  1. Leeds looking dodgy, best 2 chances of the game to Brentford. Very impressed by the speed of their counter-attacking.
  2. If TM knew we had roughly 9M to spend at the start of the window and he chose to spend 7M of it on Brereton as a future prospect then it absolutely beggars belief.
  3. Wonder if he'll go for Freeman to make it 9? Agree with everything you say, in fact have said it often!
  4. Chaddy, can you please spend less time telling us what you think Mowbray or Waggot or anyone else at Rovers said or thinks? Its increasingly annoying.
  5. I said at the time (and was criticised for it) that it was odd that no other club seemed to have any interest in him at all. I worry they were right.
  6. But we were speculating that this would be the case even before the team was announced. TM is just too cautious and he's a bit long in the tooth to change now. Need to lower our expectations I think.
  7. The way we chased him for weeks and weeks and the price we paid, I thought he was some wunderkind. I honestly can't see what TM sees in him. Would a kid from our under-23's have done any worse? OK, he's had limited opportunities, but it looks like that's because we daren't give him anymore time on the pitch. Really disappointed.
  8. Its funny, we would have had no chance of the summer signings joining us last season when we were in Div 1 but now we are in a higher league the Div 1 players start and the signings are left out.

  10. And to me. That team is akin to parking the bus. What's the point of signing creative mid-fielders if we won't pick them? Are we are more concerned with identifying opposition weaknesses and countering them than identifying our own strengths and playing to them?
  11. It was the Premiership though, over half of them. Interestingly not your Chelseas or Manures but those in the bottom half. Can't disagree with your last comment. There should be an unconditional, fixed maximum charge for away fans, given all the cost and trouble getting there and in. Provides atmosphere without which football is dead. Its not fans who run the show though.
  12. A season ticket should never be undercut at seasonal pro-rata rate but everything else should be on the table. No evidence though that Rovers think there is anything wrong with the pricing. Must be the fan's fault.
  13. You asked for any evidence that vaping was harmful. I gave you some. You then challenge me to ban coffee! Its an old tactic used by people who are quite committed to something irrespective of any evidence. Of course I don't want to ban coffee.I don't want to ban alcohol, I don't even want to ban vaping!
  14. A very interesting idea. Sadly Rovers not up for them atm.
  15. So people were saying we hardly get any walk-ons. Clearly that isn't so. Something for the Club to work with supposing that they have the right mind-set.First encourage more walk-ons by lowering the price, keeping it above season ticket price. Then, hope we can convince walk-ons to see the value and point of a season ticket-----cheaper,own seat guaranteed and exciting games. 3 match tickets are a good way of getting the habit started again imo.
  16. We are only 2 points from the play-offs though even after all those dropped points. I know that over half of the league is at that level or better so it is going to be very competitive. January looms as very important to us.Keep in touch till then, strengthen the defence and sign a Chapman-type and we would be in with a chance. I'm assuming we keep Dack of course! We are a million miles away from when Coyle left.
  17. What was the final season ticket sales figure? Last one I heard was the 9500 quoted on here. If that is so, there were a fair number of walk-ons yesterday. Attendance was around 14400? Around 2500 Forest fans? If season ticket sales remained at around 9500 means well over 2000 walk-ons. Not gigantic admittedly but not insignificant. That would encourage me to believe we would get more if the price were lower.
  18. Its less harmful than smoking certainly but it is not harmless. Vaping means taking in nicotine which is addictive. It increases the heart rate, in other words it makes the heart work harder, meaning potential heart problems down the track. As a way of getting off tobacco and not inhaling the likes of furniture polish and tar direct into your lungs, vaping is a better thing to do. However the vaper is still an addict. The longterm effects of vaping are still unknown for obvious reasons.
  19. And I thought you never got personal and just commented on football!
  20. We should have VAR. Irritating it might be but it prevents an injustice like this one.
  21. Maybe move Lenihan to central mid-field where his fouls will be outside the penalty area. We will never drop a fit Mulgrew so pair him with Rodwell and drop Smallwood?
