I would Wharton in my starting 11 if fit but cos he out injured for season but he would be starter for me. Dack has played there for Gillingham and said recently that his role before he came here. I disagree on the squad balance. Tho I think left back is still a weakness despite Douglas signing who has been very poor.

Not a fan of Armstrong wide and didnt understand why he was played there yesterday. I think Brereton has to play left with Elliott right Armstrong with Rothwell and Dack playing the 2 more advanced roles of the 3 man midfield. Travis in front of back 4. Disappointed performance and result. Our tempo of play and urgency were far too slow and we didnt up the tempo until Dack and Brereton came on. Not a fan of Armstrong wide with Elliott as false 9 and its doesn't work. Mowbray at fault for that. Douglas has been massive disappointment since coming here and need dropping asap. Would like to see certain changes to the line up for Huddersfield game.

His numbers were high playing with Graham and direct style. Now we playing different formation and style. Will his numbers be as high? Let's hope so for Rovers. Who says you are compromising Dack's source of goals by playing him as part of 3 man midfield? Surely until he plays there you cannot properly judge that.

For me, Armstrong is a 9 for me. Hes a goalscorer and striker..always has been. Can play and do a job wide/inside forward but never his natural role. Unlike we seen with Brereton who is much more suited to that role. Gallagher is a striker by trade. He has the odd game wide where he is good like Brentford away just recently where Simon Garner gave him a rave review. But he should be striker.

How often did he play as the 9 in the team? He played up front against Preston away, Bristol City away and Stoke away where he scores 3 goals and performed in their games

Why play 3 centre back against 1 striker? Also with the injuries we got and lack of training sessions happening not like we can try a new formation? I would try the 4-2-2-2 formation again. Similar to how Hasenhuttl plays at Southampton. He has impressed me with how he has got them playing and how well he has Stuart Armstrong playing there. We have played this formation before and with Dack returning shortly it might be a way to played. We havent tried a back 3 for the 18 months and with injuries at the back to our centre backs I dont see it has a viable option.
