  1. It was a couple of weeks ago we enquired according to Nixon
  2. Nixon hasn't said we have moved on from Lange, still trying to agree a fee. We will have asked about a number of keepers.
  3. Rushworth wouldn't come on loan to play second fiddle The club won't pay a couple of million on Lange to bench him Maybe we are looking for 2 keepers, but it wouldn't be both those keepers
  4. Dozzell mentioned by a couple gone to Pompey
  5. Gala raiding the championship, they signed Sara from Norwich today
  6. It will be taken off the line nixon put in his article that Brum asked about swaps when we enquired over Dembele
  7. He hadn't started a game In midfield in 3 months Iv no doubt the money men were happy to get Travis wages off the books but it is also clear to see JDT didn't rate Travis as a holding midfielder and clear why Travis would have been wanting to leave with JDT as manager
  8. JDT said it. He said Travis had wanted to play as a 6 but he didn't think he was suited to that role in his team. Those weren't quotes I read either ,it was a video and he did say those exact words And Travis hadn't started a game in midfield in 3 months at that point
  9. As if Greg or anyone at the club has the authority to set player prices or make gentlemen's agreements the owners will be doing that
  10. Why would you make that agreement tho when he renewed, he still had a decent amount of time on his initial contract. That contract was about rewarding him ,as I'd expect his wages jumped significantly from what he was on per week initially. And also if it was around the time he renewed his contract, why wasn't it put in as a Clause in the contract and make it binding? Plus can anyone but the owners here set a price for a player? Just doesn't seem logical to me but I suppose I have seen dafter things happen
  11. Yeah but the only reason Szmodic would have to be unhappy with Rovers in that case would be if we are saying no to bids matching whatever the gentleman's agreement figure was Ipswich's first bid was rejected at £6 million if the media speculation is to be believed, that offer for a guy who just scored 30 goals and was top scorer in the division is just taking the piss, Szmodic isn't daft he knows we ain't going to accept peanuts,if he is still here it will be because nobody was willing to pay the money for him ,and yeah he might be disappointed but we will see no less effort from him
  12. Well we have it from Eustace that Ipswich haven't offered the money we want yet
  13. See I think if a gentlemans agreement of £8 million does exist then he would be an Ipswich player already
  14. The podcast at end of season he said he was happy here, he only signed a contract in December, every players dream to play at the highest level, if a bid comes in from a prem team he hopes the club are understanding I think he does deserve a move to the prem, could be his last chance but at the same time the club shouldn't be bending over backwards to make that happen .Pay a reasonable price and the club will allow him to leave.
  15. So we should just sell him for whatever bid from a prem team comes in? If Ipswich want him then pay the price.Their first bid that was rejected was £6 million(reportedly)ffs
  16. Even In that podcast with Big Sam he said he was happy here, he is under contract .He just said it's every players desire to play in the top league and if a prem club comes calling he hoped the club would be understanding. If Ipswich are low balling us with 6..7..8..million offers then what can Szmodic kick off about? I agree he deserves a prem move after the season he has had but it a prem team wants him then pay up
  17. How did the new french lad do?
  18. Go ahead eagles ain't going to be loaning us their number one, let's see how it plays out but if Nixon is correct and we are in for Lange,it will be a permanent deal
  19. He was playing in the top division in Belgium not the second division . When we signed Armstrong he had struggled in his two previous loans and Szmodic had never scored more than 6 in a season at championship level
  20. How is the Belgium league Mill hill st Peter's level Gav? The Belgium league is a higher standard than the championship
  21. Although I agree some money should be spent on a player with pedigree and a decent age in this country, the Senegal striker wasn't free he was over a million and talk now we are going to pay £2 million for this goalkeeper Don't get me wrong I'm not saying everything is rosy far from it but the lad from Belgium has cost money and he was playing at a better level than championship
  22. Lange seems to play all the time, the psv guy is a sub for them
  23. Going off Nixon, Ruddy is first choice for Eustace. I doubt The ruddy deal will be happening anyway .
