I've voted for Mark Hughes but knowing there is absolutely no possibility that will happen. Heart of hearts we all expect Damien to get it don't we? Hughton is a good shout though.

My worry is that Mowbray will stay and the best players, including our young ones, will go.

Sparky for me, best manager in my lifetime. Dalglish was great but he had the dosh to do it with. Hughes didn't.

Very few players improve under Mowbray, most go backwards. Its probably because they are in the wrong position but also because, in his anxiety, he's coached all the fun out of it. He's hardly the "go out there and play is he"?

Yes, a 20 goals a season striker would transform this team.We've paid £12M and not got one. Crazy! Even better with an ugly, old-fashioned centre-back as well. For that first goal, how could a lone striker with 3 defenders in the vicinity be allowed to retain possession in the 6 yard box for so long. The ball should have been booted into Row Z!

You would have to think fitness was an issue wouldn't you? For a long time now we have regularly conceded late goals and we never have anything like a rousing finale. As others have said, if we are 1 down with 10 minutes to go you might as well go home. The game just fizzles out, we never get a late winner. Other teams perform very differently. Something basic very wrong here.

Re the rugby, the ref actually over-ruled the VAR over a forward pass and got it right!!."It was obviously a forward pass" the mike picked up! Brilliant!

We have a better squad than results and performances suggest but its a very unbalanced squad. I'd call it a collection of players rather than a squad. TM's successor will have to have a big clear-out and serious money spent on the defence. The squad is so big because TM wants to play around with it every week! I think he's been indulged too long. We need a trimmed down squad with 2 able players for every position + perhaps 4 more, everyone clear what their job is and the best 11 picked every week.

You're missing the point of course. The stats you produce are damning but you supported TM with great enthusiasm and scoffed at his detractors throughout that period and well into this season.
