  1. Defeat to Birmingham is totally unaceptable. On this performance we will lose our remaining games and be completely out of it. Pathetic!
  2. I saw Duggie and Shearer play more than 100 games together for Rovers and they really were magical. 391477[/snapback] Yes Jim I sometimes dream too. I wish it was real!
  3. WONDERFUL! Takes me back years to that wonderful era when Duggie was king. I'm drunk with nostalgia and will be in a blissful mood for the rest of the day. Thanks Paul for this great new forum.
  4. Not much to add except that Villa's dominance was all in the air. They have a big team and we never won the high balls until Brett and Axe came on. After that we coped much better and looked a lot less likely to concede. Brett looked a lot stronger than the rest of the midfield.
  5. Since we play so few home games on a Saturday afternoon it probably won't make much difference. I may go down myself when Rovers don't have a game.
  6. He certainly doesn't excite me at the moment but given more experience he may improve. Just a reasonable prospect in my opinion.
  7. Where's this place where you get a lot of steak? Do they do a decent Shiraz to go with it?
  8. M65-M61-M60 becomes M62. A bit further around but not much.
  9. Yea, that's a real reward for loyalty isn't it. Do you want to drive more people away? 10/10 for a different approach but loyal fans feel hard enough done by already.
  10. All good accountants work in pencil or on Excel.
  11. Sorry but do not believe him to be an asset. He has no ball control and too often just gives the ball away because of his clumsiness. He also frustrates the hell out of Bellamy due to his lack of vision and total inability to play the return pass.
  12. The Bay Horse in Baxenden serves a cracking pint of Thwaites Cask.
  13. Some great players there Jim. I would go for Roy Vernon as the best. A great all time favourite of mine.
  14. Superb game, Argies deserved a draw. Crouch is not international class. Forget him.
  15. So it is not a criminal offence then? But BskyB could sue in a civil court. Hardly worth their while then against a pub landlord with limited funds I would think.
  16. Take nothing for granted. Charlton are still a good team. Hopefully we are better.
  17. No 1 match ban would have been correct for a 'professional foul'. A 3 match ban is for 'violent conduct'. LET were right.
  18. No it's not. Just watch any jumper in the Athletics arena. Wether it be long jump or high jump they all lift their elbows to gain extra leverage and extra height. It just comes naturally.
  19. Serves you right. I told you they were intelligent. They know the enemy when they see it. Just wait till Oddie really gets them organised. Remember Hitchcock's 'The birds'? They have nothing on the squirrels when roused!
  20. I'd much rather have the cute squirrels around than the birds crapping all over my newly polished car, not to mention my head. Oddie's gonna get you!
  21. Squirrels, red or grey, are very intelligent, fascinating to watch and a whole lot cuter than any of you lot. Leave the poor little sods alone or better still leave some peanuts for them to eat. I'll have Bill Oddie on to you shower if your not careful.
  22. The brother of Paul Round who played briefly for Rovers is called Shaun Round.
  23. You're not trying pal. Football is a lot more difficult to understand. Ever tried explaining the offside rule to a non football fan. Apart from learning the field placings cricket is a pretty simple game really. You defend your wicket and try to knock the ball far enough to run 22 yards before it is retrieved.
  24. Congratulations Wez. A whole post without a single 'lol'
