  1. Kevin was the first player I had a photo with when i got my first kit. Thoughts are for his family. RIP
  2. I thought each club have to declare a squad of 25 players so why do clubs need more? If they had a squad of 25 first team and a additional 15 under 23s then the above cannot happen. It is ridiculous that Chelsea could loan out players and that its longest serving players have never made a first team appearence.
  3. Because after 60 minutes we drop further and further then try and fail at defending our 18 yard line. This usually concludes in us conceding at least one goal.
  4. But Don Mackey always tried...Archibald, Ardiles, Stapleton and the best of the lot Kevin Moran. You dont know unless you try. I'm no fan of Mowbray but contrary to the belief he is looking at different avenues
  5. Hardly call the 3 players mentioned as Harrods...more like Sainsburys
  6. Looking at the photo a few pages back, could we be on for somthing like this but with orange badge and flashes.
  7. If you going to spell a team wrong, better not your own!!! There are several fire sales looking at those wage bills compared to Championship turnovers
  8. On Sam Gallagher, I agree that we should be ahead of Wigan if it is a choice between the two. I also suspect if we really wanted him that the deal would have been done. He strikes me as bang average for this division so I could take him or leave him. On Dann, I think we are panicking over centre halves so anybody who is available is going to be linked. Personally rather have Hanley than Dann but not much in them.
  9. Our CEO saying similar budget to last year is the only evidence
  10. Raya seemed to get dropped after the meeting between Mowbray and the keepers last season where it was alleged he told them another keeper would be coming. I think Raya must of taken exception to it and the rest is now history. Would explain why Letwiller played the last few games of the season
  11. I wouldn't say he bullies them but he does seem to criticise them personally. Remember he has form, he banished Travis for 12 months for a stupid sending off, Nyambe seemed to get dropped everytime he made a mistake.
  12. My take on the Raya situation is that there was mistakes from him and many wanted to replace him. There was a meeting between the keepers and Mowbray and I don't think Raya accepted it and as a result dropped in favour of Leuwiller. This forced Mowbray's hand. Brentford's interest in Raya added to this and a parting of the ways was inevitable. Downing's arrival concerns me a little. we've had our finger's burnt with players after one last pay day but time will tell. Many of the so called experts on here cried we wanted experience in midfield to compliment Travis. Well here comes Bradley Johnson and the same so called experts are now sayiing he is over the hill. Many have pointed out defence is a major concern and yes if I was Mowbray it would have been the first point I'd have addressed but I still think the issues is Mowbray's tactical ideas rather than personnel. I'm a big critic of Mowbray but I can't be critical of his signings so far although there is concern for the signings not made yet but there is still time.
  13. Like all boats with chests of gold it was robbed by pirates, this one by a pirate with initials JA l
  14. The problem was that we were pushing for Europe under Hughes before Ince came. The fans were expecting us to push on, then along came Ince our stars rebelled and they were replaced with Andrews and an even worse Robbie Fowler. Andrews was never going to be liked. If Allerdyce had signed him later on the season, Andrews would never have had the same level of abuse.
  15. I think that must be the idiot who sits behind me. He knows Jack Sh*t as well. He also thinks that Smallwood is the best player at the club.
  16. Thats fine but he has to be clinically diagnosed as having depression. Then his employer has to be seen to be helping through that stage of depression and keeping open channels of communication between the two parties. i never saw the programme so do not know if this was shown but from what Ive read neither side covered themselves in glory. Rodwell is well within his rights to say he has to stay close to look at all his options but likewise if he had an intentions of resigning the least he could be doing is coming into Brockhall regularly not having an extended holiday. I wanted to keep him but now the evidence is that he does not give two hoots about the club so we should be saying thanks but no thanks
