The order has gone in to Ribero, the invoice paid so we just await delivery. When I have further news I will update this thread. I didn’t hear all of them announced but… Gestede, Samba, Sulley, Sims ? , Taylor, Round, Hendry, Broomes, Parkes, Gallacher, Darling, Byrom, Douglas Not sure why Scott Wharton was called across for the photo…🤔 per @Parsonblue The guy next to Gordon Taylor and Chris Sulley is Johnny Byrom who was a great favourite in the early sixities before leaving for Bolton in 1966. Seemed to always give us problems whenever we played Bolton thereafter. Returned to Rovers right at the end of his career for a season. A really great guy. Chris Sims is between Bryan Douglas and Malcolm Darling.

Until Jack we didn’t have a single owner. We had a board of directors & each director had a shareholding. In my living memory the biggest criticism levelled against the board was that “they don’t want promotion because they can’t afford the bonuses..” which for fans of my generation will resonate…🤨
