Wagner been unemployed for 8 months Ismael 11 months. is that long? Parker was out of the game for 14 months, Lampard was out of the game for 18 months. Alex Neil was out of the game for 12 months

How are either a downgraded on Eustace when both have at playoff place on their CV in recent years(last 4 full seasons). Most head coaches/managers don't last long at this level? How many head coaches have Watford have in the 4 and half years, they had 9 head coaches. no one stays long at Watford. How was WBA a failure when he was sacked with them 6th in the league? FFS Championship - Table & Results | Transfermarkt just more excuses to prove your point. He got a Norwich a playoff place last season, yes or no? That's all that matters. You over obsess over a head coach failures, so has your choice Rob Edwards twice, once at Watford and this season at Luton, yet you still wanted him here Ismael had a big target man at Watford in Rajovic.. So why wouldn't go a bit more direct and get crosses into the box. That would be fairly obvious to play that way. We have Gueye here who is target man type and wants crosses into the box, so he might play that way, or he might play a mixed style of the players we have. I couldn't give a flying shit about coyle and the dingles to be quite honest.

He was saying he possible made it through to the final interview stages, just like Jackson did last week also. here is Nicko's article bit about Karanka "Aitor Karanka is strongly tipped to be in the final frame while experienced Valerien Ismael and former Liverpool number two Pep Lijnders have been mentioned in the last few days." He also mentioned Ismael last week
-
Utter pointless point to me, I don't want any dingles near our football club. We never going to appoint a Cooper, lets be realistic, his wages are well above any championship club without PL parachute money. Totally agree here. Ismael has got a playoff place on his CV. He has shown that he is willing to play different formations depending on the squad of players they have. At Barnsley, he played 3-4-3. At Watford he played 4-2-3-1 formation. Both Ismael and Wagner have playoff place on their CV plus Wagner has a promotion from this league on his CV, and kept them up in the PL on their first season. So please can you explained how you underwhelmed/disappointed by either candidate, given your choice of Rob Edwards has promotion on his CV, but didn't kept Luton up and this season in championship, they nosedived towards the bottom of the league before being sacked last month?

would Elliott Jackson and Andy Bayes have the contacts that Alan Nixon?
-
No that's Gestede said that in last fans forum meeting. Yes I wanted Dembele cos I'm rated just like I wanted De Lange or Mcloughlin. Yes we can believe that but he isnt the manager but the head coach. Wages for the he wanted wasn't in our budget probably only BTA was Swerving it again. The head coach needs to buy into his role and let the recruitment team do their jobs. Does the head coach have time to go and scout players in league 1 or overseas? The head coach should have a say in the final targets but not the shortlist. We have scouts to do the scouting the club allowing the head coach to coach the team and managed match days. Now we been over all this several times, do we really need to do it every week. Going over the same old points cos you don't want this structure in place as you make clear several times.
-
Different opinion to mine on the summer signings. Plus how many of those signings really did Eustace given unleaded comments about it and why Park left. Who says Eustace didnt have the final say? How can head coach scout players from overseas or even in the UK when he is coaching the team and managing games? That's why you got to trust your recruitment staff and Gestede/Owen on it. Eustace wanted Championship experience signings. Many of whom he wanted you didn't want like Wallace who you said was has been. Looks still a good player to me given how he played against us
-
Gerrard can't take the Rangers job until April for UK tax reasons Nixon has the story,
-
Ismael 4/6 now Alan Nixon
-
Not interesting in speaking about fucking Coyle. Dingle simple as. Shouldn't be nowhere near our great club. The recruitment department have done a good job this season in recruit good players wouldn't you agree? Eustace has decided to leave for his own reasons. big decision by him. We need to focus on the now and future under our new head coach
-
Nicko suggesting is moving fast in appointing Ismael
-
Well we are 6th and we have made a number of successful signings who have all had an impact on us being 6th, so I don't know what your issue is. the head coach isn't in charge of recruitment for the reasons I posted to RevidgeBlue on the structure question he asked I was open minded on the appointment as I said at the time. I expected a foreign head coach to be appointment cos they are used to coaching the team and allowing the Director of football and the recruitment team to scout and find the players for the head coach to pick from the shortlist Wagner's CV has promotion on it, playoffs pace on it and he keep his promoted Huddersfield in the PL. happy with either but its looking like Ismael will be appointed
-
Or we could looked at it that Karanka was interview and maybe into the final interview stage before Rovers saw the fans backlash against his appointment and back tracked, releasing a story to Elliott to dismiss it, or we interview him and he didn't make into the final interview stage. Just for the record, I wouldn't had interviewed him
-
I always thought it would be foreign head coach that we appoint as Eustace's replacement. Its fits with our club structure. Wagner was 28/1 before Nixon's story, now 3/1 and Ismael was 5/1 yesterday now 3/1 How can Wagner been a downgraded on Eustace when he has promotion from this league, kept Huddersfield up in the PL in the first season and with Norwich got a top 6 playoff place? Also when he was sacked at Young Boys, they were second in the league, they finished 3rd at the end of the season
-
According to the day before article Karanka was on the list Blackburn Rovers' manager search with latest on interviews | Lancashire Telegraph Aitor Karanka is thought to be amongst those who will be holding further discussions with Blackburn. The Spaniard has Championship experience, including a promotion on his CV, and manager Head of Football, Rude Gestede, at Middlesbrough.
-
I said I would be happy with Ismael being appointing here as head coach. Also mentioned Wagner name on the 11th Feb about being candidates for the job. Would be happy with either. Hopefully a quick appointment can be made by Tuesday so it gives them 3 days on the training pitch. Have we not spoken Karanka?
-
Wagner got Huddersfield promoted and Norwich into the playoffs during his 2 spells in the championship. Ismael got Barnsley into the playoffs and also managed WBA and Watford were he didn't see a full season out.
-
Jackson did aswell. before 24 hours later, he wasn't on the shortlist. Nixon said he was interviewed and possible make it through to the final stage of the interview process
-
after reading an article on his time at Leicester, and I think Cooper will see himself as PL manager and would only take a job at championship level for huge wages and spending big No I don't think we should be angry at all. I agree but I also think they have to be in line with the club structure, how we recruit players, want to be here. how are journalists going to asked questions to Waggott or Gestede when they don't do interviews beyond club media channels. They should of course used Rovers media for interviews but also do interviews with local journos like Jackson and Bayes plus Sky Sports. why would Waggott leaving stop anything when Pasha is here and runs the club for the owners?
-
So would people be happy with either Ismael or Wagner taking over?
-
Alan Nixon latest article Blackburn Rovers are speeding up their search for a new boss - and may have a new man in charge in the next 48 hours. Rovers plan to speak to two candidates for a last time before making their selection following the defeat at Swansea. Experienced Valerien Ismael has got through the process so far and is fancied as favourite to get the nod. The former Barnsley, West Brom and Watford chief is available and would work within the budget. Ismael may need a work permit to be processed but qualified comfortably before. He left Watford in March and could have a case to extend without reapplying. The main contender for Ismael seems to be former Huddersfield chief David Wagner who has a good reputation in England despite a poor run in other jobs since. Wagner would also need a permit but also worked at Norwich until May so should be clear on a similar basis to Ismael. Other possibles have been counted out in the interview procedure with some unwilling to work for the wage on offer after lucrative spells in the Premier League.
-
of course we wanted better but I wouldn't begging O'Neil or Cooper to come here. Of course it will lower salary than they were on in the PL. Nixon's article was that Cooper and O'Neil thinks its too low of salary for them to take them the job. If you read Nicko's comments believe his article he comments about the salaries out of work bosses wants and also think some people come for that. But ex Premier bosses mainly see that as too little.
-
I said it was my opinion was asked. Who says 600k salary plus bonuses is doing it on the cheap? what is your point based on?
