  1. Gallagher's shot yesterday should have been on target just like his header at Fulham away
  2. why strange comment? I always want my teams to play on front foot, high pressing, massively work rate, short and sharp passing, movement, skills. But some times you cant always play that way cos teams don't allow you. it is the style of play/football keeping fans away or the fact that people work/family commitments don't allow alot of people attending regular far too early. But Huddersfield need a massive clearout and start again. I said in the last summer this needed to happened to Huddersfield fan mate. Stoke need to stand by Jones now and see where they at Christmas
  3. yet again you failed to answer a simple question, how many chances do we create for our strikers per game? do you have this stat? how many chances has Gallagher had since start of the season?
  4. win well? I would be happy with 1 nil and scrappy win. Not the way I like to play football but is about winning at the end of day
  5. I watched the full game live actually. How many chances do we actually created for our striker in the formation each game? Gallagher is working hard for the team. I disagree he should have scored from his chance but it should have been on target. The team needs goals from anywhere and at the minute we have this and we are not relying a 3 or 4 players to score the goals all the time we can play different formations with our current squad. Maybe Preston cant play different formations. as the reason why they stick to that formation. Tho mainly Alex Neil has always played 4-2-3-1 system whether at Norwich or Preston. So its seems a system he believe him. Where as I believe you need different systems at this level for different situations and teams. Paying 2 million for a player from league 1 who cant get on the bench. tho you do like championing for league 1 players. You did once tell me we should have gone for Davies from Barnsley as 1st choice keeper here this season. This is guy who cant even get on the bench at Stoke. A team below us. Preston need a quality striker as some of fans were asking for. maybe that's why he should have spent that 2 mil on. You mention that Mowbray has got an advantage over Neil due to Preston low wage cap? Neil knew that when he took the job and the way Preston are run. He rejected the WBA job to stay at there and working under the same budget. I think he made the right decision for himself
  6. Huddersfield collapsed again. Their squad is need an overhaul quickly in January and summer windows
  7. Rovers are playing well at the minute and I'm happy with the start to be honest. Yes I agree with the league being wide open atm
  8. granted it was 4 the back but the plan all week was 3 at the back until Tosin injured and Rothwell being ill. We need have the options where we can play different formations and situations in games. We need have a squad that can adapt and vary our play and set up which I see has a major bonus
  9. West Brom still having the same problems as last season poor defensively.
  10. How is it making the game very complicated? We now have a chance flexible to change the team or formation without affecting the quality of the starting 11. Mowbray job in league 1 was promotion and it will achieved. You sound still bitter cos we didn't win the league. is this the case? Majority of fans are backing Mowbray and always have. Do you still want him out/sack? Mowbray has been saying this for a while
  11. agree 1000% surely you need different options formation wise for the reasons posted yesterday. You didn't answer my question. Gallagher work rate was excellent and never stop all day. Thought he should have done better with his 1st half shot. People complained last season about the quality in centre mid and now Mowbray has moved Smallwood out of the team, Evans has become a squad player, We signed Johnson, Travis development over the 12 months is a major plus, and the signingsw of Downing and Holtby are quality. We were awful at Preston last season but Nyambe is out of team(Robinson ripped him apart), Mulgrew and Raya gone. We are much better defensively now Preston are a good team but don't have the strength in depth in quality we do in Midfield and up front tho They do have a quality manager and good 14 or 15 players.
  12. How many chances/shots did he have today game? We are scoring goals from different areas and not relying on a couple of players like last season
  13. The players show their adaptable today when Mowbray had to change it due to Rothwell and Tosin being out of the game. Of course it relevant but yet again you dismissed it. The players understand their roles in the 4-2-3-1. That's clear to see. different teams can play different ways. not everyone has to copy the same approach limiting yourself to one formation risky especially when you consider how well teams like Preston and Sheff Utd stop us playing and Marked Dack out of the game. Do you not remember these games? nope. cos we have mastered 1 formation already. with the personal we got playing 3 at the back is a formation we are well suited to. The best thing about how squad is the quality of it and how many options we have in midfield that allow us the ability to pick and choose how we want to play
  14. I think People like Graham Thorpe(one of England Batsman) remain part of the coaching setup there. Kirsten is a very interesting name and someone ive not thought about
  15. That's wasn't the formation we were going to start with today tho. Have you not listened to Mowbray's post match comments after Reading game? We were very lucky against Millwall last season at home but away from home we were very solid at home. The Players knows their roles in the 4-2-3-1 and its a formation we have mastered. but we need a couple of more for me. Give you adaptable and variety in different situations. These players are more than capable of doing this
  16. Armstrong played wide left today. I think he is better suited to wide role in 4-2-3-1 formation. Gallagher should be up front in majority of games. why does it matter so much? who cares if we predict the team selection as long as we win
  17. I've heard him on BBC TMS and Sky before he is far from dull IMO. have Giles spoken him before Bayliss left and that why he didn't ruffle feathers. England need a Head coach who can coach like Bayliss but challenge Joe Root on certain things. Matt, who would you appoint? A coach from County game or overseas one?
  18. Look like Alec Stewart is the current favourite for head coach job. alot depending whether he still wants to tour around the world and give up his role at Surrey
  19. why? it working under Mowbray and still people still look for faults instead of enjoying the 3 points, within touch of the playoffs and the current form
  20. very good win and we have a much better squad than last season and we have improved. Look much better at the back without Mulgrew and Raya now. More strength in depth in midfield and Forward areas. Gallagher put a real shift in up front today. Impressed. Back 4 just get better game on game
  21. Look at today game, we had to switch to 4-2-3-1 formation today cos of the late injury to Tosin and Rothwell being ill but the players mastered the system and the style we had to play together. I believe in having 3 different systems we can play if injuries happen or lost of form or Opposition tactics on Rothwell or Dack. I agree I wouldn't be changing it for Oldham attacking right back or Bury attacking left back. I would change it if we were playing a team like Millwall if they were playing 2 big target mans up front or if the opposition had a weakness in full back or centre back areas in terms of pace, @Tyrone Shoelaces I think you made good points on Dyche and Burnley but I have watched Bruce at Newcastle who has tried to employed the same system as Benitez but he doesn't how to play it like him. They would be better playing 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Potter at Brighton has played different formations but the same style apart from Man City away game
  22. I don't see Cunningham going back to Cardiff next summer and I think Rovers will look to make his loan move a permanent deal in January. Plus Cardiff will have a new manager next summer when Warnock retires(if he does) I don't see Brighton going down under Potter. Very good brand of passing and movement football. Ryan is very good keeper. I don't see Walton being number 1 next season so there is opportunity for us to loan him again. Rovers need to tied Dack down to a new contract and keep him here. playing his football under Mowbray
  23. 1. I always paid in full. 4. Ok 6. Ok. 8. I understand that. I see plenty of kids wanted autographs from players and manager at the start of the game, when sub and end of game. Memories
  24. Well who knows what will happen with Cunningham or Walton. Cant see either playing regular for their parent club. Do you? Where Dack going? No one came in for him during this summer after last season record. So where he going? But signings were signed. Might not be the ones we wanted or sign permanently as we would have like.
  25. Like I said we need flexible and play different formation. Well you arent going to have success in other formations if you dont play them and give them time. A number of teams last season marked Dack out of the game and stop us playing meaning we lost the game.
