  1. Yes, was going to post that. Bit harsh if he's left out for a loanee. That's another problem with loanees by the way!
  2. The rule of thumb is 2 players for every position plus about another 4 for good luck. We've got well over that I'd imagine but that's not the same as 2 for every position. Still need centre-back/winger/1 striker if Samuel is out for a long period.Could keep Nuttall I suppose but.... Then we have several players to get rid of. Tick tock.
  3. Once they've sold eh?
  4. The problem now for TM is to keep every player happy. I suppose injuries will take care of some of that. Astonishing really given where we were.
  5. Watched him in the Norwich game last weekend. He didn't do much.
  6. in the wrong direction!
  7. Can I introduce you to Abbey? Please..
  8. Me too. A centre-back as well and it will have been a terrific window (but late!)
  9. Good news is good news even if its in the Daily Mail! Loan with no option to buy, is that what the rag is saying?
  10. So much for all that pre-season high intensity training!
  11. Are we saying that Brereton is the complete kitchen?
  12. But he's no Shearer! And we shouldn't place that burden on him. From descriptions I've read from Forest fans he sounds more like Kalinic. Runs the channels, loads of enthusiasm and energy but not a lot of outcome. That was Kalinic when we had him but he has clearly vastly improved on that. We sold Kalinic before we saw his best, I hope Venkys remember that.
  13. A couple of Forest fans reaction to the transfer: Re: Ben Brere-gone (sponsored by Lard) I'm not as heart broken as others. I didn't want him to go. I think he is talented and has potential. I think he's been majorly overhyped and if we viewed his time so far and the deal in respect of another Champ club, we'd probably think it's a reasonable deal. Everyone loves academy players coming through, it's a lovely romantic ideology. Sadly, it's also the case that a, it mostly happens in times of hardship and b, when they hit anything like good form, They go anyway. I'd say it's a shame he wasn't hear another year and maybe got 10 goals as maybe he'd have been sold to a Prem club for a bit more instead. But I won't be devastated over it. Selling Ollie Burke hurt 10x more. Re: Ben Brere-gone (sponsored by Lard) Originally Posted by Steve Stone's Mullet Everyone loves academy players coming through, it's a lovely romantic ideology. Selling Ollie Burke hurt 10x more. Me neither, I saw potential in him but he never seemed seemed to bring it out on the day, apart from the game against Arsenal. Easily bullied and falls over too much. A great academy protege none the less.
  14. My God, Chaddy has his own interpreters now! Seriously who wants to read this shit?
  15. So long as it doesn't go a bit Myles!
  16. Hard not to laugh at this story! We knew he was a set get now we know he's thick as well.
  17. I don't see that that post of KHod's is actually punishing anyone., he's just giving his opinion. You continue to divide us into being on one side or the other which I find irritating but no-one is punishing you. As for Chaddy, he is invariably over-optimistic, often self-contradictory and therefore provokes a response----imo of course.
  18. Give it a rest for god's sake.
  19. I asked this! Several times! Once the media got on to the fact that we are willing to pay what seems a lot of money for him I thought that would alert them and we'd lose him. But no interest at all. Let's hope their loss is our gain. But it does seem odd Jim!
  20. RED HAIR! Always get cracking mid-fielders with gingers. Tough terriers!
  21. All the doubts about the Brereton deal were based on Forrest having rejected our bid for 6M and demanding double! No need to be embarrassed about that! If we get him for 6M, then its a different story and much less of a risk. We still have too many mid-fielders and not enough wide, and still need another centre-back. Sort those 2 out and get Brereton for 6M and I'm a happy man and I think we all would be.
  22. We all(?) agree we need another centre-back for when (not if) either Lenihan or Mulgrew are unavailable. That's why TM pursued Bauer for so long but Charlton haven't shifted. So it now seems that the additional centre-back will be Rodwell! I see that as a huge risk and there is no evidence to suggest otherwise. Most of us believe we need Chapman or someone like him. It looks as if the striker issue is settled. That's where it sits for me and we have till Friday to sort it out.
  23. Yes but the problem with that is you weren't wrong!!!
  24. I'd have preferred Edwards. How did we miss that one? Ticks every box. Maybe if Ipswich get relegated?.....
  25. I'm not arguing with you mate just agreeing! We had him for one year already, he's signed a new contract for 3 years, that makes a total of 4! Yes?
