  1. How do the owners benefit from the Armstrong deal? Pay them back for Gallagher and Brererton?Pay toward wages? They have no clue how to run a football club but they won't be rubbing their hands together over the fact they made 9 or 10 Million on Armstrong. This is not a post defending the owners, without a doubt they are totally clueless and agree with the majority of what you have said apart from the owners benefitting from the Armstrong sale. Which ever way you look at it the club needs money being brought in.We had sold Raya and Nuttall previous to Armstrong. We still are not in player trading profit during Mowbrays tenure. Also you keep saying "it's the same as every summer".Last summer 11 players were brought to the club,12 if you include Pickering.Granted 6 loans
  2. Only a months deal and maybe Mowbray feels Carter and the lad from Brighton can fill in at rb if Nyambe or Jrc are out.Pike needs to play games, yes it is not a very good level but it will be more competitive than under 23 football
  3. Dan Pike joined AFC Flyde on loan
  4. Keeping that space open for Sturridge
  5. Do you not think Cooper who was at Swansea will be in the running? Isn't he part of the same agency who we seem to always appoint managers from?
  6. If we offered Mullin a contract he would be here likewise if anyone else in the championship made him an offer. I read an interview not long after he signed online and he only mentioned turning down league 1 and 2 no mention of the championship
  7. Premier league clubs made the same ruling as the EFl
  8. Villa letting Martinez and Beundia out didn't help the other teams .Can see a FIFA sanction coming which will mean he could possibly miss 2 matches
  9. It might not be scummy to Chapman's bank balance though??He signed on for another year for a reason nobody was paying him more Agreed he did look good V Forest. He didn't get a fair opportunity to build on that ,will say he has been poor in the majority of his time though although never got a proper run at it either.Money was definitely made by a few off that extension
  10. Yeah so why He committed to 500k to another left back. Now Edun might turn out to be a good signing but it is still a gamble and our last money purchase was a full back from the same league. We could have probably signed the striker from Accy for not too much more a rated player who many feel has the potential to play at a higher level again a gamble but if that gamble pays off we have a goalscorer surely easier to loan in a left back who would be competent or let Costello fill in. Totally agree overall responsibility lays with the owners and more money could have been made available but we had some money as shown by our last ditch effort to get Burke in.The failure to bring in anyone definitely lays with the people on the ground.Maybe Mowbray doesn't want a striker? With the little money he had available.Maybe that's why Khedra and Poveda were signed to play the role Dolan was.I know he said he wanted a striker but when we brought in Brererton he called him a striker same with Gally then they were reborn as wide fowards Still think we will stay up lot worse in this division. We won't get as many goals but we will be harder to beat if Pickering improves or this new fella is better and Nyambe can get fit.Brererton and Gally can get ten goals each this season if he doesn't faff about changing things every week
  11. Don't think we will do well this season but think we will stay up.The league is weaker than last season,we ain't the only team with a weak bench. My biggest worry is gonna be TM trying to be clever and outwit the opposition manager every week and changing the line ups and formation to counter them instead of concentrating on ourselves and playing to our strengths. But there are other poor managers in the division with worse squads. I agree the owners should have stumped up the extra cash for a goalscorers but once again Mowbray doesn't get his priorities in order, why sign both Khedra and Poveda surely one or the other. We might not have had much to spend and couldn't have gotten a permanent deal done but surely be to God a loan of a striker with a chance of scoring goals could have been brought in instead of one of those. The biggest disappointment for me is not loaning any players out.McBride and Vale another year of under 23 football we will learn nothing from it.Garrett who looked good in the pre season friendly could have been sent out. Butterworth is needed now but again he will probably be living off scraps a few minutes here and there when we are up against it and need a goal.Even when he comes on and if he does well he will be on the bench again. Chapman comes on against Forest good showing then out the door.I would love to know how much we are paying him
  12. Announce Sturridge On a serious note looks like FIFA are going to have a say over players playing for red listed country's. We could be without Brererton yet which makes it even more bewildering we didn't bring a goalscorer in. We couldn't have gotten anyone even on loan?Joke
  13. Mowbray lucky he has had a reasonable start otherwise be in for some grief next match. Not to sign a striker is bad but to only send one of our younger players out on loan, a player who clearly doesn't have a future at the club, is a disgrace.
  14. Preston signing Ali McCann from St Johnstone
  15. They meant the owners would give him a new contract not that they would themselves, that's how I took it anyway
  16. Sharpe saying Burke link was played down by people at the club
  17. Some of the young lads should have been sent out on loan ffs
  18. I'd take Brewster over Burke all day long.We need a goalscorer.Things have not worked out for Brewster at Sheffield but he was lethal for Swansea in this division and well thought of at Liverpool.Never worth that sort of money but if he was to join on loan I'd be confident him being our top scorer
  19. ££££££ they must be paying big wages if Nitchim is signing for them
  20. Obafemi to Swansea 1.5- 2 million.Bargain
  21. Sharpe reckoned the wage he is on at Southampton would have come within what we pay our players. He is out of contract in the summer and is only 20 so he must have signed his last deal at 17 or 18 can't imagine he would be on mega money
  22. Yeah but played 30 odd games in Holland last year.I mean I know the Dutch league isn't anything spectacular but the championship isn't either
