Really top 2? The job Steve Cooper has done there is so far very good considering their cutbacks there and players sold to fund the club the summer. But that was always the plan at the club from club at the start of the summer. Before Cooper got the job Look at the players sold or released/not given new contracts Outgoing players Bony, Olsson, Fer, Montero(loan), Narsingh, Ayew(2.5 mil), James(15 mil) and McBurnie(17 to 20 20 mil). about 250 to 300k a week save there in wages. so that 12 to 15 mil save per year on wages. Plus fees there. Players they signed Peterson (500k), Bidwell on a free, loan in 4 players in Wilmot, Kalulu, Woodman and Sam Surridge. around 40k in wages a week I would say, so that is nearly 40 to 45 mill a year out of the player budget. wow So you would deffo say they has been massive cutbacks there wouldn't you?

Bare in mind a week fans didn't have a club tbh and alot of fans will be happy to be games supporting their club. wouldn't you be the same if that was our club? no one does. Buckley didn't have big imoact on the game and make us play better and keep the ball better. For me, Travis was our best player by far. Disappointed result after we scored 2 goals. The 1st goal was foul by Phillips but still Cunningham should have cleared the ball into the stand. 2nd goal was poor defending by Armstrong and Johnson didn't react to the ball coming off the post. Johnson went sleep. 3rd goal was poor by Lenihan who should have took him out but then Johnson didn't work hard enough to get back and cover. Far too many mistakes by players cost us today. Shame after 3 clean sheets. I enjoyed our 1st goal cause by us high pressing and winning the ball back high, I was surprise when Mowbray took Gallagher and Johnson off at half time. I would have took off Armstrong off inside. Gallagher wasn't in the game after first 15/20 mins Thought Buckley played well and I would start him in the next game. haven't we been over this before? Sharpe has said that Rovers/Mowbray didn't get their 1st 3 choices for the Keeper target. Sometimes you cant always get who you want for varied reasons despite you wanting them. TBH, I think Walton has proved to be more than good enough and better than Raya so far. Cos maybe the keeper we wanted wasn't allow to leave at that time Would you say it not better for Fisher development to be play 1st team football and would you say Hilton is ready to 3rd choice keeper?
