With alot of players out of contract and must I would let go anyway. You dont need to write off the summer transfer window. Look at Reading as an example who appointed their head coach a week before the season started. A new footballing management in place will already have ideas of who they want and how to play. Pre season can be change with overseas trips and matches looking unlikely to the virus anyway
-
Sweeping changes would be welcome. A new CEO to replace Waggott is a must. Plus changes to football side whether its bringing in manager like Wilder or Hughes, or bringing in sporting director with head coach structure. But we need a plan of how we are going to get promote within 2 years. Back the new guys to achieve it financially. Getting back to PL is achievable under a new guy. It isnt under Mowbray sadly. Venkys have backed Mowbray financially but we are no better off then 2 years ago positional in the league. So he must carry the can and be sack. He has tried his best but not good enough to achieve it
-
Not if we have a manager and structure to come in.

I never thought those 2 had any real problems over the manager. Pasha is on twitter so I sent him the Wilder article saying he is open to any managerial jobs this morning
-
Well I hope that they recommend sacking Waggott and Mowbray during the next week. Wilder is available and they should be opening talks with him now. Hes is open to managerial offers so what are waiting for. We can hire a company to find a proper experience CEO to run the club
-
Thanks @J*Bfor all the info. Do Babu and Pasha have the power to remove Waggott or Mowbray from their Rovers positions without Balaji approvement? Is Mrs D or Mr D or Venky Rao have any major interest apart from shareholders in Rovers?
-
Most clubs transfers will be low transfer fees, free transfers and strikers. But if we do sale Armstrong then its important we use that money to improve the entire squad and not just use that money on 1 or 2 players

Sheffield United are targeting Jokanovic and Swansea's head coach Steve Cooper to replace Chris Wilder. They look like a director of football/head coach will be brought in there. Jokanovic's contract is up in the summer at the club in Qatar Supposedly his wages are 2 million pounds a season. Would Rovers pay that for a manager/head coach? -
If we bring in a new manager/head coach now or at the end of the season it gives that new guy a chance to build his own squad from day one. An exciting prospect for the new guy

Thanks for reply. How has Bayliss been used since signing there and why did the club signed him if Neil didn't want him. You could have bought a striker with that money which you have lacked during his spell there -

But that's how we played today so he wouldnt play then. That's was years ago and you living in the past on Rhodes. He has scored that amount since leaving here over 5 years ago. -

Cos I think you are being over critical of him considering 14 months ago he was playing under 23's football. Think Mowbray should be already monitoring him considering the injuries he had so far. Trying to pass the buck again I would play either Rothwell or Dolan if you want to 4-4-2. Think Rankin Costello has played very well at right back so not sure I would move him from there for Nyambe Why? -

He is very different striker to the one we had back then. He is 31/32 years old, So you arent going to play up front are you? You keep living in the past and not the present regarding Rhodes -
Do you know his background of Suhail Pasha and why Venkys trust him?

Very harsh again on Rankin-Costello IMO So how are you playing? 4-4-2? Today result whilst a good point against the League leaders doesn't change my opinion that we need a change of manager if we are to get promote or challenge for promotion. If Rovers are thinking of making a change of manager then hopefully we are in discuss with that manager and this is the right time now to do that with no games for 13 days and International break. Similar to what we did when we sacked Bowyer after Brentford home game on Monday night and Appointed Lambert a week later but already held discussions with him before appointing him. -

Some Managers could have used that entire money for squad rebuild not just 2 players. He wanted Luke Freeman before Brereton but it didn't happened supposedly cos the QPR manager McClaren threaten to walk out if he was sold. When we got promoted from League 1 he should have signed a proper centre back like Jake Cooper, John Egan, Konsa or Matt Clarke but he didnt. He went cheap option and went for Rodwell -

Would you offer Evans a new contract? On Rankin-Costello's durability, he is coming back from a injury that kept him for while. Surely its better to be safe than sorry. He is still young and his body is growing. One thing is must and we must keep him here long term. Improving as right back game by game. Gallagher will score goals when we put in good quality balls into the box. Just imagine if he played Gallagher and Armstrong has a front 2 we might score more goals. If Armstrong does leave for Brighton or Fulham then we need at least 1 probably 2 strikers. -

Well no it isn't irrelevant considering the wages he is still on around 40k from what I believe. You aren't going to be offering that sort of wage to squad player. No he wouldn't walk to into team cos the team played and pick up a point. Rhodes need to play in a front 2 for me. We dont play that way. -
When will Mowbray be sacked?
chaddyrovers replied to Hoochie Bloochie Mama's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Today's result which is a good point should play no part if deciding Mowbray's future at the club. The main questions remaining are 1. Is Mowbray good enough to get us promote next season? 2. Why haven't we challenge for the top 6 this season after he was backed financially in terms of wages, transfer fees and being allow 3 seasons to build his squad? 3. Why has Mowbray sign players that don't fit the tactics and the way he wants to play?
