I think we should have a poll on this! Question is a) should we spend money on a player with potential that will grow and develop here? OR b) should we spend it on some over-paid player on daft wages who's barely played over the last 12/18 months? Gee, its a tough one Chaddy's asking and I'm going to take my time and think it over.

Didn't have internet then Bob but .if I had, you could have looked back and seen how ecstatic I was! No comparison between then and now, Jack determined to spend money and me happy to watch him! Venkys however..........erratic and simplistic. TM has actually said he's had to calm them down! More likely to suddenly turn the tap off as keep it flowing.

We still need a centre-back(imo). Is the Chapman deal dead? That McGinn would have been a good buy. I'd sooner see what money we have spread over several players who are better than we have than take a punt on one young lad. That's just me but I always felt Mowbray had the same sort of caution. This is an exciting time---potentially. I hope we don't blow it.

Also Venkys tend to be at one extreme or another, If they pay up big-time for a player and he doesn't justify the fee then they will likely freeze the funding and go back to loans and freebies. Mowbray will know he has to be careful, he can't take their support for granted, they are nothing if not erratic.

You are aware that the loan window ends on 31 August aren't you? I'm sure Forest are! What does it matter what Mowbray thinks of the player if the club want 12M? Crazy! I agree with Mowbray and Rovers---6M.
