In terms of his overall keeping ability, he's about the same as Walton but better with his feet. He's not a keeper you have much faith in though. New keeper wouldn't have to be a worldy to be an upgrade.

This is a point I made last week about Pears - A lot of goals we concede aren't his fault (like the Szmodic pass last week) but there is zero confidence of him saving or putting off the striker. We just accept they score from those situations.

No he shouldn't. We need to sign a left back and put Brittain at right back on his natural foot. Pickering has always been a weak link and teams are starting to expose JRC's defensive awareness. The irony of today is we were forced to take both Pickering and Dolan out of the starting 11 and looked no weaker with ten men.

His movement is decent and he has that ability to stick his arse out and hold the ball up. Another with no pace though, he looks like he's running through treacle.
