  1. Buckley should be starting every game now in centre midfield now But hes not a striker or false 9 tho. Play in centre midfield
  2. Told you Buckley would play false 9 role. Why are you surprise? Why are you interest in Journalists questioning him? Hopefully today game will be his last. I see Brereton is more of a wide player in a front 3. That's where his best performances have come from. McBride should be in the squad base on form
  3. I guess it will be Buckley has false 9 with Brereton left and Dolan right. Why not call up Burns or McBride if Armstrong wasnt fit and why we need 4 midfielders on bench I dont know. 3 should be enough in more circumstances.
  4. Why would I go 2 up front against them and get over run in midfield. We need to be solid defensively and not allow their midfielders time and space. Play on the counter attack
  5. Looks at how and when he scores goals like crossing into the box. Him and Armstrong as front 2. Would I sign Gallagher in the 1st place? No I wouldnt. Dack has scored a couple of goals since returning from his 1 st injury. Now he is out for at least 12 months now. Hopefully Mowbray will be gone soon and at least by end of the season, so we can rebuild this squad under a new manager/head coach
  6. Kaminski JRC Lenihan Harwood-Bellis Douglas Evans Dolan Buckley Holtby Brereton Armstrong
  7. My opinion Matty. If I knew something I would say according this source, this is what I heard or been told. It was mention that Pasha is back in the Brockhall thread last week
  8. Pickford, Justin, Grealish and Maddison are all injured. Surprise Keane not given they are 6 centre backs in the squad
  9. Firstly never said 15 to 20 goals did I? Maybe if we played with front 2 in 4-4-2 we might create some chances. Instead of being 3rd in possession stats overall. At least Mowbray has achieved top 6 at something this season. Let's have a party this great achievement 😂 We dont create chances tho on a regular basis. Our final pass or cross is appalling under Mowbray. Not good enough Did he? At Birmingham City he played in a long ball team that created few chances under Steve Cotterill from what I read at the time. Depends how you play him within your side. If you are playing 1 up front then no. 2 up front? Maybe. Gives the new guy time to spend putting his tactics, ideas, etc over to the players. Its doesnt frustrate me at all. Venkys will know everything what is going on at the club. Pasha is over
  10. I hoping we wont used them again and try a different manager not from the usual advisors
  11. Its was Mowbray who said he was building a squad for the top 6 and this season we would challenge for it. He has been backed every season with money for signings either in transfer fees and wages. he has been backed financially by the owners. On Dolan, I would played him as a striker based on form and how well he done there in recent games. Yet again, no one is overhyping Dolan at all. Its yourself being very over critical of a player in his professional season at the age 17/18 years old. I couldn't give a monkey which club Dolan signed from to be frank. His performances this season have warrant a new contract and he should be in the first team next season and probably from the right wide in either 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 formation It should be the owners be giving Mowbray the sack and bringing in a new football management structure and replacing Waggott aswell.
  12. Based on his recent performances of him playing there. Long term he will should playing wide role. Did you see Gallagher's spell at Birmingham? how was he played? How many chances a game did they created under Cotterill? His loan Spell isn't being overhyped by anyone. Yet again you are making comments up again cos I have said no one in my post that Gallagher or Brereton could be profilic goalscorers here like Armstrong. For Gallagher, if he played as striker for a season in front 2 he would score to 10 to 15 goals. On Brereton since you brought him into this conversation would score around 10 goals a season from a wide role if he stayed fit for full season which for me would be acceptable for me. He isn't a number 9 striker who lead the line. On last seasons, How many chances did we really created for Gallagher when he played up front then? Do you have the figures please? if so, please share them for the messageboard. Thanks in advance. Hopefully the search for a new manager/head coach has been done and we have someone line up to replace Mowbray after the Norwich game. Its was Mowbray who said he build a top 6 squad and we would be challenging for the top 6. We havent got close to the top 6 after 6 transfer windows. We need a change under Mowbray cos we wont get top 6 under him
  13. Cowley's contract at Pompey is only till the end of the season I believe then they will have discussions about a new contract if things go well. I think Charlton have made a good appointment in Adkins. Knows the league
  14. Yes Mercer did keep asking the same questions. I kept my promise that when I change my mind I posted detail post why I change my mind and who I put on my shortlist. And no I didnt get hot under the collar at all.
  15. What flak? Everyone has a different opinion and people respect each other opinions then no problem
  16. That's where I disagree that he wasn't good when he was here during his loan spell. Since Signing here Mowbray hasnt used him properly since joining here. He hasnt used him up front enough
  17. You are correct that Mowbray has ruined Gallagher by playing him wide regularly and not playing him in his proper position. I think he would 10 to 15 goals if he played in proper position.
  18. Signing Downing for this season was a waste and mistake. We dont need 4 centre midfielders on bench. 2 or 3 is enough.so why not give Burns or McBride a chance from bench.
  19. Think you wrong here. When he has played up front whether under Coyle or Mowbray he has scored goals like his goals against Preston or Stoke. Give him a proper run up front and he will score IMO. If Armstrong isnt going to play then play Gallagher up front or even try both as front 2 for the rest of the season. Yet again for me, you are way over critical of him when it's the manager fault and responsibility for playing him out of position in most games
  20. The club has option to renewal their contracts so the players can't reject it. I do think he is miles better than Rankin Costello at all. Both have different attributes to their games. For me, I would keep Rothwell and renew his contract. Armstrong wont fit after missing a series of games. No one has said Dolan is the answer but he is raw talent that needs developing and pursuing. He isnt a striker but better on the right wing. Personally you are way over critical of him in his 1st professional season and he is 17/18 years old. Doesn't say for Mowbray last 3 years planning and signings then
  21. Nyambe and Rothwell have 12 months club option extension in their contracts. Was surprised Armstrong played tonight. I think Dolan has done a good job up front Why didnt we put McBride or Burns on bench instead of Bennett or Nyambe?
  22. Gallagher would score goals if he plays up front and we created chances and crosses for him?
  23. What a boring game. Tempo slow and boring. No Plan B. Did Buckley really play as a false 9 role? What a waste of a talent. Why not play Gallagher We are on the highway to nowhere under Mowbray. We need a new manager/head coach with new director and plan asap
  24. Gallagher was deffo his signing. Mowbray always wanted Gallagher to come back to Rovers. Rovers have scouting Pickering for 2 years according to local.media reports. Kaminski was scouted by our European scouting network for months. Mowbray wanted Gladwim and Bell before we got them. We wanted Rothwell during our league 1 season. Also question @JHRover, if they aren't Mowbray's signings then who.is signing them?
  25. Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Harwood-Bellis Douglas Buckley Trybull Elliott Rothwell Brereton Dolan
