  1. Should be at least 3-0 by now. Annoying to concede the first goal.
  2. Makes you wonder if officials are involved in the PL and then referee or line in a Championship game. They might be inclined to keep their flag down and wait for VAR. After a while it will become automatic.
  3. Dack basically saying Armstrong is a number 9. Shame he plays for a manager who doesn’t believe in them!
  4. He’s more entertaining than the game! Had to laugh at him saying Brereton and Travis “aren’t the brightest tools in the box”. ??‍♂️
  5. Agree with this but no way will Rovers do this. Away fans are more important than home fans to the current regime. More of a concern will be how everyone is accommodated with social distancing in the busier areas like the family stand and BBE. A complete reset on ST seats, or just shunt everyone across and down? People who have had a seat for years won’t be very happy.
  6. 5 months? 5 minutes would be good!
  7. The manager is responsible for everything. That’s why it is such a difficult and short term job. Sadly the positives (plural?) you mention are far outweighed by the negatives. At any other club, Mowbray would have been already replaced by now. Instead we are now his longest ever managerial gig and he is the longest serving manager in the division.
  8. You don’t think our lack of goalkeeper and shipping goals - 2 even in a game we won - is one of our main negatives too? Our awful tactics? Persevering with playing players out of position game after game? And the root cause of both that and your main negative is...?
  9. I was joking of course. Neil is far more partisan!! But in fairness, I found myself wondering if it was just some regular punter shouting from the side lines: “dick ‘ed” They don’t train ‘em like they used to!
  10. Really hope to see Butterworth in the first team. He certainly has the desire. I just hope his injury doesn’t have any lasting effects.
  11. I was just going to say similar. Our best XI is decent but it is ageing. What I don’t understand is we play a certain way when Graham is on the pitch and it’s usually more successful. So why on earth hasn’t he been laying down the gauntlet to Gallagher or Brereton to be his long term replacement and get them doing in training what Graham does (or did over his time here) on the pitch? Mowbray seems to have the idea that you have to chop and change the system depending on who you play instead of having a style of play and getting the players to be brilliant at it - and we are regularly found out. Case in point: Bennett should be understudy to Johnson in the middle and a utility player to cover injuries. He should not be starting at left back. Under any circumstances. A development player should be called up - it’s not like they are completely useless. The folly of Bennett as captain must be lost on him. The personification of “Jack of all trades; Master of none” - that could be the title of Mowbray’s tactical handbook.
  12. Sounds like a yarkshire version of Neil Yardley.
  13. I don’t think it’s as much pressure on the team but caution from the manager. When we really need a win we play a defensive approach, odd personnel, and never get going in games. Being kind, I think he overthinks his tactics to try to counter the opposition strengths. When there is no need to any caution (in the manager’s eyes) we play with much more freedoms. Rovers always look good when we play to our own strengths and look to hurt teams. Yes, we may win 3-2 but it’s better than losing but conceding less. What I don’t understand is when we are safe from relegation - the first priority - why we don’t go for it. This is something Hughes made a point of (and I think Souness too). Get to the magic number and then go and play football like you want to win. It all starts with a balanced team though. I use hope Mowbray has learned his lesson and we’ve seen the last time that Bennett starts. But I feel like I’ve said this before and he goes right back to his preferred list and we perform poorly again.
  14. I said the exact same to my lad during the game. Would certainly lead by example.
  15. There was definitely fire in a few bellies tonight - particularly Travis and Armstrong. Maybe the thought of not having Brereton in the side for a couple of games. No way would he have followed in the shit that Graham did. As is always the case with Mowbray, it’s not why happened tonight but what he does next. My money is on him picking another Tombola side as soon as he can.
  16. Far better tonight - more so in the second half. We looked a far different prospect with a decent left back and without the two duds out wide. Big evening for Derby that.
  17. We’ve looked so much more balanced with JRC at left back. Let’s hope Cardiff haven’t been doing their homework.
  18. Guessing when the ball was played he was running in from an onside position. Pleased for Graham.
