I was logged in fine and then it logged out and now won’t let me sign in. Fucking useless. -

Bennett shouldn’t be in the team, and definitely not at full back. No need to find reasons to justify it. -

Normal service is resumed. Bennett is Mowbray’s version of Andrews under Ince and Lowe under Bowyer. Clearly not good enough but is “the manager’s man”. This is the kind of thing that ruins dressing rooms. Ince and Bowyer got the chop. Mowbray never will. -

I think iFollow is new to all of us. It has largely been used by overseas fans as UK fans tend not to have access to (legitimate) live streams. Maybe @philipl or @perthblue02 can help? -
The way Rovers have set out their ‘Restart’ stall, rather than a straightforward and automatically sympathetic process, people are likely to have to ‘beg’ for their money back. The club should not be treating fans with as dismissively as they are anyway but they certainly should not be taking their dignity away as well. They should be concerned that anyone who has to go through the shame of phoning the club and explaining that they’ve fallen on hard times will never want to come back.

Or have a more competitive cup competition for 1 season. Also, do not allow those clubs to put their U23 teams in it and devalue yet another cup. Clubs playing in Europe don’t value the league cup anyway. The only thing they do is bring in crowds at L2 grounds or provide a memorable away day if the stars align. How about we get back to L2 teams having more self respect and fighting to get to the later rounds rather than the self-pity of having the bingo number come up - literally and figuratively. -

Awesome. I’m not a fan of the cut outs but it’s a great gesture by the site. -
Yeah, not really the same thing. One was an attempt to end lockdown, the other an attempt to avoid bloated football clubs losing money. We aren’t going to agree on this so it’s probably best just to drop it.

January transfer window 2020

It certainly would have been news if he hadn’t started until the end of the season. The only thing worse than having Walton as our number one is the prospect that next season’s number one will be worse. At any club with ambitions of promotion he’d be a number two. -
Not what I meant pb. We can’t even buy iFollow passes to watch the play-offs. Back to exclusivity. Is anyone going to buy a Sky subscription to watch one match? With any luck it’ll be on in the pub by then. Hope Fulham beat Bristol City.

Only if you are a ST holder and don’t want to pay £10 per game.

It would be complete over-saturation in my view. The only change I’d want (selfishly) would be being able to watch away games for Rovers. You would think the genie is out of the bottle now. Every game will probably be available for £10 per match and 3pm would no longer be sacrosanct. Too expensive in my view. The going rate for streaming is £6-£10 per month - unless one views football like PPV boxing. But the spectacle of professional football really is being there live in the ground. It’s a bug, a social habit, with genuine elation and joy, and stress and misery, shared with people from your town/city. There is nothing like it. Fans aren’t background noise as Sky would have you believe, they are the heartbeat of a football ground. -
No shizzle? Testing people reduces risk? Maybe they should be testing school kids so they can get an education and their parents can go to work. Oh wait, there’s no money in that! Anyway, great news that football is back with a bang. Or a nil-nil with a error from the officials.
-
So footballers are safe because of testing, you say? Hmm. ?
-
I just find it bizarre that despite people still working from home and teaching unions still insisting kids are not safe to go back to school that nobody else is really taking this pandemic seriously anymore - including football. The protests, and the lack of any real coverage anymore of the impact, have made people feel like they are immune.
-
I’m finding it strange how the narrative has changed completely. It’s almost as though these positive tests are matter-of-fact, nothing to see here, and everyone carries on regardless with their only focus being to finish the season (at all costs). Has the virus burned itself out but we are all just being kept in the dark - or is there still an ongoing threat to life?

Exactly! -
This just sounds dodgier and dodgier. Just when you think think they can’t stoop any lower. I guess this deadline will just add to the number of people out of pocket and demanding refunds and/or not renewing in future. “Stick with us through these unprecedented times” even though we won’t stick with you.

If Mulgrew is currently one of the best XI players in our squad then Mowbray needs sacking. -

May as well play you or me at left back by that logic. We’ll never know if it’s the wrong thing unless it happens. Then we can talk about the power of hindsight. Mulgrew was great for this club but should be nowhere near our first team at this stage.
