Birmingham weren't causing us any problems second half until Raya's mistake. FACT! we were looking to score a third and I thought today would be when Brereton score. also I said previously that Nyambe was too slow for Birmingham second goal. also I said we stop passing then ball to feet and went back to long balls and not suited Dack or Brereton game after Raya's mistake. Why I don't know,

JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

Reed is quality and I think he is good at getting forward. Thought he scored today until Camp great save. I rated Rothwell very highly. I would be tempted to play him wide left and Reed/Evans in centre midfield for Norwich game -
for what reasons?

JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

I like Reed wide as he can get forward more and using his energy to get into the box. He wont do that much in a the defensive 2 midfielders in the formation we play -

a few shocks today. QPR beating Boro, Stoke drawing at Villa. Ipswich beating Wigan today. Can see Cook leaving there soon. Phil Parkinson still the favourite for the Reading job which surely he would take after the trouble going on at Bolton now -
sorry but before Raya's mistake we were very confortable and Birmingham were never going to scored. Birmingham are a basic team with simple tactics. Mowbray game plan stopped that until Raya's mistake Thought Bell was decent today. Agreed on Armstrong. didn't run with the ball today. but great finish. Far too much blaming Brereton for every time he on the pitch and quite honestly I'm getting fed up and tired of it. Its pathetic. Some fans were pathetic with their comments today. Yes Graham and Brereton are very different strikers but after they scored we stop passing it short which would suit Brereton much more.

The weather was awful and I just about got warm again. I felt very comfortable and never in danger of leading the 2 nil lead. We didn't let them have a chance to the Raya's mistake which he didn't need to come that far out and he has to be held responsible for today defeat. Nyambe was far too slow for the 2nd goal and it was similar to Robinson's goal at PNE. Second half we were passing it well until they scored. Then we stop passing it well and went back to long balls again. So frustrating to watched. I agreed. They were 4 people behind me today who don't sat there normally but sat there cos the 4 people who normally sat there had gone inside for abit did nothing but continually slated and moaned about Brereton all game and one of those people were mid to late 30's. Total embarrassing to listened to and its no wonder why Mowbray is cautious about using him. I was close to saying something but I really couldn't be assed. Today dropped points had nothing to do with Brereton coming on. Plus Graham was injured with a sore back. Guess some people missed this tho. also was anyone shock by the booing at Mahoney today? I was. I'm disappointed he left but that was his choice

JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

But the boss wouldn’t be drawn on whether he is looking to bring a member of his 2016/17 crop in Sam Gallagher back to the club in January. Rovers are understood to have tried to bring Gallagher to the club in the summer window without success. The 23-year-old, who scored 12 times during his previous season-long loan spell, has struggled for fitness this season, playing just 20 minutes of senior football for the Saints in the Carabao Cup, and only once for the Saints’ Under-23s. With Rovers keen to add to their attacking ranks in January, Gallagher is thought to have come under consideration for a possible Ewood return. Mowbray’s attacking options have been weakened by a knee injury to Dominic Samuel in August which is set to keep him out for the remainder of the season, while Rovers are keen to get 21-year-old Joe Nuttall gain further experience out on loan. “Southampton have just got a new manager and I’m assuming he will be assessing each player,” Mowbray said. “I don’t think they’ll be in any great rush to push anyone out of the door. “That team that I inherited, however long ago it was I generally liked that team. “The points accrued was pretty good. “It’s about building a team, building a club. “Let’s see how much we have to spend in January, whether we are going down the loan route or looking to sign some permanent players.” From This morning LT https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17299953.rovers-boss-on-inherited-players-and-sam-gallagher-links/?ref=mac -

Harvey Barnes proving a good player. -
never said he is unsellable but that my opinion wont sell him in January. I don't see him as Wesy Ham type of player and someone they really need tbh from what ive seen of their team

well Nixon and Sharpe have both done reports on it this week. So its very good chance of happening. a winger and centre back. No need for a right back IMO until the summer -
West Ham have been playing 4-4-2 recently so Dack doesnt fit that at all. I dont see Rovers selling Dack in January. Mowbray has said this on the record and i dont think he would have said this otherwise unless the owners said deffo staying regarding of the money. Asking price has to be plus 30 mil pounds for. 15 million pounds is well below his valuation
-
I think Smallwood. Tho your last point is correct
-
I explained why I would drop Dack and my reasons were more than just form tho. But you have ignored them again. Thanks.
-
If Davenport had been fit I believe he would be a regular. Travis will only get better by playing. Big fan of him. Box to box player. Rothwell would be my playmaker in the side if Dack goes in the summer unless he stays loyal to Mowbray and Rovers would be nice to see for a season. For me, Rothwell and Davenport will be key to Mowbray changing our style of play as he has said he wants too. In that case we wouldnt pick any wide players then! Bennett starts every game as for reasons I have posted different times on here.
-
Not a big Evans fan and last season.I would have been happy to sell him. But the last 6 months he has been excellent on the whole. Also notice he has recently getting forward more. Cant see Reed being here next season and with Travis and Davenport here I think we are well stocked there. Plus will Rodwell be here next season? Dont know. Think Rothwell should be in the team by then. Bennett is must starter in any team we pick.

I did a 10 seconds google search on Sam Gallagher's wages. Found 3 or 4 websites quoting 24k a week wages. Here 1 link for you below. Maybe research what Ive said before jumping the gun yet again. I respect and understand what Mowbray has said about Brereton even tho I disagree on certain points. We only have 2 strikers for me. Graham and Brereton. I class Armstrong as winger/wide forward. Brereton has to wide if Graham and Dack are on the pitch. You mention Coyle is just embarrassing and shows a lack of class. I never want to read anything he said ever again. Please to quote Coyle to me again otherwise you will BE ignore permanently. Your choice!!! Report: Southampton's Sam Gallagher wanted by Sheffield United and Blackburn -

Would you have took Graham off to play Brereton up front on Saturday? what daft systems? Chelsea and Man City both used that system at the weekend? well we don't know what Reed is on but Gallagher is on 24k a week. that's above our wage structure. isn't Saville on loan at Boro atm? Why do you keep comparing us to other clubs? every club run their club differently and rightly so. You see obsess with comparing us to other teams? we don't pay big wages tho as Mowbray and Waggott both said in the past? I bet our highest wage earner isn't on 20k a week IMO. I would play Brereton BUT I understand Mowbray point of view and where he is coming from. The problem is most of you just ignore his views and used the lanuague you have used in your post above. Mowbray and his staff see these players every day in training. We don't. all we see is on the pitch. it completely doesn't belittles my point of being a newly promoted side as I seen the Brereton buy as an investment and look at the deal as a long term project. Yes I don't like him wide but he is going to have to play wide if Graham and Dack are still on the pitch and we keep the same formation 4-2-3-1 unless we drop Dack deeper or wider which you would be dead against Mowbray explained everything and has been open than ever with fans. Bet some other former managers wouldn't be. Maybe Mowbray just turn around and say I'm the expert so leave me to it -

Pulis isn't well liked from what I can understand. his style of football isn't liked either. Could @Teesside Steel add more to this please?
