  1. I was using JH Rovers figures to maintain a constant. I unlike many on here dont claim to be in the know on wages. I agree they all would like parity with top earners but some have to realise that this is not a factory where all on the same payscale.
  2. I agree in theory with what you say and you are probably in the ball park. But on the other side of it is that Rovers, using your figures, could be offering £8,000/week for Nyambe but his agent could be looking for things such as image rights, loyalty bonus or signing on fees which maybe the difference in the two parties.
  3. Stop being silly. my mum's best mate's brother in law has just done some work for him. He bought Ray Wilkins' old pad in Wilpshire
  4. Actually think the new system we play doesn't help Nyambe. As many point out his final ball isn't the greatest maybe wing back doesn't suit his style but as Tyronne points out his heading ability limits his chances as the Right side of the three. I actually think you'd see a better final ball from Nyambe if we got a greater number in the box so yes a better team may help him improve him.
  5. It wasn't just when he wasn't playing. Even when he was playing and playing well. He would be the one sacrificed and players moved. Remember even Sam Gallagher got switched there instead of him.
  6. I'm glad to hear your pro-Lancs but I keep my bitching when you do.
  7. If that was the case surely Everton would have bought him rather than the Rangers Full back. I havent seen the ex-Rangers player so dont know if it is a true reflection but I'm also unaware of his Championship experience which is what I asked.
  8. Dont know that. He never stays fit long enough for many of us to get a true judgement. Isnt he another Manchester schoolboy that you dont have a high regard for?
  9. He may of only signed Caddis but how many other players have played at Right Back? Last season he played an ageing player who only played as he was club captain there instead of Nyambe. Rankin-Costello played there until he broke his toe last season as well so I think there is history there. Ive sat behind Mowbray several times and the way he used to whinge at Nyambe was unbelievable. All this whilst Nyambe's contract negotiations are on going so Im not surprised he hasnt signed.
  10. I dont see many Championship Full Backs going for £3 million especially with so little contract. £3 million is a good return if true.
  11. IMO if JRC had stayed fit I dont think Nyambe would have played this season, so I still think that its beyond coincidence that two of the three are players that many on here feel that Mowbray used as scapegoats in previous seasons. Damage already done.
  12. £3million for someone walking for free in a couple of months is not a joke. A shame yes.
  13. Waiting for Nyambe signing for Leeds to announce his replacement. The king is dead long live the king
  14. Not sure, he always struck me as a player who was always better when he wasn't playing. At least he could fill Corry Evans spot in the t...........reatment room!!
  15. With his once a week presenting gig at Talksport and coaching at Arsenal, Id be surprised he is seriously looking. If a London club is desperate enough then I think he may try to play.
  16. I'm not saying it worked all the time. As previous seasons have proved Mowbray's teams have one way of playing only, whether that's this season's style, last season's possession bore or playing off Danny Graham. I much prefer this season's efforts but as I've said earlier there are times when things aren't going to plan. A more direct style where we can by pass midfield and get to the front men can be effective late on in games. For that to be effective we need someone who is comfortable with their back to goal like a Graham in his prime. The ability to mix things up is an ability that we could help us over the line.
  17. Same was said when we signed Danny Graham. He could hold the ball, trick centre halves into giving away free kicks. Are you saying you can see that in Sam Gallagher, Im afraid I cant. I not saying we need to change everything but after an hour sometimes the ability to buy a free kick is a skill I think Rovers miss at the moment.
  18. Thought we had that already with the midfield that contains Buckley and Rothwell, but at times conditions and opposoition formations prevent this being effective. At times a bit more Agricultral football is needed. The key is variation
  19. Agree but we do need a plan B, not just plan A with different personnel if things aren't working. Playing off a target man could be an option especially with heavy pitches. Its beyond coincidence that Rovers' poorer games in our great run is PNE and Huddesfield after torrential downpours. Dack's ability in finding space in and around the box was key to many of his goals with Graham. I cant see SG giving that ability to hold and lay the ball off. I'm worried that with two serious knee injuries that box to box is a bit much to expect now.
  20. Someone else beat you to it a couple of hours ago!! I said sorry then!
