  1. Here’s the Twitter thread...??
  2. I had the privilege of being there for that occasion.
  3. Coincidentally it was a question asked on Twitter earlier today by New York Rovers chaps...we were speculating about the potential for a change in the badge. I distinctly remembered the badge being around when I started going to Ewood (1969 ish) so I asked Fred Cumpstey who gave me the answer. The Google search confirmed Fred’s answer in that the programme cover changed for the 1967/8 season. i always thought it odd that the red rose badge appeared on the shirts but everywhere else used the roundel type badge...well at least until it appeared on the shirts. i also recall being quite excited to see a new kit with the new badge...oh how naive we all were in the 1980’s...no kit launches then...you just waited for the first home game & peeled your eyes ?. The red & blue stripes suddenly appearing on the shorts for the legendary Feb 1975 game v Plymouth being a case in point...a kit change, mid-season...crazy times. ?
  4. That was exactly the point...?
  5. I always loathed the black & grey Lonsdale one...a right cheap & nasty Mike Ashley special... ugh
  6. These are excellent...with 1 caveat...the halves need to be reversed on the back & if not halved sleeves, then the contrast should be at the front not the back, else ?? oh yeah...white shorts ?
  7. We did one on Twitter as well...it’s a “Wow”...which it definitely is...?
  8. Rovers away shirt... ....black, the same pattern in grey....red collar cuffs & socks...yay or nay ? ?
  9. It’s extracts of the Umbro diamond in boxes
  10. Not as bad as the grey & black Lonsdale monstrosity surely...
  11. I think @MickTaylor might be able to shed some light on this through a close family connection....?
  12. This is quite funny & no, it’s not me...? https://www.football365.com/news/mediawatch-on-a-po-faced-herbert-in-huddersfield
  13. They must have easily had > £500k of press, tv & radio coverage already...as a business proposition that is a return. I am no fan of gambling at all & PP even less but I have to doff my cap to their marketing team who have played a blinder.
  14. For those on Twitter there is a thread on Nick Harris (@sportingintel) timeline which is alarming to put it mildly
  15. I was at Hillsborough & he wasn’t IMHO
  16. Liked the look of Butterworth. Fisher made some decent saves but looked weak on crosses...I know, I know...Buckley definitely has something about him. Downing late cameo. Look out for signature left to right diagonal balls over the top for Armstrong being a thing this season.
  17. Some traction for this on Twitter....anyone ?
  18. Less of a shirt, more of an ice lolly...
  19. What do we think of this...??
  20. You are Steve Waggott & I claim my £10 ?
