems but we didn't. We didn't look to get into Gueye more but didn't, apart from Ohashi chance, we created very little, Our wing backs Brittain and Ribeiro far too deep second half and Brittain lack confidence to take his man on and put the ball into the box. Apart from Travis and Gueye plus Ohashi, no one else get more than 4/5 I expect much better today and I witness players lacking passion, desire, confidence. I really hope they are hurting after that performance cos I am for sure. Ismael needs to change more than he has done whether its 3 at back or change personnel but it need to happen now. The fans today were magnificent and never stop backing their job, Derby fans are very arrogant and cocky. Derby stewards very good and good banter. I am hoping for a much better result and performance on Wednesday night. I would make a few changes for this game and I discuss further in the Stoke match thread. -

Quick Summary from me, before a bigger report later when back. Very poor performance. Created very little apart 2 chances which Gueye took one and Ohashi in the first half. Second half, not good enough, created little, Wing backs too deep, Not using Gueye enough. Poor. For their goals, they bullied us and Pears flapping again hurt us. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Cost us the game. Need to be much better on Wednesday at Stoke. More in depth report later. -

The clubs wanted more revenue from the TV rights, only way it was ever achievable was more games on TV, Fairly logical business. Dazn sports want to put every game on TV. I'm sure they were other interested from TV. Most pubs will have different sports and will both football games. People who supports that team and maybe fans who team play them next. Or someone like myself who will watch like Blackpool or Stanley cos they are mates team or my local club. No I just dont like Format and structure of the European competitions hence why I don't watch them anymore. No I don't have TNT sports cos cost wise it not worth for the coverage of Sports they actually have. Yes I have Sky Sports cos for the football but also for cricket, F1 and Darts. I take it you paid for both Sky Sports and TNT Sports? -

Games in the EFL have always played on Friday night. Going back to when we get promotion under Souness from this league to championship. EFL clubs wanted more revenue from TV rights and required more games available for coverage. Simple business. I am inconvenience myself by games during the week given I work nights but I accepted years ago, that's how football is going and football is a 7 day a week sport nowadays not just a Saturday 3pm kick off sport. Just imagine if instead of 7 games on Saturday dinner time they spend it around the weekend with games at 8pm on Saturday night or 7pm on Sunday, just imagine the outrage at that. -

why are bringing PL games in the conversation? not everyone follow the PL. Also the PL is global brand and yes we do have the best league in the world whether you believe it or not and why its has global audience whether its Japan or Australia or USA or Canada or Dubai if we are doing that why are moving games to Europa league or conference league games on Thursday? or does that matter cos you loved UEFA tournaments bollocks. -

Look at wording of my post and its show with the above comment you haven't read properly and just jump in head first. always am. I'm going so lets hope I can be good luck for the team are you leading the chant tomorrow then at Pride Park? -
The first January 2023, we had Undav in for talks who I believe would be the missing link between promotion and not/playoffs place. He decided not to come but we had no back up plan as GB admitted in his post transfer window update. in January 2024, we were 17th in the league and the start of the window and badly out of form, team morale not good and head coach who didn't want to be able and was lining up the Swedish national team job.

No I have accept that we are moving forward and times are moving away from traditional 3pm kick offs. I started following Rovers in 1991/2 season and the year after the PL started and we witness live football games on Sky and more than 30 years since we see football grow and the English football brand around the league where we have the best league in the world. We seen in La Liga where the games are spread over 4 days where its 1 game on Friday and Monday, 4 games on Saturday and Sunday for the TV coverage. We have been given plenty of notice and I'm not bothered myself about kick off cos it not an issue for me at all So maybe it such a problem then stop watching live TV games and take a stand but you won't will you. or maybe we need move the modern times The Premier League TV deal is very different to the EFL and shouldn't be compare. The PL TV rights are sold off in different blocks and different time slots. Plus I don't see why you are bringing them into this discussed. Its been like that for years and it works. Plus its a global brand and appeals to range of overseas market. We have the best top league in the worlld So back to the EFL rights, the games are mainly in 3 blocks for weekends games with Friday night game, Saturday dinner time and the Sunday dinner/Monday night. isn't 4 weeks notice decided well in advance? -

I think during the back end of January transfer window 2024, I think you witness Waggott and Pasha lose faith in JDT and GB, and witness them line up Eustace to take over. -

Didn't GB say they were in talks with Dolan and he been offered a new deal FFP is a thing in the football, why do you think Boro sold Latte last window. Rovers have make enough sales and received enough income to past this away for at least 2-4 seasons. finally asked questions, scrutinise, criticise and blame to who? meetings with Rovers management? or just on social media. We don't hear from Waggott or Pasha or even Gestede anymore. I'm surprised Gestede hasn't done a Transfer window interview or even an interview on why Ismael was picked as the head coach. Other than meetings from Fans Forum and WATR that it from them I'm waiting to renew now
