  1. To be honest I have to disagree in the fact one of my main complaints in the past was that he used to back track too far looking for the ball and would be in midfield or defence when midfield or defence were looking for an out ball Simple reason is that neither Gallagher or Hirst can hold the ball like Danny Graham. Im presuming that Hirst would be the extra body in midfield because as others have said we are already over run in midfield with two in there.
  2. To be honest, to me Dack still does not physically fit enough. Ive said it before but before his injuries he looked unfit and he still does. Still play him over Szmodics though
  3. I was on about the Huddersfield game mentioned earlier for Saxtons last game. The Coventry game was the Flowers' sending off
  4. Bobby Saxton's last game in charge Wasn't Flowers sent off as a non-playing sub?
  5. Just listened to this week's Undr the Cosh with David Hillier. He talks about pinching a bag with Ex-Rover Wayne Burnett.
  6. No we didnt that year...we got Speedie when Lineker turned us down. Speedie alos said he wouldnt sign if we signed Rosenthal
  7. I'd rest Gally for this but who has scored more since Hedges has been here Gally or Hedges. If Gally plays down the middle he will grab a goal if played wide he wont.
  8. I think better examples were Geoff Thomas where Walker overuled Dalglish or Zidane where he over ruled Harford/ I was under the impression that Hodgson wanted Davies, but as an up and coming player and was not consulted on the deal and was as shocked as everyone else when we paid the fee we paid.
  9. I think it was who you believed. Some said 5 mill others said 2.5 mill with add ons
  10. Kill joy.......youve spoiled my journey home, Ive not got that far yet. 😀
  11. It is none other than the one of the presenters of the Undr the Cosh podcasts......Chris Brown
  12. Disagree. Used to say that if ever a player should be used as a Specialist player in American Football then Carsley was it. If you could bring him on for penalties then take off him straight after then he would have been great. Other than that average at best.
  13. Luton possibly the worst team for us to play next. The games we've lost are when we've been bullied out of the game. Nathan Jones and his teams are bullies. Rovers looked more physical on Tuesday so hopefully we dont get bullied here.
  14. Went with Keith Hill to Plymouth when we signed Nicky Marker.
  15. Listen to Michael Grey on Under the Cosh podcast tell the Dwight Yorke v SOuness training story.
  16. I cant comment about Burns having not seen him but all Im saying against curtain teams a headless chicken upfront can be effective. Oddly a large number of Rovers fans seem to prefer this type of player compared to a more skilled one who chooses how they spend their energy.
  17. To be fair Dolan playing as a false 9 can work well when applying high press. Times last season Dolan being the front man meant his high energy meant he chased down everything from pass backs to teams playing across the back four. When Buckley played as the link play between midfield and forward who also chased down meant we recovered the ball higher up the pitch. The problem is with Dolan is what he did once he gets the ball or when we are playing from the back. He cant hold the ball or have the ability to win a free kick
  18. Didnt Natalie do the kit thing on Soccer AM....shame it was a Brentford kit.
  19. Delap was No.17. Why would he be disappointed? He occupied both central defenders most of the game allowing others space, especially in the first half. He was key to their first half performance which should have them 3 or 4 up ay half time.
  20. Just bear in mind........Paul Ince won his first away game 4-0 Lets not get carried away
