I want Luton, feel hard done by both Coventry and Boro results at Ewood and just couldn’t stomach seeing Mowbray take a team up after his 5 year ‘journey’ with no end at Ewood. Worst thing is, I think we would have been promoted if we had made it last Monday. We were playing well and our luck surely had to turn, they say it evens out 🙈

I found it hard watching today, knowing it should have been us in the play offs and remembering the Teeside Curmudgeon’s lack of emotion and interest these last few seasons 😡

No doubt assisted by being awarded 8 & 7 penalties respectively and of course, a goal scoring keeper. In contrast, only Huddersfield were awarded less than our 2 spot kicks, one of which was after we had already scored a goal. We aren’t a lucky team 🙈

It’s a fair point. I really like JDT and I think that everyone would have taken the seventh place finish and good cup runs prior to a ball being kicked in August. However, despite playing well in most of the late games, we blew it on the pitch. Off the pitch, the inexcusable failure in January failed the manager and ultimately, cost us a play off place. If we lose the manager, I think we have a right problem. Back him and I think that we will be a better team next season.

Only if we keep, and back, the manager. Lose him and I think our club, nevermind team, could be in free fall.

With regard to the Preston forum comments, it is a bit like if we are winning at 90 minutes and Sunderland are three up and the Baggies losing. I would rather see another goal and if the Teeside curmudgeon could raise a smug smile, it be well and truly wiped off.

As per previous posts, when Thomas was starting we won lost matches. Out of the team, 5 from 24 and no wins 🤷‍♂️

Yep, I was there. They didn’t take too kindly to getting beat and was quite menacing as they were on pitch heading towards us and coins being chucked in our direction.

We were thinking similar in 87/88 when we went there and won 1:4 to make the play offs. Admittedly, lighting doesn’t usually strike twice down Deptford way.

I don’t know about his fitness but if for enough for the bench, I think his very limited use these last few weeks has been a big error.
