But the Armstrong fee has come into the club and 40% of gone to Newcastle so thats around 6 million pounds gone. But as Phili's comments has pointed out Waggott, Mowbray and Venus come up with the plan each season and Venkys/Pasha sign it off. So surely its Waggott and Mowbray fault not the owners? But if we overspend this summer it will affect next season budget and we could be break FFP rules next season. So it could be 12 months of careful planning this season of not over spending following by higher transfer spending next season hopefully under a new manager/footballing structure. Yes I agree with you I would like us to buy 3 or 4 players this summer but not if its effects us next season FFP wise and Embargo wise. I didn't see that comment until after I replied to previous post of yours. We knew if we wasn't going up that Armstrong would move on so surely last January we had players in mind who we could sign as replacements but he choose not to buy a replacement before we sold Armstrong this summer. that would have given the new striker 6 months head start. Maybe even a foreign striker and allow 6 months to settle into the area and club but Mowbray refuse/didn't.

Well we have to see over the coming seasons but a club of Rovers size cannot keep running at wage to turnover it has over the past seasons can it? So we need a proper short term, medium and long term plan from the footballing people at the club I hope we can invest a few million pounds into a permanent striker signing myself but we have to meet these daft FFP rules(which I never been in favour from moment one as they favour bigger clubs with bigger budgets.) Can't blame Venkys for the FFP rules. Surely we have to work in whatever market we have? We need 4 or 5 signings before the deadline including a permanent striker, wide man, left back and centre back. These players like Poveda and Clarkson clearly have their ability and talent otherwise they wouldn't be Leeds United and Liverpool would they? Who are these quality freebies out there? Can you give me an example of a striker who has the quality we want? Would you want Connor Wickham here? Surely there is a reason why they are still unattached at this stage of the season? More experience PL players who are available are on big wages. What is Ben Davies wages or Matt Clarke wages? spending more money on these expensive wages would mean less signings? Also can you expect why it unnecessarily strict budget considering the last 3 years financial backing Mowbray has received in terms of transfers fees and wages? Maybe if Mowbray has been better in the transfer market and use the money more wisely in the first 2 seasons and maybe we wouldn't be in this situation.

After the 3 game unbeaten and after beating Forest Rovers/Waggott should have dropped the price of the WBA game to 15 pounds for Rovers fans and refund any fan who paid the 32 pounds price before the game

WBA big monsters players will suit this league and over power teams but will it work in the PL? Doubtful Depends how bad the injury is too Kharda. If the all the Armstrong money has had to go on meeting the FFP rules then just been open and honest to the fans and explained this is the case. But Mowbray and Waggott won't. why is the under 24 rule counter productive? I like that we have a young squad with a few experience players like Kaminski, Lenihan, Ayala, Travis. i do feel its the right way for us to go with the current situation we have But we need to add 4 or 5 quality signings before the deadline.

Thanks for sharing AAK. Look a good tricky player and has talent. Well there is a number of strikers we could get permanent for the right fee who fit into the under 23 age bracket. Mowbray stop with the bloody excuses and get on with signing one. You should have had this sorted by now and within days of AA sale. But we need a striker in.. He would fit this supposedly recruitment of not signing players over the aged 24 now. But if this is the supposedly transfer policy now why have been linked with Healey through the Rich Sharpe of the LT? Lets see what the next 8 days bring now I don;t see us signing 2 wingers on loan this window, so its one of the winger but not.

Lets hope we are on the way with a permanent striker signing whoever that is whether its a foreign striker or a striker from Championship or League 1 club but someone who can score goals and bring us the quality we need to our attacking play

Well James Garner has signed for them today but Hughton has been saying for weeks he needs signings in. If they did sack him I am sure their new CEO(Former Barnsley CEO) would have different options open to them.

Test Cricket will always be the most popular format of cricket in the UK for years to come. Don't watch any of the hundred at all. So can't comment on it. But the ECB need to get the scheduling of all the competitions correct and that include some 4 day county championship matches before and during test series. With the next test match at Headingly starting on Wednesday, it will be interesting what the team is from the squad picked. Matty Longstaff is centre midfielder who can get box to box. I'm thinking that before but wonder if its a British player playing overseas currently who we are signing seems to be off to Stoke City on loan but has been reported that around half of championship clubs have been after him. His dad Rory Delap is on the staff at Stoke as first team coach

Different players have different reasons. Football has moved on from just 1 to 11 number. as far as Dyche is concerned lets see how he does this season with lack of signings again and will he take them down? But despite a number of PL jobs being available this summer no club move for him. Is Burnley going to be the best club he can get. Maybe he is too discipline for a bigger club with players who don't want to be micro managed at every opportunity.

Hibs striker Nisbet is not playing for Hibs so could be leaving. Celtic seems interested in him
