  1. Whilst I wouldn’t be shocked and I wouldn’t blame him part of me thinks (unpopular opinion time) that he knew what he was getting into. All you have to do is look at recent history, and I know people always think they can tame a bad boy and this time it will be different, it never is. In a way I envy him, he can escape this, and he can do it with his head held high, we are destined to live in this hell cycle until someone somehow shows us some mercy. 13 years ago I was naive enough to think my words could help if I got chance to speak with the owners, part of the fans forum and never missed a home game, now I’m a lapsed season ticket holder who feels detached from the club my family has always loved but still feel the pain of our decline.
  2. Got to say it’s really poor from Pears that free kick, there’s no way he should be beat that easily
  3. Annoyingly Burnley will have chance to go top against Leeds Sheff United battering Hull but 2-0 down
  4. Once again unleaded beats the local press to the punch
  5. Football in the community May 2024 https://youtu.be/zat6ljqS5eg?feature=shared
  6. Reckon Burnley may win tonight, 5-0 up at half time
  7. Lad seems more bothered about his podcast though than reporting on us on anything a millimetre below the surface or handed to him
  8. More likely they did their homework on Pears and the tactic still paid off
  9. He deserves dropping. I’d be all for it to send a message, problem being who comes in?
  10. He’s never been one to bite the hand that feeds him either. ‘Get Real’ sticks in the memory
  11. The thing is we didn’t ’lose’ a player that scored 33 goals - we sold him, that happens in football, the difference is usually the clubs will reinvest to replace. I feel for Eustace but as a club it’s a problem of our own making from the top brass
  12. Whilst Eustace is currently working minor miracles it stings to lose to the managerial powerhouses of Rooney and Lampard this season, both with rank average teams who didn’t have to do too much to get the wins.
  13. I’d say a poll of anyone that watched would very strongly come to the same conclusion
  14. The worrying thing is we had Litherland, Edmondson and O’Grady-Macken on the bench tonight and then had 2-3 more injuries. We are properly down to bare bones here and having to play the likes of Buckley and JRC and can’t drop chronic under performers because we have nobody. If I was Eustace I’d be hammering on Waggots door tomorrow with a back me or I leave ultimatum, he’ll be fine out of this either way
  15. Played well until they scored, pretty awful second half but agree we really shouldn’t be losing that. Gueye was by a long way our best player but as Roversfan99 will point out he didn’t stick it in the onion bag. A truly frustrating evening
  16. He’s not earned a hand job tonight
  17. Right fuck off now Todd you lazy tit, they pass it straight to us and he does some daft-twat flick instead of just taking a touch and passing it
  18. I hate when it gets like this but I feel I am starting to actively dislike Cantwell, every pass is so lazy
  19. I know we often clash on this but I really feel the ire is misplaced here, I get there’s niggly fouls but I think he’s done a decent job overall, no ref is flawless but I don’t think a bunch of yellows have been needed today Lazy offside by Andi there
  20. Holy shit - just noticed Weimann is on the pitch I had no idea
  21. Cantwell deserves to be on the bench - again though sadly we have no other options
  22. Wish we had the luxury of sending ACD back but we have nobody, the season is going to end up in a second half slog again which is so frustrating and avoidable but seemingly all in the design
  23. Another injury, Joe Cheesestring-Costello again! What a change from 40 minutes in, says a lot when we’ve had a load of chances, not scored yet the forward most of them has fallen to is clear man of the match for us. Diabolical from a few of them second half
  24. For a while we looked like getting one back and reviving this game but it looks well and truly game over now, most of them given up
