  1. Outfield player so slightly different but he was younger ,Mowbray had Mulgrew under him gave him a new deal on decent money it wasn't long after that he was rarely in the starting 11 and we couldn't shift him due to the money he Is on. Eustace had little input over the Ohashi and Gueye signings .What was the point in bringing in Park,Owen etc if we are just gonna sign the managers old players.Birmingham got relegated last season. Eustace having him as a player previously isn't a good enough reason not to have major doubts over signing him
  2. Nixon said Newcastle haven't given an answer to the loan request (not saying nixon is 100% right on this like just the info I'm going off) Maybe they have had encouragement in buying Trafford now and needed Ruddy previously to fill their English quota but if Trafford goes there they don't need Ruddy for that I really hope this one doesn't happen.
  3. Why can't they send over half what they used to send over and then leave the other half as the bond and it would still be costing them the same as it was previous to these charges against them?... instead they have sent nothing since that 11 million leaving us poor fans to watch our talent get scooped up by the vultures whilst two weeks into the season our squad lacks in numbers and quality
  4. If Nixon is correct about Eustace having his heart set on Ruddy then we could be in for a wait till deadline day on that one, they will probably only let him out if they sign Trafford or another keeper. So that means Pears in goal for Burnley We need a longer term option, I mean I'd rather have Ruddy than Pears in goal just kicking the can down the road it would have to be addressed again in the summer Eustace should have a say of course but say we did bring in Ruddy ,Dembele, Baker(sell Travis ) and loaned in Stansfield(I don't think we will) but If we did that would be quite expensive, fees for Dembele and Baker, loan fee for Stansfield and Ruddy, Baker and Dembele will be on better wages than our top earner. Ruddy would be finished as a number 1 next season and Stansfield would be gone back. Surely better could be found for that sort of outlay
  5. Dembele will be on more money than any of our players. We do need a bigger squad but for me Ruddy and Dembele would be poor signings and Baker at £2 million + a decent wage wouldn't be a great signing either
  6. Yeah he said he thinks it doesn't impact the plans they have
  7. Nixon has put a story up saying disagreements over signings . According to Nixon Eustace wants Ruddy, Dembele, Stansfield and Baker. The hold up in the Japanese guy deal is the club are working their way through Eustace list Apart from Stansfield who we won't get I'd take a pass on the other 3.Baker maybe but not at the money Stoke want
  8. Exactly , the fact he is captain clearly points towards Travis being a player the manager doesn't want to lose Only way it would be a small bit acceptable if it was Travis demanding a transfer but I highly doubt that to be the case now he is back in the starting line up,but I'd still hope the club would stand their ground a little if that was the scenario he is under contract here
  9. We shouldn't be entertaining bids for Travis now he has looked better after being a bit lost under jdt and be another big personality lost from the dressing room If he does go I'd expect they will try sneak him out the door on deadline day after bringing in a couple of loans from prem academy's which the more casual fan will swallow as good business
  10. I don't want an OAP freebie being brought in and would like the club to spend a bit on a long term solution for goalkeeper but I think there may be better value than Iverson,25 grand a week he is supposedly and although a good keeper at this level IV never thought wow, some of his loans haven't been great. Surely better value going into Europe and hope recruitment finds the next Kaminski, rather than Whalsedt. The test for these foreign lads will come in the winter months ,but the starts made by them should breed confidence in the recruitment this season. Nice nod to the recruitment staff by Eustace in the let article, acknowledging his involvement was minimal and saying both have taken him by surprise with their performances so far
  11. Parish on signing Wharton https://www.facebook.com/share/v/e8RkVMLm7Z7Tom4X/
  12. Ok fair points and for clarity I do not believe everything he says.I didn't say nixon didn't say he was in the country, what I said was he took that from Molla.I just feel his stories are worth discussing and he seems to have a little bit more knowledge of what is going on behind the scenes than he has the previous few summers. All these twitter guys are the same some right some wrong.Like O'Rourke tweeting Bruce was the new Jamaica coach and then an hour later McClaren was announced
  13. Yeah which Molla had said previous. Why would Nixon make that up?Isn't it more likely that is what he believed or was led to believe? I mean talk about making a rod for your own back by making something like that up? Isn't that what all twitter hacks do post what they believe and have heard? Oh and I'm part of a "nixon cult" because I believe his stories are worth discussing on here when he has gotten quite a bit right this summer To be fair I'd rather be in that cult than have an irrational hatred for someone if never met.
  14. You ignored me when I replied to this last time. Nixon didnt claim Yuki as an exclusive and the "being in England for a medical" was from the fella and who did break it Molla on X.
  15. We have seen it before here the owners have sanctioned money to be spent on a young forward whilst other areas of the squad are either ignored or filled with loans so I wouldn't totally rule out a bid for Stansfield.
  16. The thing is Nixon hasn't said we will sign Stansfield He hasn't said Venkys will sanction a £6 million signing He said the club are interested and Stansfield is wanted by the manager
  17. Derby beat Boro yesterday Norwich had a decent run at home since we beat them there last season. Agreed we need more players but on the evidence of the first two league matches we look to be going in the right direction, and don't look nailed on for relegation which was a major worry throughout the summer
  18. What does he bring? It certainly isn't goals or assists
  19. I'd say if you looked at every team in the championship they will have both hits and misses like ourselves. Morton might not have looked spectacular but he started the majority of the games for both us and hull, and both clubs spent the majority of those seasons in and around the top 6
  20. Unleaded said it was El Ghazi who went to Cardiff
  21. Dembele goal and assist record is poor.Plus signing for Brum from Bournemouth you would expect him to be on good money and they will be looking for at least 2 million ,I think what Roversfan is saying we could find better value looking in the European market None of us had heard much if anything of Ohashi and Gueye were brought in and the signs are good with them.It doesn't fill me with confidence if Nixon is correct that Eustace is championing Dembele and Ruddy as preferred targets. Before you jump on me I'm not saying I think Eustace is doing a poor job, I'm happy at the moment with him but I don't agree we should be trying to sign those two players if Nixon is correct
  22. He has been here a year how many good games as he had? I wouldn't say he is shit but does the championship suit him?Signing him where he came from I'd presume he will be at the higher end wages wise and he doesn't offer enough to justify that imo.Plus he is up there with Gallagher for getting injured every 5 minutes
  23. Yeah at a similar price nothing like £40 million I know Chelsea are daft but they could have got him in January for £18.5
  24. It doesn't.Rutter had played at a higher level. Chelsea were in in January and wouldn't pay what palace did.
