  1. Quickest Academy cameo ever, that is bonkers ! Why sign in the first place, can only imagine that the family have decided to relocate back to the Netherlands 🤷‍♂️
  2. Good on them. I would really love to take the moral high ground and say, enough is enough in protest at almost everything that our club has become but then I think, if someone like me doesn’t renew a ST, then who will and I don’t want my club to die. It is a very sorry state of affairs and I am sure, a situation many on this board recognise and agonise over.
  3. A cheap ticket offer across the board, comparable to Knob End / Notlob was the only feasible option available to try and boost sales from a downtrodden and demoralised fan base that has had to endure nothing but shit for 14 years. A £30 early bird was never going to do it.
  4. Not 100% sure but I think they are all subject to VAR. if VAR thought it was clear and obvious mistake, would have advised the Referee. Looked like a penalty to me.
  5. Apologies, I didn’t realise that Goozburger still had non renewals to subtract 🙈
  6. Don’t want to be a naysayer but I would be very surprised if we have reached that number before the early bird finishes. If we have, then it will show that even the small discount and good kids prices have helped sales and that similar prices to Knob End / Notlob would still have had us at similar sales levels.
  7. I agree, we could have sold more but to use Swag’s overall revenue tactics when dismissing the Notlob / Knob End cheap tickets, we are likely to be significantly down on revenue if full price sales have declined and U12’s increased.
  8. Great option if we need a handball equaliser at the death to steal a play off place !
  9. And the family head and owner, Edwin lives in Osbaldeston but the flip side is that it hasn’t made much money for the last few years and it apparently for sale.
  10. We are desperate for cash, slashing playing budgets by 20% last year, forcing Adam W out the door to pay the bills and once again appear to have no budget for signings. Against this background, Swag takes the moral high ground and decides to forego the betting company coin and signs up the local solicitors for a small fee and a bag of revels ! Unbelievable
  11. Brilliant, had many a good night at the Windmill in the early 80’s.
  12. A reasonable point that just emphasises where this club has fallen to and of course, who is to blame for the shame of our deadline day fiascos, Swag plus Pune.
  13. I imagine it was Totally Wicked who pulled the plug rather than Swag being proactive. If it was the latter, he has failed miserably and as you say, what a damning endorsement of the lack of aspiration this bloke is driving into our club. ‘We are doing all we can’ with no pressure on the manager to achieve anything other than survival and the local jobbing solicitors as the club’s major sponsor. No wonder JDT totally despised Swag, called him out whenever the opportunity arose and bailed out of our club despite loving the Ribble Valley life and the supporters and soul of the once proud Blackburn Rovers.
  14. In ICI Perspex, we used to have a world renowned Blue Chip sponsor in the 1980’s under Bill Fox and then subsequently, McEwans Lager a leading brand of the 90’s and another brand of great local and international standing in Crown Paints. Shows just how much Swag the commercial incompetent has failed this once great club and brand.
  15. Exactly my point, the financial outlay that WR can offer will be so limited that it will hardly cover Swag’s salary nevermind significantly boosting revenues to mitigate any FFP limitations. Maybe, that is Swag’s game 🤷‍♂️
  16. I qualified my thoughts as being a guess. However, I have headed up > £100m EBITDA businesses and sponsored major sporting events and clubs at different financial levels and don’t think my guessing will be too far out from the reality.
  17. My brother is still boycotting on the NAPM basis, there are still a good few out there who would return if the incompetents left.
  18. It will be peanuts, my guess is probably less than £150k whilst most other clubs at this level would be ashamed of a main commercial deal of less than £2m per annum. It really is shameful evidence of the decline of our once great club and the incompetence of Swag and his commercial team.
  19. The death of a football club, Netflix could make a really depressing series on the destruction of a world famous institution.
  20. Nothing against Watson Ramsbottom, I’m sure that they are a fine firm of local solicitors but from a commercial and brand perspective, this really would be scraping the barrel and shows just how far this club has fallen. We are the famous Blackburn Rovers, founder members and previous Champions of the FL and EPL and yet the incompetent commercial team come up with a major shirt sponsor and financial deal more appropriate to Bamber Bridge / Clitheroe FC level. I’m obviously more concerned about what happens on the pitch but to me this is just further evidence that Swag is totally incompetent.
  21. Another young lad not prepared to give anything or show any loyalty to the club that has developed him from a young age. I can understand it but still think it is shameful to walk before signing first professional contract with the developing club.
