  1. Yes Rhodes was 35k a week along with Murphy, Etuhu. Did it cause problems? I don't know but that was 4 years ago. Lower league in Germany? it is the second division in Germany same as Championship is the 2nd division in England. seemingly penniless? we aren't but we have to get rid of the players we don't want to bring in others. Cant keep collecting players after players. Are we going to be spending 4 or 5 million pounds on 1 player? But we can still make signings and target players who are good players but out of contract in the summer. Mowbray said we don't have warchest for signings but we can still make signings We don't know what we give either players signing in fees. Rangers, West Brom, Brentford and Nottingham Forest all reported interest in him. So we cant competed wages wise either. You are totally wrong there as I respect everyone views actually. I would like to draw a line under this and move on. Agree?
  2. Good in there. England have delivered. The England fans there in Cape Town have been fantastic and what a great support
  3. You want a pitch that has pace all the way through the test matches for the fast bowlers but also for the spinners. Stokes has bowl magnificent so far in this spell.
  4. The wicket is dire after day 3. Offering nothing much at all
  5. Grabban is 35k a week. He went 18 months ago. Not this summer. You don't want one player on double the money what the rest are on? Team morale?
  6. Well it will be that high Average salary. Look at what players are on WBA and Stoke. Our wages for 18/19 season were 23 million for the entire club so that will including players, coaching staff and rest of the staff there. We don't have figures for this season Go and ask the players are on weekly. Sure they tell you
  7. We don't pay more 15k to 20k a week. Dack isn't on the highest wage earners.
  8. not watching it Jim? if you were you would the point Ive just make as he does the same one from commentary box in South Africa
  9. nope. Gallagher was 24k a week at Southampton and had to pay cut to move here. I rather have Jack Clarke on loan from Spurs or Chaplin from Barnsley.
  10. How? we tried everything. The pitch is a farce and another example of poor pitch. its slow and no pace at all as Michael Holding has just agree my comment/post from the commentary box
  11. Wrong again What my point is that how can you be so very judgemental about Schmidt when you don't have a clue what type of player he is and how good and bad he could be? I Have no idea on the player. Why don't you reserve any sort of judgement until we see him on the pitch? How is Schmidt a strange one when we have clearly been scouting Germany, France, Portugal? Brewster is going to Swansea cos he knows the manager from Cooper who was his manager when we won the u17 world cup. Sensible by the player going to join a club where the manager knows his strengths and him as player.
  12. Your obsess with Brereton. I haven't mention once today. Not part of my posts.
  13. In My Opinion, between 15k to 20k a week The German Attacking midfield Schmidt has playing Bundesliga 2 football so the equivalent to championship. As always you are very quick to write off any signings who isnt your suggestion. Wouldnt want Sinclair here.
  14. I'm in the other camp where I wouldn't be too quick to sell Evans. This him and Travis make an excellent partnership and results in wins most of the time when played together. I can see Smallwood leaving shortly
  15. We paid sensible wages Tyrone and still financial Wages are massive over compare to turnover. wasn't 154% wages compare to turnover. Well, maybe with you Mercer but still has his backers and plenty of them. Well would Mani do that Mercer? would you do it if you were in that circumstance Linked him over the weekend. Posted the link As I have already posted them. We have been linked Schmidt, attacking midfield. Tanner, full back. Left back from Gillingham Ogilvie. Centre back Henegham Grabban's wages are far too high as we went through all this 18 months. We don't pay big wages. couldn't be further from the truth your comment
  16. From Pete O'Rourke Stoke City are interested in a move for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Corry Evans. #SCFC #Rovers https://t.co/bG6AlgNSnQ
  17. Billy Sharp has turned down Forest and is staying at Sheffield United https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/billy-sharp-makes-decision-sheffield-21229795.amp?__twitter_impression=true
  18. Billy Sharp turned down moves to Forest and Celtic yesterday to stay at Sheffield United now..
  19. That's why I said in my opinion. Tho I don't think I'm far off tbh. We are never going to offering millions in wages to attract managers like Bilic or Bielsa..
  20. Did he not walk away from Coventry without a pay off?
  21. Kean was only on 1 million pounds as manager when he was here when we was in premier league club. But dropped to 600k per year when we dropped from Premier league to Championship season 2012/13 season. Here Is Nick Harris article on Kean's contract from October 2012 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2213963/Nick-Harris-Steve-Kean-turned-14-9m-Blackburn-deal.html I would say in my opinion Mowbray is on 600k basic plus bonuses. Leeds manager Bielsa is 6 million pounds per season.
  22. So nothing to back it up then? I'm sure Waggott would be involve in these decisions but the ultimate decision stay with them. It's their way they made business decisions
  23. But you say this but he actually bought an apartment in the Area so he is close to Brockhall training ground. Plus he been here 3 years now.
  24. You keep saying Mowbray got Waggott the job but Mowbray has said he had nothing to do with him. Can you back up what you claim? Waggott does run the club for them but sacking a manager is made at Ownership level? IMO, Preston don't have finances to make this happen
