Predictable because he is right RTM. Your posts are beginning to irritate again. Time to use the 'ignore' function once more.

[Archived] Pathetic Attendance

I bought my ticket for last nights match but could'nt go because I have the mother of all colds. I actually rang all my Rovers supporting mates offering them my ticket plus a free car park place for nothing. Every one of them preferred to watch on television. I give in. -

I'll go for a 1-1 draw. -
I enjoy anything by Wilbur Smith. Usually very thick books that keepyou entertained for a long time. Most of them are about the development of Africa through the eyes of two families. They are well written and historically factual in terms of the politics and warring factions. The stories are interesting and descriptive but maybe a little bloodthirsty in places.

Gray probably and Neill definitely. Robben switched from left to right because he knew he had the beating of him. The lad tries hard but he is just not good enough for the Premiership. Maybe you watched a different game from me.

[Archived] Ticket Office Telephone Bookings
Al replied to ace's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
My ticket, along with the tickets for the two European matches had been lost in the post and, because of the long queue on the 'phone I had to go to the ground to get my replacement on the day. I asked the nice lady in the ticket office if I would have to repeat the operation twice more for the European matches. Well eventually she took pity on me and gave me the number of her direct line without going through the normal procedure. No more long calls for me and no way am I disclosing the number to anyone else. -
Sorry Tris but I can't agree with you. Robben had him on a butty. My heart was in my mouth every time he had the ball. Beat him every time and too easily too. McEverley is not and never will be Premiership quality.

[Archived] Ticket Office Telephone Bookings

I ordered my tickets for tonights match and the two European matches well over a week ago and when they had not arrived last Friday I rang the ticket office. They told me that they could not issue duplicates until the day of the match and to ring them today and they would have the duplicate waiting at the cabin for me to pick up tonight. I just rang and found that I was 60th in the queue. Stuff that! Now I am going to have to drive to the ground to sort it out and I'll probably have to do it twice more for the European games. What sort of service is that? I've also been charged an extra £2 for using my debit card! I'm not best pleased. -

I'll go for a 1-0 win for Rovers.

I don't mind cheaper tickets to fill the ground as long as the season ticket holders get some reward for their loyalty. Three cup matches for £32 will do for me. Thank you Rovers. There is a but though. Why the hell do I have to pay £2 for using my debit card? We all know that there is a charge to the seller for a credit card but not so for a debit card. It just takes the icing off the offer a bit.

My worst experience was at Wembley stadium. Two hours with my shins up against the sharp edge of the plastic seat in front of me with my knees in my earholes. It's a wonder I didn't get deep vein thrombosis. Easyjet is a doddle after that! Apart from that I needed a mortgage to buy a coke and a hot dog. Thank god they knocked the place down.

Season ticket holders ARE special. They make a comittment before the season has started. Many of them cannot afford to pay all at once so they opt for the direct debit system. Their money helps pay for transfer fees in the close season. They have a right to be treated better than the 'walk on' supporter who can choose to stay away if things are not going well. The despicable 'pub' supporter is not a supporter at all and should not be thought of as such. I do however excuse supporters who live too far away to attend all the matches from the above.

Forget it. The Riverside is the best view on the ground and needs to be kept for the supporters who want to watch the game. -
I must say Marv. that I respect any fan who sticks with his/her home town team through thick and thin much more than the glory hunters who support Man U./Arsenal/Chelsea etc, and have never been to their grounds. Rovers too have had their downs but I have stuck with them for over 55 years.
