  1. Yes it was a failure but the bloke wanted out after being sold a pup. It should of ended several weeks before
  2. Of course it is. It was Waggot's season objective at the beginning of the season!!!
  3. If he'd have been in charge for the Stoke game is all the extra time he needed we would have lost that so that would have put us in the bottom three so my point is still valid. I knwo Chaddy will say he was in charge but his wonderful coaching had not had time to take effect.
  4. To be fair, when you're bottom of the table all you can do is look up the table so with a little bit more time Eustace would achieve this
  5. Granted there were times when it was a back three, and at least once a back two with Carter appearing in the forward line. But other times especially with Trondstat on the field we were a back six. But when we attacked the only player looking to break their two lines of defence was Ayari who tried to pass forward evertime he received the ball. The majority of the ball was side ways and backwards on front of their defence. When they went down to 10 men there should have been a statement of intent by bringing an attacking player on but he brought a defender for a defender and a midfielder for a midfielder. The crowd
  6. Agree with most but keeping five at the back tells you Eustace doen't have the ambition to score goals
  7. All we can do is hope for a repeat of the lasttime Argyle played a final game in this division at Home Park. The away team winning to make the play offs. I wonder which team did that?
  8. Personally I'd have put JRC to right back and a centre half off and brought Ayari and Telavoic on. There was no need for 5 at the back and with Coventry not looking like getting out their half there was an argument that there was no need for 4 at the back. Of course it was negative
  9. His philosophies sound ideal for Rovers but Im afraid it'll never happen. Its a great listen especially if you own a football club and live in Pune
  10. After what Ive seen this season I expect Hyam to be first at the door asking for a transfer if we go down or stay up. Teams will be looking at Carter so Id expect him to leave especially if we go down. With Wharton out injured and McFad's contract up that leaves us with O'Riorden. That leaves three/four spaces which Id expect that at least two of those will be filled by players from the junior squads that will mean recruitment needed for one space probably two
  11. You are correct and if we had bought him as well as bringing in first team ready strikers at the same time then I'd agree with you but we didnt. He was thrown in not in the deep end but into the middle of ocean and it appears to have swallowed him. In Janurary he should have been sent out on loan but again we kept him as a first team player, which this season has been a disaster.
  12. Fair point but if your entire business model is based on developing youth and selling for profit then your plan is badly flawed and doomed to failure so yes the club is to blame for the situation.
  13. Agreeing to such a small a release clause as 2 mill even when Philips signed pro was asking for premiership clubs to plunder.
  14. In the end the club had little choice regarding the sale of Phillips because of the poor way they dealt with his transition to being professional. The court case was a nicely timed coincidence to allow the sale of Wharton without many questions. He'd have been sold without the court case as the club had let it be known what their valuation was.
  15. Fine in theory but to be replaced by? Thats a problem, we have no replacements
  16. Odd when you also see that weve apparently got a Sheff Wed supporter for the Leeds game
  17. You have a point but likewise the pro JDT supporters need to look at his record prior to going. We know there were reasons. Eustace inherited a poor squad so he has a ready made excuse. BOTH managers records in 2024 is nothing short of abysmal. On those records alone both managers should be binned.
  18. He is probably right until the latest problem from India means all cash is used to survive
  19. Until the subs that backfired badly, trying to shut up shop when everyone knows we couldnt do that under JDT
  20. I actually think that the one that would possibly be suited is JRC if he could stay fit
