Venky’s v Indian Government (a)
Herbie6590 replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I agree. It’s like me saying “my imprisonment for tax fraud will not affect my ability to continue to fund my children’s education…they aren’t linked..”. For absolute clarity…I am not in prison currently…neither do I have children but hopefully you get the point 😆 -

That’s as maybe but if you are asking folks to risk getting a criminal record by pitch invading it’s only fair to point it out beforehand. -

Ridiculous? 🤔 And the next time you apply for a job and get to the section of the form where you have to disclose your criminal record… https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/article/2024/jun/02/three-charged-with-invading-pitch-during-champions-league-final https://www.chesterstandard.co.uk/news/23842650.13-men-appear-court-chester-fc-pitch-invasion/ https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/strict-match-measures-lead-to-pitch-invader-conviction -

Pitch invading also gets you a criminal record which has significant side effects for those individuals arrested. -
Oh dear God, no .....

We should take the blue from the Burnley kit, the white from the Rovers kit; the “Black” bit from our name & “Burn” from their name to create a solid amalgamation. As Burnley don’t have a suffix, we should use ours… so “Blackburn Rovers”…with this sort of shirt perhaps… -

The Round Table Show is back & we have a fabulous chat with a US based fan Jared Plotts ( @CLE_Jared ) about his 20+year love affair with Rovers. How did it start? How does he manage to keep enthused "from a cornfield in Ohio" about the issues in our part of East Lancashire? We chat Ryan Nelson, Benni McCarthy, Tugay & er...Duncan McGuire in a wide-ranging conversation with one of Rovers most colourful supporters. Roger Whiteside poses the questions & producer Ian chips in every now & then as is his wont..! Listen right to the end to find out the best thing about life in Lancashire..! https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/podcasts/the-round-table-show-me-and-3-ferrets-man!/56

For absolute clarity I was not meaning with the FA necessarily…more a way into a club hierarchy as opposed to what was tipped pre-tournament e.g. the Man U job. -

If I was him I’d be looking for a directorial role where he can set strategic direction, establish a culture & drive forward a vision. The team probably needs a more analytical mind, someone capable of realising what’s happening & having some options up his sleeve to affect the game. He’s done a great job on the whole, think back to McClaren, Capello & Hodgson; but it all has a last days of the regime feel to it now. -

Rovers kits 24/25 season
Herbie6590 replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Just to ensure credit gets distributed fairly - Macron are very receptive to suggestions from the club re design. But the impetus comes from the club to drive the design - although Macron will offer various suggestions re template, material, design cues etc. The credit for these kits needs to be pointed in the direction of Fraser Read who I have found to be uniformly receptive to feedback about what might sell & why. -

Sorry to pour cold water on this but the programme on Saturday was Seamus Conneely’s Testimonial brochure. There was a folded A4 glossy wraparound with squad listings that made it look like a programme. Stanley also no longer produce printed programmes but Andy Holt is on record as saying he’d love to bring them back at some point.

I was there…the Keith Fear game. Murdered ‘em 1st half, 3-0 up, Fear missed a penalty, almost gave it away at the death. Faz talks about it on here 👍
