  1. Klopp, Mourinho, Ferguson, Shankley, got the best out of their players. The quiet ones Mercer, Busby had an aura that made good players great eg Tony Book. You can’t imagine Mowbray being one tenth as good as these managers.
  2. I’m not from an elite sporting background, but I did play football and cricket to my mid 40’s damaged ligaments curtailed my career. You want to give that extra for those managers that inspire you, not a boring uncharismatic manager. You don’t respond to shouting from the touch line, rather it’s encouraging and showing some passion that does the business. Mowbray OUT OUT OUT.
  3. Rigger that’s the problem, they are weak and afraid that they’ll not move up the ladder if they don’t toe the line with the big clubs. A premiership referee is now on a 6 figure salary so why would they not favour their clubs. By the time they are premiership referees they are in the big clubs pockets.
  4. You’re wrong rigger the refs are fucking WORSE. I can’t believe how incompetent they are. Some of the bookings against Leicester where unbelievable. The future is bright the future is blue and white.
  5. Sorry 1864 I work for an Indian multinational and they are very loyal to their staff, more to my annoyance. I’ve wanted redundancy for the last 5 years and I’m still employed. I’m 64 on the 11th of October and they’ve said I can go part time from my 65th birthday. You can’t get better employers. Mowbray and his bunch of no hopers are here for the long term.
  6. Agreed Sparks, we should have sold Mowbray and kept the lad. Problem being we’d have to pay to get rid of the poor smuck. It shows that with a good goalkeeping coach and another couple of years development we’d have a £25m to £30 goalkeeper. For all those that disagree all I would say is look at Ramsdale to Arsenal.
  7. I think I may stop going to Ewood and just watch the u23s. Highlights from Chelsea FC was great and unbiased.
  8. Brentford beat West Ham to go 7th. Raya cheap buy, I wonder what those who thought it was a good deal think now. Selection to the Spain squad getting nearer by the day.
  9. Rigger not bothered about the legal implications, I was responding that there was a pre contract, and from my Business Law days your correct it’s not enforceable but we can sue if the contract is not signed.
  10. He’s signed a pre-contact that comes into affect on his birthday.
  11. That’s a bit flippant.FFP affects how much we can spend on players salaries (first team only). It has no affect on the others. Mowbray was useless last season. We’ll see what this one brings. Lost fans should come and see what they’re missing. The pitch looks good to me and any infrastructure is excluded from FFP. I hope this clarifies the position we are in. Maggot out.
  12. I agree Sparks, agents are the scum of the earth. Players need expert help when negotiating contracts, but these twats are only in it for their cut. I don’t understand why clubs have to pay. It’s the player’s responsibility to get the best advise. I have to pay for pension advise not my Indian employer.
  13. Agreed somewhat 99, but FFP is not fixed with a one-off windfall. Until we get out of this god awful division we have to plan for the long term. Giving improved contracts to a few will make the rest unsettled. They have to keep a tight reign on costs until success is secured.
  14. Unless we are guaranteed promotion then FFP comes into affect. I don’t want us to be the next Derby/Bolton or even Bury.
  15. Agreed they got Raya on the cheap. Top class keeper, Arsenal must be kicking themselves that they ended up paying an additional £18m on Ramsdale.
  16. You miss the point again. I’m not comparing our situation to WBA. I’m say what evidence is that his teams have c5ashed in the past. Our team has changed dramatically from the last two years, and the youngsters in the team eg Buckley are two years older. Are you being purposely antagonist, and trying to get my posts pulled?
  17. jack I don’t know if this works but it sets out the compensation rules between UEFA countries. It was fairly easy on a google search. Why don’t you try it before responding.
  18. Agreed, that’s the normal route back into the first team. Plus it stress tests for injuries before he gets near the first team.
  19. What I was saying if you read my post again is that the makeup of the team AND the dynamics have changed from last season. How many senior players have left, leaving the youngsters to step up to the mark. Have you looked at his record at West Brom. There’s nothing to say his teams have death spirals mid season in the past. I’m not one of his fans but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
  20. Why don’t you check out the UEFA/FIFA rules.
  21. Why? I’m not in favour of him staying but give the guy credit. He may have been forced to blood some youngsters but it’s working. The makeup of the team is different to previous years. So to expect a death spiral is tempting fate. Get behind him.
  22. Even a transfer to another country will result in a transfer fee, it will not be as high as if he moved to an English club, but he will not moving for nowt.
  23. I’ve not seen this in any of the press, I watched his half against Leicester, he looked ring rusty but physically looked okay. I’ve again gone back through the last months telegraph and can’t see any references to another hamstring injury. Where did you pick it up?
