  1. Gueye was easily Rovers' MOM and he did a lot more in the game but they both did little except scoring.
  2. Rhodes cost more than Brittain and Hyam combined. Plus how much did Murphy, Best and Etuhu cost, considering wages etc and Dack arriving in the First Division. I agree that they have resisted paying out generally but there are more than the two periods you mention when money has been forthcoming.
  3. If improving was the case the first 11 would become the squad fillers
  4. Sneak Forshaw's name out for this week then the week after next Tyler Morton signs. Morton doesn't seem as bad an option then compared to Forshaw
  5. I'd give NHS Direct a call! Im afraid no repeat of last year's miracle Leeds 2-Rovers 0
  6. Im sure Rovers played that season at St James with Newcastle managed by Ardiles mid week and the gate was 8,500 although it could have been the season before
  7. It wasn't last season but we did it anyway
  8. What the las two games have shown is that Beck can be caught out of position as he likes to get forward and that there is no understanding or pace of the player, Hedges or Dolan, to offer protection to the left back. Pickering at LB allows Beck to provide cover as he has both the pace and the understanding to help protect that left flank. Pickering is also good at playing slightly more central where his lack of pace is not exposed as much.
  9. And like Bennett before him, these types of player can be picked up quite easily. I agree that squads need this type of player but under no circumstances should they be a priority in contract talks.
  10. Easy to do when you know the answer is 0 and he will try absolve himself of any blame if the wheels come off
  11. Rubbish, look at the stats, 2 assists in the game. He saw Beck unmarked and laid it on a plate. Well thats the sale platter Waggot will use as an extra £500, 000 is added to his sales price. 😀
  12. Was it Matt Smith's party sat in Jack's box?
  13. Cant see him changing formation. Worried about this one to be honest, Luton are a team who are more aggressive than previous opponents. 1-1
  14. Evidence from the beginning of this season would suggest otherwise. He was poor when he started the first few games there. JRC best is playing the inverted full back role drifting into midfield rather than the up and down the wing full back that Eustace prefers.
  15. You must have rotten guts then, I suggest a doctors or a bookies for those two goalscorers
  16. agent fees and loan fees would be my guess
  17. I think Baker will be the one selected in place of Travis. I think people are over thinking JRC. It is quite simple. He is not good enough to play in a midfield two as his positional sense is not good enough nor he is good enough to play as an out and out full back for the same reason. What he is good at is playing at right back who can drift inside and play through midfield as an midfield overload but the risk there is he gets caught of position. JDT exploited this but at the risk when the attack phase broke down he was out of position but Eustace prefers his defenders to keep to a tight system. The only place I see JRC playing is in forward three as that can drift into spaces.
  18. A couple of points 1. How can you compare Trondstat with Atkins? Atkins scored goals where people will have chats about where you there when Trondstat scored? 2. The season before we won the title Batty was the best midfielder in the country, he was never the same player after the injury he had
  19. Thats Hyam's problem though, everything he does is slow......even getting onside last night
  20. Last night's goal is karma plus interest for last season Didnt Lee Crooks score at Ewood last season when in an off side position?
  21. The performance of several of the brighter stars of our Academy on loan this season suggests it may not only Rigger who feels this. How many are playing regularly at the moment?
  22. Danny Graham scored the team goal at Derby
  23. To play that system the one thing required is just one of the thing we lack..........pace. The width both offensively and in defence comes from the wingbacks means they need to get up and down the wings quickly. The back three has just lost a race against a snail. If I was going to play 3 at the back, it would be 3-5-2 or even 3-6-1 with Pickering rather than MacFazdean in the left defender position, and Cantwell the freedom of the park. I know Im going to villifed for this but I'd also use Hedges at RWB as I feel his best games for Rovers in this position
  24. I know this might hurt but didn't we beat Stoke in Eustace's first game playing from the Darwen End first. I seem to remember Ennis scoring in the Blackburn End as a consolation but cannot remember if it was first or second half?
