  1. Not buying that. Extending deals for non-playing players, who aren’t up to standard, undermines the pauper approach.
  2. So you’re saying stick with a failing HSH because we might get a different one? Hell, get the list of their clients up and let’s have a look! At this point agents have ruined the game and they are all in bed with each other anyway.
  3. A life lesson for young Benjamin.
  4. Completely agree. At first I though definite yellow but after the replay it showed he definitely reacted and launched in to make the foul, not to play the ball. The intent changed the colour for me. But again, Brereton has just had two games where he started to finally look as though he had something about him - at least in patches and he needs some consistency - next minute he’s benched in favour of rotation to give Samuel a turn. How on earth is the lad going to develop (let alone develop enough to pay back the investment) if, one, he doesn’t get a decent run of games to develop some form and, two, he gets played anywhere but where he could be effective? A petulant foul born out of frustration?
  5. Which is why those who have stuck by through this Venkys shit-show are starting to lose interest. It’s a more ‘pleasant’ version of the Kean situation. A kick in the teeth but with a Werthers Original to suck on.
  6. Neil Yardley trying to say Chapman’s slide-block was worse than Brereton’s petulant Jack-job.
  7. No partisan crowd to blame. Just...man for man... not as good as Barnsley. Damning.
  8. Was talking about his sending off.
  9. Get them season tickets on sale! Battered by Barnsley. ??‍♂️
  10. Great co-commentary at 2-0 down after 10 men: ”If Rovers are going to win this game, they’ve got everything to do” Only Brereton to blame for that one I’m afraid.
  11. It was a petulant tackle, 100% a yellow but really unnecessary. He’s got a red for the intent. And now 2. Get lost Mowbray.
  12. I can’t believe after two full seasons in the Championship we still have such a woefully unbalanced and quality-lacking squad.
  13. Looks like Mowbray is doing a crossword!
  14. Make some bloody subs Mowbray!!
  15. Thank goodness Barnsley players have started tackling each other!
  16. Worst thing is, he could lose every game between now and the end and he’s going nowhere.
  17. Hard to tell which of these two sides is in the relegation places and which has (had) an whiff of the play-offs.
  18. I’m not being funny either. If you were trained for nothing else and the company you worked for was on the brink of a deal or a project that the difference between being there and not being there could mean you company loses the business then doesn’t that make it more important? If the answer is ‘bollocks, I’m not missing this moment’ then there should be no complaints when his colleagues lose their jobs. Sadly, players have no need to be loyal to their clubs so they genuinely don’t care, let alone make any sacrifice.
  19. Ostrich mentality if you think we don’t need promotion.
  20. The squad is already paper thin and it’s last chance saloon. Missing a game in October, or even February probably not an issue. Missing one at this stage, it’s football suicide. But as I’ve said, Lenihan can simply leave if his absence costs us - and probably will.
  21. Not at all. Barnsley away again this stage is a must win game in a season close to the play off places. If we don’t win tonight, we may as well start preparing for next season in the Championship again. We probably already have. The trouble is, as many clubs have found out in the past, finishing 7th or 8th can mean relegation the season after. If you don’t want to face that then stop replying to my posts.
  22. Who would buy a season ticket right now? No idea when we can return and being asked to give your money to a club that will hand it straight to Smallwood and Sam Hart.
