Based on his recent performances of him playing there. Long term he will should playing wide role. Did you see Gallagher's spell at Birmingham? how was he played? How many chances a game did they created under Cotterill? His loan Spell isn't being overhyped by anyone. Yet again you are making comments up again cos I have said no one in my post that Gallagher or Brereton could be profilic goalscorers here like Armstrong. For Gallagher, if he played as striker for a season in front 2 he would score to 10 to 15 goals. On Brereton since you brought him into this conversation would score around 10 goals a season from a wide role if he stayed fit for full season which for me would be acceptable for me. He isn't a number 9 striker who lead the line. On last seasons, How many chances did we really created for Gallagher when he played up front then? Do you have the figures please? if so, please share them for the messageboard. Thanks in advance. Hopefully the search for a new manager/head coach has been done and we have someone line up to replace Mowbray after the Norwich game. Its was Mowbray who said he build a top 6 squad and we would be challenging for the top 6. We havent got close to the top 6 after 6 transfer windows. We need a change under Mowbray cos we wont get top 6 under him

Cowley's contract at Pompey is only till the end of the season I believe then they will have discussions about a new contract if things go well. I think Charlton have made a good appointment in Adkins. Knows the league -

What flak? Everyone has a different opinion and people respect each other opinions then no problem -
That's where I disagree that he wasn't good when he was here during his loan spell. Since Signing here Mowbray hasnt used him properly since joining here. He hasnt used him up front enough
-
You are correct that Mowbray has ruined Gallagher by playing him wide regularly and not playing him in his proper position. I think he would 10 to 15 goals if he played in proper position.

Signing Downing for this season was a waste and mistake. We dont need 4 centre midfielders on bench. 2 or 3 is enough.so why not give Burns or McBride a chance from bench. -
Think you wrong here. When he has played up front whether under Coyle or Mowbray he has scored goals like his goals against Preston or Stoke. Give him a proper run up front and he will score IMO. If Armstrong isnt going to play then play Gallagher up front or even try both as front 2 for the rest of the season. Yet again for me, you are way over critical of him when it's the manager fault and responsibility for playing him out of position in most games

The club has option to renewal their contracts so the players can't reject it. I do think he is miles better than Rankin Costello at all. Both have different attributes to their games. For me, I would keep Rothwell and renew his contract. Armstrong wont fit after missing a series of games. No one has said Dolan is the answer but he is raw talent that needs developing and pursuing. He isnt a striker but better on the right wing. Personally you are way over critical of him in his 1st professional season and he is 17/18 years old. Doesn't say for Mowbray last 3 years planning and signings then -

Nyambe and Rothwell have 12 months club option extension in their contracts. Was surprised Armstrong played tonight. I think Dolan has done a good job up front Why didnt we put McBride or Burns on bench instead of Bennett or Nyambe? -
Gallagher would score goals if he plays up front and we created chances and crosses for him?

What a boring game. Tempo slow and boring. No Plan B. Did Buckley really play as a false 9 role? What a waste of a talent. Why not play Gallagher We are on the highway to nowhere under Mowbray. We need a new manager/head coach with new director and plan asap -
Gallagher was deffo his signing. Mowbray always wanted Gallagher to come back to Rovers. Rovers have scouting Pickering for 2 years according to local.media reports. Kaminski was scouted by our European scouting network for months. Mowbray wanted Gladwim and Bell before we got them. We wanted Rothwell during our league 1 season. Also question @JHRover, if they aren't Mowbray's signings then who.is signing them?

We do have head of commercial and marketing in Greg Coar. But his role isn't a director level for some reason. Wasn't when Dave Biggar was here his role when here was Commercial director? So wasnt isnt Greg Coar's role a director level position? What's their income against their expenditure? Compare to us. I dont know so why I am asking. When I said radical plan. I talking about new overall strategy in running the club like New football management structure including New CEO, 4 directors, Sporting Director and head coach. New matchday and Season ticket holders prices and plans( @Miller11's ideas on this I like), re-engageing with fanbase including past season ticket holders or match day buyers, maybe live music from local artists and bands pre match and after match if the demand is there from the fanbase, keep supporting the community trust work with children who attend games and use the family stand, owner meeting fans, etc. Let's see what the new owner does first. -

Of course he matters what he paid considering during the administration process they lost all the good players, a manager and training ground. Anyone looking to buy Rovers will have finance 20 mil a season to cover the losses each season to keep it afloat. Any new potential new Blackburn owners will need a radical plan to stop such losses, get more supporters in and reinvest in new board and football management structure. -

Bowyer was appointed as head coach tonight. He took training today. Looks Craig Gardner has joined him there on his staff -
It was clear that he didnt have the all round game for PL before he got there with Boro. Are you really comparing Rhodes to Kane? Look.at Kane all.round game including hold up play, shooting and etc. Could Rhodes play wide like Brereton does? Rhodes career has fizzled out cos of his poor career decisions. His choice. When Lambert came in here, I remember telling yourself that he would sell Rhodes and bring in a target man striker that suited his tactics. He got Danny Graham in.
-
Not for me. Rhodes barely played in last few seasons since leaving Rovers. Why that? Wonder if he regrets it?
-
We been scouting for the last 2 years according to articles in LT and Lancs Live
-
Rhodes had no pace unlike Armstrong who does. Very crucial difference
