  1. Only if you have a willing seller, a reluctant seller can ask for whatever they want and any interested party can then make their own decisions.
  2. If a release clause was included, there would be precious little room for negotiation, meet it and he’s gone. My guess is that no such clause is in the contract.
  3. The salient point your missing is that he is effectively contracted to Rovers for another 3 years. He is paid well and was happy to sign a contract for good money and therefore, we are under no moral obligation to sell, unless it is seen to benefit Blackburn Rovers.
  4. Because we would get a fee and there will be no fee when he is out of contract.
  5. I think Siggurdson would love QPR or PAOK but a pity that he has shown next to nothing in a blue and white shirt.
  6. £1.5m for Iversen would be a steal, cracking keeper.
  7. Certainly not the quickest but seems to get in some decent positions.
  8. Every credit for coming up from Wiltshire to support our club 👏
  9. I thought he was injured and weeks away from playing football. On face of it, a good loan provided we bring replacement player in.
  10. Didn’t he go for £1m, nothing at all for a quality keeper.
  11. But Liam Delap with no EPL experience and hardly any Championship goals is worth £20m ! Sammy is from Colchester, Essex not Ipswich, even Suffolk, although admittedly not too far away.
  12. I think he probably wants a move, he’s played very little football since joining for one reason or another and has shown very little after the first couple of appearances. I think if he goes it will probably be back to Scandinavia or some low level Spanish / Italian side for a pretty small fee. Has ability but little pace and no real grit / determination.
  13. Whilst I can begrudgingly understand the not risking him in the pre season matches and Sammy’s desire for an EPL move, I simply don’t understand the training away from the squad etc ! He is getting paid handsomely to play for Blackburn Rovers and is contracted for another 2+1 years and whilst he is, he needs to be on the pitch and giving 100%.
  14. Anticipation of that first match of a new season is a feeling that should be full of excitement and expectation. I’ll be at Ewood tonight but with no anticipation, excitement or expectation just fulfilling my duty as a Rovers fan, this thanks to the Pune lunatics and the Swag / Suhail axis of evil.
  15. Strange one as we actually paid money for him and he has plenty of appearances at Crewe. A pal of mine, big Newport County fan and very knowledgeable text me when we signed this lad to say we had a good one, had watched him against County twice and said he was outstanding.
  16. Was it ‘ can I have my £30k back’ ?
  17. He is the CEO and the COO level reports into a CEO on operational matters. However, we know that isn’t the case at Ewood, Waggott is Suhail / owner’s patsy ! Even at 70, he seems happy to stay away all week from his family in Kent and pick up his easy £300k, whilst our once proud clubs continues to burn.
  18. I’ve just watched it, in full and it is just nauseating. The tame questions allowing him to spin total crap, does he really think we will believe that wages costs have risen when all the big earners have been cleared out ! I am just looking to the day when someone, somewhere, from whatever publication or body asks the proper questions that need answering starting off with ‘what has improved in 14 years of this ownership’ and compare / contrast the condition of BRFC pre and post Venkys.
  19. As someone else on the board posted recently, the pertinent question is ‘name one thing that has got better in this last 14 years’ ?
  20. I suppose it is some progress, forcing Suhail out of the shadows and letting him know that the heat is coming. In two weeks time we have the Court case and subject to the outcome, that is the time for proper action.
  21. Bloody hell, to see it in black and white is brutal, over 9 years this chap has been ruining our club and lurking in the shadows 😡
  22. Think the Dutch won European U21’s and he was the top scorer in the tournament. Worth a punt at the time, he had plenty of other options and difficult to understand what happened to him after coming to Rovers and don’t think he ever had a proper career thereafter.
  23. To be fair, Hoilett was a tricky player but wasn’t actually that quick beyond the first few yards. Like Dolan, low centre of gravity but short legs.
