WBA have just changed hands for £60m (for an 88% stake) so that sets a benchmark I guess. Their recent history & prospects are better than ours currently are e.g. their attendances are higher, league position - so I’d imagine Rovers would bring in less than that sum - but the devil is in the detail of any deal… Running costs ? It would take a while to start to increase any income, costs would rise in the short term if new players were brought in & stadium improvements/investments made…add another £20m to that for year one…? 🤔

Look at the example of Mel Morris at Derby…

The club owns Ewood & player registrations. Someone buying Rovers would do it for similar reasons one imagines to the new owners of Bolton, Wigan, Hull, Sunderland, Birmingham, WBA etc & so on. These reasons could include one or all of a genuine belief that they could get Rovers to the PL, a desire to own an historic club as a status symbol, a wish to have a say in the running of English football, a vanity project, an emotional local connection… How do you become a multi millionaire by owning a football club ? Start as a billionaire. 😆

It doesn't affect all users. It's mainly a problem for those that move regularly from Forum to Home page e.g. to read articles, to vote on POTM, to listen to a podcast (🙏) & so on. Folks who do that a lot were starting to get 502 Gateway errors & @StubbsUK managed to isolate the cookie responsible. The idea behind us sharing this was to ensure all users weren't troubled by this issue. If it worked before & it works now...all good 🙂

Let’s be clear…the Indian courts freeing up the working capital is far from a given. The Wharton fee is payable in instalments so only the first one will have been received. The Raya money is reasonably certain. The Ennis money probably just about covers what we paid him in wages & medical bills ! I reckon a realistic cash input is more likely to be c.£8-£10m - which if no money comes in from India will be wiped out out in running costs within 4-6 months…😳
