It left a huge gap in defence which a better side than Wigan would have exploited. Having defenders who can come forward is fine if you have midfielders or full backs that are quick enough mentally and physically who can get into a covering position. Im sorry but we havent got that so this maybe the reason they are being told not to leave their stations.
